This was great! I just got a 2017 and saw testimonies of horror stories and was running a little scared, but like every vehicle I've ever owned eventually had to be repaired.... so I see it's just a vehicle, and " nothing to see here folks.... just move along, or "knowledge is power" is another... thanks for a very in depth and informative video, I go back to my car with a lighter heart
2017 Escape, I did experience purge valve issue, constantly having premature wheel bearing issues, and finally on 130k miles or so it started making weird noises from the engine 😬
Looking for some help on my wife car. 2017 Ford Escape. Never had a problem with the car has 39500 miles. 3 weeks ago, had 4 new tires installed on the car. Three or four days after that use car and notice the car sounded and felt like the tires were flat. As if car had been setting for a long time. (Flat spot) with a sound like I was on a bad road, then went away and drove great. Happen again week ago. But today driving the car had the sensation the brakes were applied. Car just started to slow down, I pulled over and checked everything out that I could. No check engine light, the parking brake was not set. But car acted as if the brakes were set. When I got back home, I could smell hot brakes. Totally in the dark with this problem. Any help would be grateful. Thanks
I bought my 1028 Escape (73,000 miles) yesterday. They deliver it this morning. If these are really the most common problems I'm likely to expect, then I think I'm fortunate. I can't find the transfer case on your website. If it goes bad, would I have to buy it from a ford dealer (actually, though I've worked on my cars myself for decades, including repairing or replacing entire power trains, 2wd and 4wd, the next time I have to replace a transfer case, I'll let a mechanic do it)? I should probably find a parts supplier to begin a relationship with sooner rather than late--and a mechanic too. Liked and subscribed
Hi I'm trading in my Kuga 1.6. Poor economy mainly thermostat housing failed leak on rocker box gasket. Had various Fords over 50 years. Local agents poor service has killed them for me. Part prices also astronomical. On the blower fault mine blows hot air out of dash. Non into footwell Fords build and reliability sadly gone.

Interesting. I never had an issue and owned my 2013 for 11 years now. I only had a hood latch problem.

Thanks for the helpful tips
With this year model of ford escape, is there any problem in the transmission?

Surprised the shift cable link isn’t on this lost
Had to replace the engine and transmission on mine … thank god it was still under warranty
Replaced just the problem coil many many times and got another 100,000 klm on the rest
For escape garbage, don't buy the garbage waste your money a lot of problem
