I was looking forward to see this series. Finally, my format is getting some love! I wished the whole tournament had been recored but the basic group was probably not done on site, I guess. But I am stilly happy about what I get. Toffel is always really good but I am getting impression that Carl REALLY improved. Very tight plays and assumptions from both. Lands is considered to be one of the harderst deck to play in Legacy and the matchup should be bad. Thoralf got really bad luck in G2 specially with Digs stil legal in the deck but it does not change the fact that Carl did really good job. I loved the show, the chemistry, the plays, everyhting. Thank you guys for your job and WELCOME TO LEGACY!
Damn, that was clutch! Amazing first game to a great series. I really hope you will do this for all the formats and then have a greatest deck of all time tournament!
I'm so happy Legacy Lands was able to pull it off. My actual favorite Legacy deck of all time. Got nervous when it got trounced in game 1 so effortlessly, but glad to see it came back
Hearing both decks explained at the beginning I was sure Omnitell would win, but Lands was such a wonderful surprise!!! I love the flexibility and multiple lines it has and as usual Carl piloted it so well!!!! He is so creative!!! Rooting for Lands going forward!!!
At 2:55, just want to point out that cards that look for things outside the game do not allow you to get things from exile, as exile is technically a zone within the game.
Thoralf has been playing Magic so long, I'll give him a pass on this one. It was a rules change. Exile didn't always exist in the way it does today. I mean, old cards literally read "Remove from the game" which have been erratad to exile.
I first encountered lands.dek as a Canadian Highlander pile, and instantly fell in love with all of its galaxy brain ass win conditions. Very proud of Carl for clearing the hurdle of a lost dice roll against Omnitell and piloting it to victory. Next stop, the semifinals!
My favourite comp format, my favourite comp deck (lands) and this outcome, I have the biggest smile right now! I am so excited to see lands, one of the most unique and interesting decks in mtg in my opinion. I can't wait to see more!
Excellent stuff as always! In game 3, was that a misplay by Thoralf to play Show and Tell so quickly? He put an Emrakul into play on a turn when he already knew Carl had Crop Rotation in hand (from G Probe) and he had open green mana to cast it for a Karakas if he wanted. Thoralf had no counterspells for the Crop Rotation. Carl went a different, but still effective route. But Thoralf had all that information, unless I was missing something.

Yes this match-up played out so well :D I'm really happy that we got this as the kickoff to the series. Hopefully it gets the viewers to stick around for the next ones as well :D
I love these so much! Even though i understand why you dont, as it is a lot of editing, i wish every match had a video. I WANT MORE
Definetely didn’t understand why he wad attacking lands rather than getting Karakas in game 3 until the tabernacle came down. Fantastic line. Love it.
Yes! Love to see some Lands getting played. One of my favorite Legacy decks of all time.
Also, very slick plays with the double Gamble and the Karakas on Vendillion!
Absolutely love the outcome! Thanks for doing this with legacy.
This series is so good, and the quality of play in this game was awesome!
This series is amazing and having great players playing powerful magic is a privilege
This is so awesome, so glad to see the Legacy best deck series with some absolute bangers from Legacies history.
I've never played legacy, but I watch a lot to find cards for canlander. This was my favorite feature match on this channel so far!
Love it when great players are also very entertaining, funny, and engaging. Beautiful match to watch bravo 👏
Incredible game to start the series! Legacy truly is the format of razor-sharp plays and decison making.
Super excited for the legacy content on this channel. Legacy is by far my favorite format to watch.
Best mtg content on TH-cam as always. Thank you to the whole team for the videos ❤. Extra thank you for all your hard work and effort so we can watch Carl :)
Thank you for your kind comment :D I'm really happy you enjoyed this and can appreciate all the hard work that goes behind this!
Now this is real magic, well at least to me as Legacy is how I learned the game way back when it was still type 1.5 can't wait to see the rest of the decks.
That second game was hype! 21:10 love youu
Love a return of my favorite series, especially for a format that I find super interesting but have never gotten into 😄
YOOOO LETS GOOO! I was cheering for lands to take this but I was too confident since this is a rough matchup for the deck. Carl piloted real well, and the double gamble line was a great play! I'm real excited to see how far lands can go!
*wasn't too confident
Carl, you're no micro celebrity to me (amazing hat by the way!!) Best Deck Ever is such a great series and this opening match was PHENOMENAL. I cannot wait for more if this was just game 1!
There are 6 more videos! We'll be releasing one per week on every Thursday so that I have time to edit them. I'm really happy you enjoyed this one I was really proud of my plays :)
I have been waiting for this series since you announced them❤ Let's goooo
Great games! I loved that rishadan wasteland bluff and the gambling for a tutor lines
Seeing that tabernacle take out Emrakul was the highlight of my day
Legacy!! Thanks thanks!! And you both played so well that makes it even more interesting
First game of the series and it’s already crazy!
This was amazing to watch! Thank you for producing this guys.
I'm happy you enjoyed it :)
Damn, that was clutch! Amazing first game to a great series. I really hope you will do this for all the formats and then have a greatest deck of all time tournament!
That's currently the plan :) we just need 4 more formats 😅
@@CardmarketMagic How about Pioneer, Vintage, Extended and Block Constructed?
I'm so happy Legacy Lands was able to pull it off. My actual favorite Legacy deck of all time. Got nervous when it got trounced in game 1 so effortlessly, but glad to see it came back
holy moly I didnt expected the outcome of that match. Really nice games!
Hearing both decks explained at the beginning I was sure Omnitell would win, but Lands was such a wonderful surprise!!! I love the flexibility and multiple lines it has and as usual Carl piloted it so well!!!! He is so creative!!! Rooting for Lands going forward!!!
That turn in the last game was amazing! I did not know this tabernacle
Can I just say - really well piloted, Carl. That was an awesome match!
This was a very entertaining match to watch and i am excited for more like it!
Aah the series i’ve been waiting for!
God I love Lands, such a sharp deck. Kudos for piloting it well!
YESSSSSSS
I have been voting on these and been so excited to see the first video come out.
Great match! Really fun to watch that game, I really didn´t expected that outcome
I'm happy you enjoyed this :) I was also elated by the win!
What a comeback, i was more than halfway through the video and was like carl is completely cooked but he somehow won! Unbelievable
I can't wait for the mega tournament of all the winning decks of this series going against each other.
Carl had some really great lines this match, very cool (:
Absolutely insane game 2, well played Carl!
This is the best, I’ve waited for it for so long!
What a game to start the series! :D
I think Thoralf had his counterattack with his own Emrakul against Carl now haha
What an incredible set! Thank you for sharing these videos :) I hope you have a great rest of your day
I hope you have a lovely day as well :) I'm happy you enjoyed this!
