This is next level customizing. He has even maintained the profile of the tank on the resin pour. That would be really easy to sand flat if you didn't know what you were doing. Amazing work.
I'm not going to give a thumbs down but honestly did not like what was put inside the expoy. Just to emo for my tastes maybe if I was 14 but I doubt it. If it was a heart though.....damn that would have been badass.
The trial and error Knowledge and experience the time this took Measure 10 times and cut once... Some things are just beyond words. Can't tell if you are a wizard or if you sold your soul at the crossroads. Good job
I'm surprised someone brought back that old 60's trick of using resin casting on a motorcycle tank. I used a metal dome shaped about 3 & 1/2 inch cup my buddy brought over with a new peanut tank. He had purchased a dried scorpion from a medical supply house. I brazed the cup to the hole I cut in the tank, leaving about an 1/8th of an inch lip, ground down the weld a bit, pressure tested the tank, then using masking tape on the edge so I could over fill the resin, which I did in two parts, the first to hold the object in place and cover his (or her) legs. The next day I finished filling it. .I clear lacquer over the whole project including the airbrushed soften edge around the cup. To be honest it took way too many hours, but he was a Vietnam Veteran I served with, so for my brother it was a gift. A great personal project and a nice job.

Thanks man! No effect with vibration or fuel as long as it’s welded and sealed properly. The the weather elements will effect it if left out for extended periods of time. 🤘🤘

A "Silence of the Lambs" type of theme. Very cool. Was that a special paint or is that what happens when you spray wet paint over wet paint and dry it quick?

I've been thinking about finding ohe of these resin artist here on YT to do a more functional piece where precise placement and extreme clarity is needed for the item to function properly might actually be a challenge. Now I don't k ow about making it a full blown video but I would allow some parts that need to be cast to be shown. It's just a project that needs privacy lol. I'll look for your contact info.....
This is absolutely amazing! 2 quick questions, is that a special kind of paint that "chars" up when you heat it? And is that just a heat gun you use on it? (I'm looking to repaint my car and feel like that would be a killer way to accent color the hood)
I just spent the entire weekend putting a custom Shou Sugi Ban wood with epoxy inlay into my tank!!! I thought it turned out awesome but then you came along and ruined the whole damn thing!!! Well, I now know how I will be spending next weekend. Absolutely amazing bro!!! Send that tank to the Smithsonian. Great job Rick.
