Thank you so much for your amazing video. I went to the dealership and paid the fee to have this checked out on my 2017 Ford explorer Sport model 3.5 Ecoboost engine. Now i will order the purge valve and install it myself as the dealership want almost $400.00 Canadian dollars just to install this. That's a rip off.

Thank you SO much! I have a 2016 XLT and was able to save myself time and money! $25 part and a little time and I had it fixed! Unhooking the battery did not clear the code however. I had to go back to the auto store for the scanner, plugged it in, and hit clear/delete. My gas mileage is better, and the check engine light has not come on!

So my 2013 explorer has been saying service fuel fill inlet for a couple months. It would come on saying that then go off for a couple weeks. The other day I got a check engine light had it scanned an it said po 455 emission system leak detected. I am going to try an change the purge valve & see if that works
I got the p0455 error only my Mehanic changed the fuel filler assembly. $688 bucks! 2k miles and the code is back again. In shotgun mode now. TY for this vid. I have no desire to pay about 200 bucks for a part this inexpensive. (plus have my car gone for a day!)
Do you have a video for the Explorer sport 3.5L Turbo engine? I can seem to find the canister purge valve in the V6 turbo engine in the 2014 sport model.
I changed the canister last year when my CE light went on. P1450 was the code and I got the same code this year. I checked the purge value and it is good. No air, when I blow into it. What else could I check to get this CE to go away?

thanks for video! does it have evap tank/canister ? , will try to replace valve.. damn i have several problems with this ford, it spits back gas when you try to fill it up at gas station, i guess vapor line is clogged or maybe valve or both ? another problem is damn capless door/thingy sticks and gives error on dash and possibly vacuum error.. lube spray with funnel method helps out sometimes. And on top of that now water pump..
Would this issue be caused by overfilling your tank? I overfilled my 15 FE and check engine light came on code p1450 about a week ago. Went to go start it last night and it wouldn't start. Wouldn't start this morning and just tried it again and it started.
I had the car dealership say i had i bad purge valve and they are charges close to 600 dollars to replace it pars and labor i feel like they are screwing me auto zone is selling them for less then 30 dollars
@BigNick Engine was on for 2 months due to the Canister valve issues. I did transmission fluid change and oil change with OW20 grade, and issue was gone

Quick question, if the purge valve sensor is bad can that be one of the reasons why the "check cap filler"code keeps popping up ?!
If its not the oil pressure sensor or the purge valve that is throwing the low oil pressure error, what else could be the problem?

The Ford dealership just replaced my purge valve and the check engine light is back 2 days later! Did you end up figuring yours out?

Should the check engine light go off after replacing the part? Mine did not go off, maybe I have another issue also?
You need to scan using an OBD scanner to identify all the faults causing the check engine light
