    What happened to the "properly dipped" one @ 11:50 you put tape on, then there was a alarm for someone at the door, scene cut, then it disappeared?

    Thanks, your videos have been pretty helpful, you and ATF hydrodipping. So I'm trying to use film on a pair of shoes (white DC villain slippers, faux leather), i cleaned them with alcohol to take off the finish. I tried dipping once and the film was pretty thick and didn't stick to my shoe at all, is that most likely under-activating or something else?

    Great video as always Bryan..👍.. man I can't even count how many times I've underactivated film.. it's all part of the game, knowing your gun (or can) is huge in these cases.. I always take advantage of practice passes on masking paper to see how the gun (or can) flows/patterns and what needs to be done to correct it..
    No matter what, it's takes doing it alot to be proficient at it as you said.. keep up the good work and excellent product line..✌️

    Perfect timing on posting this vid! I Tried my first dip today with your carbon fiber and had the pin holes. I def need to use more activator. Quick question, how much does the water temp affect the dip? I've been at 90 - 93 deg (I'm in south fl and its HOT here lol)

    The problem I get is that the colors just seem more dull and not as vibrant? I was dipping your joker faces film and the darks were fade. I had like one or two small pinholes around the part. Happens to my carbon fiber as well

    • @joejones323
      @joejones323 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Too much disruption. Rattle cans are notorious for that. If it’s a gun, back the air off a bit or hold further back. Also try tightening up the barriers.

    I have been trying to dip my mini 14 stock for the past 4 days now. I have done everything you said. I prep the stock by heat treating it, I scuffed it up, I used One Hit Wonder all in one white spray paint, my water temp is 84.3 deg, I used ink drink spray can activator as directed and I still have tons of pin holes. What else can contribute to pin holes? Could it be a bad run of the film?

    Interesting, I'm also doing hydro dipping for some interieur parts of my BMW and when I touch the film right after the dipping it comes of again sometimes specially at the edges. Does that happen when I used to less activator?

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if the film is coming off after you dip the part it sounds like not enough activator was applied to the part. Try applying more activator and see if that helps!

    • @LiquidConceptsUSA
      @LiquidConceptsUSA  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here are a few things that can happen when over activated:
      * Pattern slides off or rinses off immediately after dipping or rinsing.
      * Pattern has distinct lines ( hesitation lines ).
      *Colors appear faded and not vibrant.
      Hope this helps.
