  • This is just to show where the starter relay is and how I replaced it. Check this before thinking of replacing your starter. Also remember to use die electric grease before replacing.

Thanks for that information because my 03 Vibe is doing the same exact thing!!!
I’ve change all fuses underneath dash and hood. Even replaced 100a because it was blown. Was about to go buy a starter but after seeing this…🎉🎉🎉😅
Once again thanks I’ll keep you posted

That's the relay to use for a kill switch. Because the druggies will steal any car they think has no alarm. And if it's a valuable car, they will defeat the alarm. Thanks for pointing it out Malcom.

If you bang on the starter while someone else holds the key in the start position and it turns over then its definitely the starter. around 280k miles the starters wear out but hey the engine and transmission cam last FOREVER! Cheers

Just got done pulling my starter and having it tested for similar indications. Starter is fine. Let's see if replacing the relay fixes it...after I reinstall the starter 😂

Also check battery terminals to make sure they are clean and tight. Mine needed to be tightened better

I’ve had a starter test good when it wasn’t. I needed a new starter and they didn’t honor the warranty because it tested good. Just fyi
