- Disney and Hyundai unveiled the Ioniq 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept car at the New York Auto Show. This special edition EV was built to celebrate Disney's upcoming 100th birthday, and it has some very unique features including special badging, an etched sunroof, and full-color LED screens on the front and back. Better yet, this wild concept will be built and offered as a limited production vehicle to customers.

Except the actual production model doesn't have the screens and only has the headlights
I just bought one and no screens and no pixie lights on roof
what a ripoff and bait and switch move. Literally would have been stupid enough to pay the extra but no lightshow outside now? Wasted opportunity.
Hyundai should DEFINITELY redesign the wheel to make it look like Disney Mickey Mouse (1 big circle with 2 little circles and make 3 of them touching each other at the edge of the ears or little circles, with the big circle in the outside and the little circles in the inside of the rim). Then in the middle of the wheel, they should write the number "100" to cerebrate the 100th anniversary of Disney.
Physically they cannot. But maybe have plastic cover do like that
I'm here because I saw one of these at my local dealer and I needed a good laugh today. I expect it will remain at the dealer for many, many months to come.
This is a pretty cool car. Never thought I would like it, but I do.
It's a little silly, sure. But concepts are supposed to be silly.
Can you imagine getting replacement parts for that screen...

Certainly better than the Venture WB edition! I think that was just some badges and a rear screen entertainment system (wouldn’t have been a bad idea to incorporate that into this car though). I do wonder how they’ll work around those screens being used out in public or on the road.
They won't. We can't imagine these things are anywhere near capable of complying with FMVSS. Which stinks because that would make the car quite unique.
That matte finish might kill it for my mom as a potential option for her next vehicle. She loves her "unlimited" Crew Carwash. Any chance to opt out of matte...? Probably not.
😢I am so sad that some of these beautiful features are missing so not pushing my man for this as our first EV.
only 1000 will be made and sold in the states. starting at $59,400.
My wife is very upset this is not available in Canada.
This will be marked up to the price of $100K as well. 🐭
