not a lot of cars right now offer a V2L function. I just had a power outage and it kept my fridges and wifi and other essentials going like a champ. highly recommended accessory to get! if you're an avid camper or in spots that don't have access to electricity then the v2l adapter is gold! great video!
I live in The Netherlands and we have a lot of rain. The oem wipers were bad at the first few hours of using them. Bult after a few hours they became more flexible and they are werking well now.
I like blackvue myself but that was mainly because that's what my local installer supported. It works even when the car is off so you can see if someone smacked your car while you were away.
From your video: ONIQ5 Beskar Metal Morse Code Emblem Metal Badges Front & Rear Set of 2 Which color/finish would you recommend for 2023 Ioniq 5 Limited in Abyss Black? They look great! Any experience out there?
I bought the LinerX floormats and rear cargo mat based on your recommendations, love 'em! For wipers I've always had good experience with Trico, Bosch and RainX. There's so many charger options out there, the Autel was on my radar but I got the Emporia L2 and its pretty nice, haven't had issues (yet) charging at 40amps. Tesla Tap sounds like the next thing to add to the list! Thanks for the vids!
Being a new Ioniq5 owner I love your channel. Can you make a video on how you used the V2L to plug into to your house panel ? It might help me someday.
I have the V2L adapter but have only used it to run a car vac. Have you used it for more power hungry stuff or home backup? If so, how did you do the connection, especially if you connected the car to your breaker box. Or did you just use a heavy duty extension cord and multi-outlet power strip? Thanks.
Love your videos boss! I just got an Ioniq5, I was wondering which dash cam exactly u use? I didn't see any link on the description below. Please and thank you! Keep it up!
I use the FitcamX. It replaces the housing behind the rear view mirror on SEL and Limited trims with one that has a decent 4K dash cam built into it. If you look through my videos I made a review a few months back
PSA, do not wire from fuse box. I did so on a 2020 g70. I had my miror lights stop working and they traced it back to the fuse box. But because I used a fuse tap they declined it as a warranty fix. Newer cars can apparently be sensitive to fuse taps. A better way is use the power from the obd port. I ran a comma unit and they were fine with that.
Can somebody tell me how to find your list on Amazon? I can’t seem to get to it through the app! Edit: Nevermind, I found it!!! Thanks dude, just got my limited a couple of days ago and will def be getting some of these!
I installed the a Viofo A119 Mini 2 using the Dongar adapter yesterday. Looks pretty clean, I tucked the wires inside the housing. I do notice a little glare though. How's that dashcam with Window glare?
Trying to install the Tuxmat in the back on my 2023 Ionic 5 limited. It appears there is something under the center console preventing the back seat mat from sliding forward all the way. Did you have any issues?
can you link me to the USB LED Accents 4 pack you mentioned I haven't found the ones that stay off in the day. Am I to understand you leave your plugged in always?
Just got the water bottle cup holder and it’s great. Clever with the holes on the bottom to snap into the cup holder tabs. I wish my water bottle wasn’t so tall though because it comes up pretty high but it’s way better than not having a place to put them. Highly recommend it if you use a large water bottle.
Trico is supposed to do very good wipers also. For USB light, I recommand red. It's the color that will allow your eyes to get back to dark faster (any astronomer will confirm). As for panel upgrade (if needed), there is devices that will manage the current. Basically it will allow what's available. If it's peak hour at your home, they will allow little current to the car. Then, later, when there's more available, it will allow more to the car. Might be cheaper than to get a electric panel upgrade.
Oh wow I purchased the linerX mats based on your other video (sometimes it gets confusing what the current recommendation is because of the dates of the videos), and I just saw in this one you say tuxmat is more premium. They are the same price, so now I’m wondering if I should have gone for tuxmat instead.
The Tuxmats just look a little more upscale but I find them more difficult to clean and they’re more likely to wear through. The LinerX will definitely be more robust long-term
While I agree that the oem wipers suck, the cheap Costco wipers work great (better than those $35 Bosch) $18 total. With the dash cam I went with a cheap small dash cam and did the wire in to the connector in the mirror. $80 total with the dongle. I agree on the usb lights. Autel is over priced compared to the emporia charger.
@@Clenathan It actually does matter. If he gets a subscription for advertising a product that means he can't be impartial. Last year he advertised Bosch, this year it's Rain-X. I have no difficulty with him pushing his own products but we need to know if he is being paid by the others. There is far too much of this on TH-cam already with "influencers" not making it clear that they are actually advertising for profit.
I have no affiliation with Bosch or Rain-X, I’m simply exploring options as when I first got this car I couldn’t find anything that fit besides Bosch. I received the floor mats (except for the tuxmats), dash cam, and Maxicharger free of charge but I have no ongoing sponsorship from any of them. I turn down many sponsored video requests because I don’t believe the items to be of quality. There are many other automotive channels willing to push any object that a company is willing to give them for free but I don’t operate that way. I was reviewing the EnelX Juicebox earlier this year and after a couple weeks I sent it back to them and told them I could never recommend anybody buy it because the app/installation experience was so horrible.
@TheIoniqGuy Thanks for sharing! Honestly, I'd be glad to see some videos on things to avoid, so something like your experience with EnelX would be really interesting for me (I know you did a follow-up on the Lectron J1772 adapter after learning more about Teslatap, which was a REALLY good bit of info).
ok. I just installed on mine and like the black better although I sort of started to hear some small noise coming from there, perhaps the plastic itself heating up I dont know
What about security accessories ? It seems ionic 5 is super easy to steal. By the way, will Hyundai release a software update to unlock the car with PIN code like Tesla ?

A wireless Apple CarPlay dongle would be a good accessory…as Hyundai still doesn’t offer wireless….WTF? And a cloth and window cleaner accessory would work wonders on that back window which desperately needs a wiper that you can’t get…(another inexplicable choice by Hyundai). 😅

The single most important upgrade, a replacement drive battery protection plate.
Which a nice friend of mine will be CNC'ing for me.
my stock wipers are just absolutelz fine

Is the interior plug in the 2024 Ioniq 5 the same as the vehicle to load adapter?
Excuse me, do you know where I can find the vent covers under the driver and passenger seats of the Hyundai Ioniq 5?
Can you talk about how you backed up your circuit breaker to a plug to go into the V2L?

What did you add to your house panel to use your car to power your house
A generator inlet that just backfeeds the entire electrical panel. th-cam.com/video/ZmmhOXsIRjw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=X4tVhZ7tIENIZ5l0

Can you recommend anything to protected the wheel arches in the trunk from scratches?
How fast can you charge with the Tesla Tap mini? Can you do fast charging, like 30 min for a whole refill? Thanks
No, it’s only for level 2 charging
What about for the area under the trunk? I have some items under there that are just rolling around.
How many of these accessory manufacturers offer you sponsorship for plugging their products?
Doesn't matter, nobody is forcing you to buy these actual items. He's making your shopping easy if you wish it.

I see where the new Ioniq 5 N model will have an 83 Watt-hour battery. Any idea of the regular 24 models will have the bigger battery as an option?
From what I’ve heard it sounds like it might be possible. The new battery pack occupies the same space it’s just more energy dense
also did you get the front view camera or rear view also?
Front only
hi what about the gloss screen protectors to make the borders black? did you take them off?

Any idea why the v2L is not compatible with 2023 ioniq 5?
When I select my car the price for the compatible one is over 500
They’re all cross compatible the websites are just incorrect
I would love a nalgene size cup holder adapter.
I used my V2L to run my gas furnace overnight (12 hours) and it only used 5% of my battery! I probably wont ever use our portable gen again.
