Yes Yes 👏🏻. Thank you for this man. Same thing happened to me when I installed my PLM catless j-pipe, that top-right bolt is hard to get but I managed to take all 4 without stripping them. PB blaster for the win. Catless is definitely louder with my Greddy RS Race single exit. I wish I live near your house. Lol. I also have egr & tgv deletes but haven’t install them. I’m still waiting for my grimmspeed ebcs, iag aos and perrin charge pipe. Then get my car to the dyno. Good work man. Hope to see more FA20DIT contents and more FA20DIT and more. 🤣🤣🤣

Rodents are normally attracted to cheaper wiring that is assembled using peanut or vegetable oils. I've seen cars in the shop that the mice nested in and only ate certain wires and harnesses. It is always the cheap harnesses or ones made with food products.

Cobb catted/resonated j pipe with a borla S type cat back actually sounds dam good, 1-2000 rpms it has a UEL sound with a lot of turbo whistle like this video. Above 3 grand it looses some rumble but stays deep. I love it. Only complaint is for the price it should have solid flanges, you get a slip flange to mount to the mid pipe and band clamps for the 2 exhausts.

This is almost exactly what I want to do to my 2020 WRX! Even stock, the induction noise is insane and one of my favorite things about the car. I agree with you about the trans though. Stock, the 1-2 shift is almost impossible to do without getting any lurch, but it's my first manual, so if you have any tips please let me know! What's your opinion on lapis blue vs world rally blue? My hot take is that lapis blue looks better and complements the car way better than WRB.

Personally I prefer wrb but I'm a little bias 😅😅😅 some basic trans/shifter upgrades help with it 🔥 brass shifter bushings, short shifter

I went from a 2008 wrx to a 2020 wrx as well and the difference with the 1 to 2 was a problem for me as well. What i found was the only way for it to really be smooth is to ride the clutch a bit. I think it might have to do with the rev hang issue with the stock tune on these cars as well. Youll get smoother with time though so best of luck!

Hey Tanner, so I’ve got a question about an issue I just had driving home from work. Didn’t know how else to message you so here it goes.
During my drive, which is only about 8.5 miles with some interstate, I had an instance where AFR pegged in the 11.something low. It was idling fine and drove just fine for most of the drive, but as I was going through town at 35-40 it started to sputter and couldn’t get any power out of it. DAM stayed at 1.0 and it didn’t trigger and CELs, but lasted maybe 2-3 miles before returning to 14.7ish while cruising.
I’m not sure if weather could have played a factor. I’m in northern MI where we had a random snow fall and wet roads. My car is a 08 WRX with a Grimmspeed CAI and EBCS, Cobb catted downpipe and a protune from when I lived down in GA less than a year ago. I’ve also always ran Shell 93 in it.
Maybe you’ve got an idea where to start, I’m not sure if it’s possible for the air filter to be clogged and cause that, but since it sits high the fender behind the liner and it’s still wet outside I haven’t taken the time to pull it out to look at it.
Thanks for any help you’re able to provide.

@@Smeedia Idk if you remember me mentioning the Camshaft Position Sensor code in one of your streams a while back. P0346 is the official CEL code. Checked grounds, grounds were good. Replaced the sensor, still present. Noticed damage on the engine wiring harness and the lock on it, replaced that, made it worse. Originally it'd pop the code somewhere around 3-5k rpm under decent to heavy load, after the harness was replaced I can't drive more than a minute without it triggering, so I stopped resetting the ecu. Plus I have a bad oil leak out of that driver side head, I'm thinking the valve cover.
I think it's the ECU, because the code is an electrical code. The exact same p0346 was also prevalent with some 13-14 sti's I found out reading through some forums a while back.
My buddy who's done the bulk of the work and is a diesel mechanic who's worked on subies for 14 years thinks it's something with the avcs causing the sensor to throw an out of range code, or something else mechanical (he also thinks the engine has been rebuilt once before because of some other things he noticed like some non oem gaskets, only 87k miles on this launch edition), recommended a full rebuild, which will address the leak, have Outfront refresh the cams, deck the heads here locally, and throw in an RA block.... Unless I buy some merch and the god of chance blesses me, lol.

    • @Smeedia
