      Agree! No need to waste it. I also like sage a lot. When we make homemade pork sausage, I double up on the sage.

    I grew up with bread stuffing (in the bird), but down here, it's mainly cornbread dressing or rice dressing. They're all good 😋

    I’m so glad that you and Mandy both shared stuffing recipes. I buy it to use throughout the year for easy meals, but I make homemade southern dressing for Thanksgiving. I make it like my mother did.

    Oh my goodness! I think it would be about the time this video went up, I was standing in the pantry and thinking that I wish I could find a few recipes using stuffing mix. And here it is! I am going to comment after I watch it but wow, coincidence!

      As a single person I would typically make the full-size version of any of these recipes however I would divide them into several smaller dishes like instead of a 9 by 13 I might do three or four loaf pans and then freeze them. Then what I do is label it put it in the freezer and I will have the one that I keep out to eat that night and maybe another night that week and then later in the month I can pull another one of the pans out or wait up to 3 months on most of those. I am desperately anxious to try the breakfast one and the one the last one you made.

    My grandma made one with white bread, onion, celery, broth, and your typical seasonings and that's it. No turkey. No cornbread. Just bread.

      That's exactly how I make mine except I add the Jimmy Dean sage flavored sausage and a little unsweetened applesauce. It's so delish

      @@imd1super615 It’s my favorite. I’m a little autistic and have sensory issues so if there’s too much going on with my food I get overwhelmed so I don’t like meat in my dressing. I’d rather have it on the side and ME get to choose how much of it I eat.

      It was so easy to make! It seems like such a scary thing because you always hear people talking about it breaking, but it was really simple! This was the easiest recipe I've used by far.

    Use the leafy tops from the celery. It has delicious flavor and is like adding fresh herbs to your dish. I use it in everything I cook with celery. Great in soups and casseroles

    I am southern. All dressing (stuffing) involves cornbread. I also make dressing and pork chops, adding cream corn to the dressing. I make dressing in muffin pans to freeze for later individual meals. Put leftover turkey in the dressing and all you need is gravy.

    My family is a big fan of all stuffings. Sometimes we have just bread stuffing and sometimes we have the cornbread stuffing. I have also been known to mix bread stuffing and cornbread stuffing together. That, too, is delicious. I have also added sausage to the stuffing, which is my family's favorite.

    I love the bread stuffing the best. Now I always make homemade bread stuffing for thanksgiving. But I grew up on Pepperidge Farm. I love your recipes!

    I bet (re the chicken casserole) some peas, green beans, carrots and/or corn mixed into the chicken layer would be phenomenal! We always make a cornbread dressing but use about half of a bag of that same stuffing mix in it.

    And I love the breakfast casserole with hollandaise. Heavier, creamy but lemon taste is a great contrast to the dish, brightening it up - but I just love lemon.

    My mom used to make cornbread stuffing from scratch. So good.

    I'm originally from Alabama and we almost never had stuffing - It was always cornbread dressing with chicken in it. So that's what I tend to prefer for the holidays.
    I'd make those muffins anytime of the year though - they look good!

    I’m a Louisiana girl, although I live in Missouri now. We are hands down fans of Cornbread Dressing. There is only cornbread in it, as far as bread goes! We do not stuff the bird, either. I do like other recipes using stuffing mixes, but not at thanksgiving or Christmas. That is reserved for traditional southern cornbread dressing with cranberry sauce and a little gravy!

      La girl here too...from near Baton Rouge. I'm in so Flo now but its cornbread dressing for the holidays. I never even knew there were dressings made with bread until I was way into adulthood. 😂

    Most of us southerners prefer cornbread dressing filled with celery and onion. Corn muffins have sugar, cornbread usually doesn’t. Some people want sweet everything my family doesn’t.

    I love the traditional stuffing. I also love corn bread but I don’t like cornbread stuffing. I really enjoyed this video and getting different ideas in how to use stuffing mix. By the way my favorite stuffing mix is Pepperidge farm as well. Thanks for this. 😊

    I always cook cornbread dressing for Thanksgiving. My sons love it so much they all ask me to make a pan for them to take home and have later. Which I always do. Then at Christmas we don’t like doing traditional . We like smoked sausage and chicken gumbo or steaks or lasagna. Or we do all party food.

    When we make homemade stuffing we use both bread crumbs and cornbread crumbs in ours.

    5:26 i like stuffing period. The only stuffing i dont care for too much is the kind that is really mushy where it oozes all over the plate. So i guess prefer the cubed version over the crumbled one but regular or cornbread yum! Growing up in our house the after Thanksgiving meal was "stuffing sandwiches" - turkey, gravy, cranberry topped off with stuffing, more gravy and the"lid", -- the top slice of bread.😊
    That's a one wild Kitchen Aid you have! Yuck, i don't want that piece! Lol

    The chicken casserole you made looks really good. I liked the changes you made to it. I always thought this recipe was salty. Your version I don't think would be.

    I prefer bread stuffing, but without sausage, and I make as much as the bird will hold and the rest in a dish. I do, however put some extra stock in the stuffing, in the dish, to keep it moist.

    Like NancyBrewer8494 I am Southern and dressing is made with cornbread that is cooked the day before and then make the dressing the next morning and let set at least 2 hrs...ate this all my life...(don't tell anyone but I will be 59 in Feb., ssshhh)

    I had to make dinner for my brother in law who hates onions or the texture of them so I just shredded them on a box grater. You have the taste on onion but not the texture

      i measured out the ounces since its not a liquid. But you could always just look at the amount of ounces on the bag and divide the bag into 1/2 or 1/3.
