    My whole bike (BMW R 1200 GSA) is a digital camo hydro dip. Everything except the frame, that is. Even the skid plate, shifter, brake lever, etc. is hydro dipped camo. It looks really good. I highly recommend the hydro dip process. 👍🏻👍🏻

    When doing the second half of a dip, do you just take directly onto the new film that’s been applied? After you rinse it of course? And it doesn’t hurt the film at all?

    How long do you wait before you can tape over your dip for your second dip

    Ouch. I would not be happy about the left side. Otherwise, looks great.
    What kind of prep needs to be done to the tank?

  • @skyworx524

    I found the best way to do any part that needs both sides done, I first mask up one side , dip , But Don't rinse off the slimey film left from the dip. I let the dipped side dry. once dry remove masking from other side then proceed to dip the remaining side, once dipped, rinse entire part . the trick is once the first side is dipped then dryed, It act as a masking which rinses off saving time remasking parts up numerous times.
    plus check your film in the tank not upside down , Still a flawless finish , nice job

    Love the concept…. But I’d have to agree with a couple other guys here. Right side was correct and I’d be pissed about the left.
    Otherwise, awesome looking.

      The customer was well aware that some skulls would look upside down to the pattern he chose is non-directional. Meaning that throughout the entire design there are skulls straight, turned, and even upside down for a random look. If this had been a directional film then of course it would have been laid out to where the skulls go facing up.

    Just my two cents but for very buoyant items you can add some water inside to curb flotation so long as it is sealed before dip, if dipping a tank use rubbing alcohol in the off chance the tank is not sealed to prevent corrosion and the remnants evaporate quickly. Will not pose any adverse effects on fuel. Makes for a smooth dip. Hope this helps someone

    I have a vinyl wrap... what can I do to prep the vinyl to accept a dipping? Does a clear coat count as painted? Which clear coat should I be using? This is fascinating and I'd love to learn more.

    Why did you dip the skulls upside down on one of the sides?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      This print is a random skull print meaning the skulls go all different directions, so at some part the skulls would be upside down on an area or so depending on where the dip hit.

    • @kreativ_corals

      if its been activated correctly, taping over the first dip shouldn't be a problem. Just dont use duct tape or anything similar cuz that'll prob pull the dip off

    You inspire me to hydrodip! But I keep having issues on my end. :/
    I bought carbon fiber film online and the company claim it's super easy to use, even for beginners. So I said to myself, shoot I gotta try it...
    My issue is every time I dip my object into the water/film the entire film follows it. At 6:30 your object sinks in perfectly and all the film conforms to the object and the rest of the film around it stays in place; for the most part. On my end, I dip my object and the entire film moves inwards and makes a huge mess- messing the print up. Why is this?
    Also, it's SUPER sticky once taken out and basically falls off if I rinse/rub it. I set the film for 1min in warm water and spray activator right after 1m mark and dip.
    Anyone know my issue? Hope I made some sense trying to explain. Thanks!

    • @erniefrongillo7513
      @erniefrongillo7513 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the film is following it that means you are under activating it. Need to use more activator..

      @EverythingbyMatt 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@erniefrongillo7513 Oh. Thank you. I thought I was using quite a bit of activator tbh but I'll spray even more next time I dip and see what happens

      Also depends on how close and how straight down you are spraying. Should be spraying straight down and about 8"-10" above the film.
