    Thanks for the Updates Sam.
I've been an early adopter owner of a 2018 Ioniq that I bought new, and being a technology beta tester for many years I was aware and prepared for early tech pains. As such I've been more than satisfied, probably more so than those without the tech background and so different expectation levels. BTW: I have run it out 3 times, twice I got a Gater with a generator on the back to get me to a charger. Still no regrets as I simply pushed too far. Generally I run at ~13Kw/100Km so quite good especially for a 6 year old vehicle.
Now that a lot of vehicles are getting to the 5+ year age, so are the batteries. I had expected that the technology would move exactly as it has and now range and safety have significantly have improved, but like a lot of others are now seeing that we will be left behind by the manufacturers as the batteries are not easily or cheaply replaceable, which is disappointing, as otherwise the vehicle itself is great. I certainly like the NIO model where a quick swap could fix this whole issue and I had assumed that all the vendors would follow this route at some time. A replacement battery right now is more than the vehicle cost(literally), and so also will be impacting insurance as a little dint in the battery module is now a complete write off for the car.
I really would have thought that taking care of the early adopters that were willing to help and prove the technology out would be better looked after, but it seems we will be abandoned, and left to fork out for brand new as my ageing lithium's become more and more apt to failure including dendrites and simple cell failure. Will just wait for the nice new 10K Chinese car to be available.
I'd really like to see a episode on the upcoming problems for those long time owners that have done the EV thing, and when abandoned may themselves abandon the vendors. Having worked in the Technology Standards for many years it seems strange to me that every EV vendor must make a unique battery when standardisation could make car manufacturers car manufacturers focusing on the vehicles themselves and not battery science experts they are trying to become. I never knew GM or Ford or Nissan .... to be Oil field and/or petroleum product experts, except in its use. Why has the EV industry gone down this rabbit hole ?

Hyundai EV batteries have a minimum life expectancy of 300,000 to 330,000 miles and more.
As such, they'll far outlast the life of the vehicle itself.

I'm on the fence on a 2024 Ioniq 5 SEL. I think I'm going to wait for the 2025. I hope I don't end up regretting waiting with the incentives.
(edit) With the range the new car will have combined with the speed of charging, it's kind of a no brainer.
I'm not blown away with it's looks, but I can learn to like nearly anything for the right price.

Hyundai already has OTA software updates for the Ioniq 6 and EV9 so it will happen for the new Ioniq 5. They've always had OTA for just the infotainment but the I6 and EV9 have OTA for the drive firmware as well.

I think the upgrades are good. I'm getting an impreasion the updated ioniq 5 has smoother lines. I like that less. I think the frist gen ioniq 5 impressed me a lot with its bolder lines, much more esthetically pleasing. Not sure if the observations are true though.
I think most are happy with the rear wiper, although I notice many rear wipers are vwry small which leavea the surface area of the windows you can actually see through small too. I think in general the wiper needs a technological upgrade in general, even at Tesla. Would be nice to see a wiper where we also don't need to use wiper fluid any more. Wiper fluid is also expensive and a waste.
The second most complained issue I believe is the tegular failure of the 12V battery. It is a pity there is no news on that. More Hyundai models also have 12V battery issues still. A bigger spoiler to me likely means the tear window visibility will be less and you will be more dependent on the rear camera. Munro did a teardown where we saw the middle console used an astronomical amount of parts to assemble. Would be great to see a new teardown and if the ioniq 5 has less parts. The inside V2L box was said to be flimsy. Would be interesting to see if this box has improved. I liked the current light interior design. The mixed white on beige looks ugly. Will be interesting to see if the price will be lower. The ioniq 5 does have a special place, as a very aspiring car to see. I agree I like it more than the model 3 or Y design.

The wireless updates work well (the first one, at least) and the on windshield safety display is awesome. My wife owns last year’s SEL version and wants my car! They’re both amazing cars. If it is smaller than 710 litters or 25-28 cu ft, it is not good.
A family of two parents and two kids going on a long vacation with 4-5 big luggages should have that minimum trunk volume.

Question, way more less? Will it be another recall? Time will tell. This said, since it's under warranty and now they have parts in stock, than now normally not a long time fix with what I heard. Personally I don't fear about it, but I'm curious to know if most is fixed for the long run. I bet they will fix it since they still keep the same equipment for those new models.
