Man…I couldn’t thank you enough for this video. My neighbor’s 2007 Vibe wouldn’t start yesterday. We tried jumping it at first, but the battery was clearly holding a charge so that was useless. The problem sounded just like what you were describing.
Took us a few minutes to get to the relay, and a few more to pull it out. Once out, we noticed heavy corrosion and deposits on the prungs. $37 and a trip to Auto Zone later, we tried a new one and BOOM! It worked dude! We were ecstatic. Thank you, thank you and thank you again. The only decent video we could find on TH-cam and ended up being perfect. You rock 🤘🏼

UPDATE: The starter was the problem, it was going out. But if any of you are having a issue when trying to start your car then have someone sit in the driver seat and turn the key while you tap on the starter with an object such as a hammer. Give it some love taps at first and see if the vehicle starts. If this method doesn't start the car then most likely the starter went out or you have another issue on your hands.

Yesterday I encountered the same issue but I couldn’t find the relay so I had to fix another relay in the bonnet which I tapped the starting current from the gear ⚙️ sensor and it’s works perfectly but what a hell of a job I did there 😂

Just make sure that it's actually your starter relay fuse and not the starter itself. At first I assumed that it was my starter relay fuse because when I took it off and replaced it with a new one, the vehicle started back up after installation but then the next time I went to start it back up after doing some shopping, the car wouldn't start at all and made no indication of starting whatsoever. So for me personally it was my starter. If you want to test to see if it's your starter then have someone tap on the starter with a hammer or heavy object while you turn the key and it should start right up. That's if that's the issue you are dealing with. Best of luck!

@@LSGproductions713 thank you for the response. I just looked and it turns out I replaced my starter 6 YEARS ago. It feels like it was only yesterday lol. I hope its not the starter too cuz I just replaced the alternator today.
What are the odds of both going simultaneously...?!
Thank you for the advice. I thought best check the easy thing first, but that starter is definitely on my mind!
      Cheers :)

@@laurasalo6160 Just what ever you do, don't jump to conclusions like I did. The starter relay fuse cost me about $40 which wasn't even a part of the issue. So let me know what your problem is exactly so that way I can help you further. But you mentioned the alternator which of course keeps the battery charged. So you either have a bad battery or it's still good but it was drained because the alternator went out which then probably makes you assume that it's either the starter or starter relay fuse. I would personally do the starter tap test first and if that doesn't work then focus on the battery and alternator before making a purchase.

      I took your advice...
Because I had power to the dash lights, interior light and radio etc, I learned it couldn't be the starter relay, but I still appreciate knowing how to get at that fuse panel. Noone else has such a video.
I ruled out everything battery- and/or alternator-related. Finally I made my way to the starter as the next likely culprit.
It was in fact the problem.
I replaced it and it's running now.
It's strange that they both gave out at the same time, and neither exhibited the usual, obvious signs of failure.
I appreciate your video and your advice. It was still very helpful.
      Thank you so much. :)
      Cheers!

So if it's a automatic transmission and that happened then it's probably related to something else. Have you checked the alternator? It's a possibility that your alternator is going out which most likely drained the battery or it could be a fuel issue.
