To be honest Byleth trying to rewind time for Jeralt was a smart play. They just so happened to get outplayed. But still, mad credit for the attempt on their behalf.
It was a good addition. It would have been nicer to learn how TWSITD can counter it. Moments when you realize the enemy can use that mechanic you've been abusing for the first half of the game make for some of the best oh-crap moments in gaming (I'm thinking Overlord when all your minions defect and Driver:San Fransisco, when the big bad reveals he can body hop too.) But they kinda wasted that chance, it seems it was mostly added to pre-empt fan questions.
Really? My first reaction why do I suddenly get this OP weapon that you totally didnt know was in that coffin that you totally dodnt have some part in having it opened.
It is literally the reason I always pick F!Byleth. Getting a future dark knight right at the start makes the late game so much easier since he can just run around murdering all the armored units

@@numbnutt9170 At least they tried to make it slightly balanced, requiring high Ride/Flier skill for those classes which are harder to raise since there aren't seminars for it or anything, but they're still better than 80% of the footlocked units
I went Blue Lions and didn't recruit anyone from other houses b/c laziness, and so the first two times he showed up he would have wrecked everyone. Death Knight had the honor of being like...the only physical enemy to do significant damage to Dedue pre-timeskip, though. I didn't even make him a Fortress Knight.
For reference, "Dark Spikes" is strong against horse units because caltrops, which are also just called "spikes," were primarily used in wars to slow or stop horses, as their shape would always have a spike pointed up regardless of how they were placed and would pierce their hooves. The "dark" part is just because magic.
I got that support after the Dorothea Hubert one. It is just felt weird how she was pushing on Hubert to admit his feelings for Edelgard and then she turns around and low key flirts with the princess.
2:52 Tfw you still have like 12+ divine surges when Geralt dies but Byleth just says "Meh, I don't feel like it" and decides not to use any of those to save his own father.
That was me on the last mission i didn't feel like doing the mission so i suicided and used units as distractions and had 3 units hold the rear... only 1 lived to tell the tale
@@bobby31723 That's an issue with the game yeah, someone offered that originally Jeralt was going to be the OP unit like Frederic. That would give way more opportunities for bonding, but since the game was rushed toward the end, they had to cut that.

Can I just say as someone who went Black Eagles first i was completely floored that my lord was actually the Flame Emperor, one of the villains the game was setting up. Man Black Eagles is a trip I love it.
It’s still a trip with Blue Lion. They left just enough hints that it was her especially with the knife but I will still so shocked it was actually her that even after the cutscene I had to keep it there for a minute
2fast4you ! : Yes Lysithea, Manuela, Lindhart, and now Hapi can all learn warp but Manuela is the worst among them with a Magic growth of 35%. For comparison, Linhardt and Hapi magic growth is 45% while Lysithea is 60%. Also, Lysithea gets warp at B rank in Faith and everyone else gets it at A rank

The only evidence you could get before the Emperor's face reveal was the knife she threw. And to figure that out, Dimitri must be the one who talked to you in the Goddess's Tower (after the events of the ball). That's when he talked about the knife for the first time in the Blue Lion route.
I know it's been awhile but I started with Golden Deer and had no idea who they were. My friend who had already gotten there literally came over after work just to see my reaction
What I always found weird about Jeralt's death is how I had like 9 divine pulses at that point and in the cutscene Byleth just uses one and calls it a day lol

Honestly, the lack of the rescue function was the one thing I was bummed out on initially, especially after playing FE6 for a bit before 3H came out. Then I realized that it wouldn’t make as much sense thanks to battalions (among other things), which then gave me a mental image of Ingrid trying to pick up Sylvain and his entire battalion, which gave me a good chuckle before accepting the reality of the Sword of the Creator only having 20 uses (which I only ended up using TWO TIMES on my first run anyway).

He didn't reverse the time far enough to change the RNG so no matter what he did, he couldn't stop it.

@Katsu rodrigue was a important development for Dimitri. If byleth went back in time to stop his death, Dimitri wouldn't change back to his old self
@Katsu It's likely meant to be assumed that Byleth had used it too much during the battle and couldn't use it then.
That, or the fact that Edelgard was still nearby, and she was originally planned to be able to interrupt Divine Pulse.
