Their wish is to unite the world through music and it's always been a bit sad that so many people don't accept that invitation because of trivial reasons. They don't play instruments. They aren't Metal! They don't speak English... blah blah blah. You're right, the world does need a message of unity like never before. The world needs songs like this and bands like this to help us come together and have fun. Help us forget for just a moment how shitty things can be sometimes..
All three young ladies arent the band. They are collectively the front women. And ive seen videos of them playing instruments. Alot of people forgot what music is about and what it does. But now, just like in the 80's, there is a song, a group like Babymetal that can bring it back. This song is the modern "we are the world". And we needed it.
She changed the metal world, to dance and sing takes a lot of power and these three young woman have done a great thing, in dance, singing and in theater...
The haters don't get it. BabyMetal isn't just the three women. It's the entire concept, production, and the musicians. BabyMetal is a concept well executed.
When I saw Babymetal in Portland and Seattle last year, this was in the set with a different arrangement. It started acoustic, with only piano, and only Su on stage. She asked everyone to lift up their phones, and we all turned on their flashlights, and lit the theater up. And Su sang with just the piano. When the break in the song came Moa and the Avenger came out and the band kicked in, but it was such a touching moment. Little sad it has been dropped from the setlist in 2020

Spot on, Shadow Ryu....it is always refreshing to see a reactor really connect with a band, in this case Babymetal, when they do not expect it going in. I am 57 and would never expected to find that I could get behind a band like this...yet here I am, part of the One, just like you now. Great reaction and you are right about the song for the time.....spot on.

"when the last time you heard the band writing and making a song speciality for their fans as a thank you" In the Japanese and Korean music world, it happens all the time... There is a Korean Girl Group who puts out a thank you song every year, they have had 7 or 8 of them... I'm not trying to minimize what BABYMETAL did, it's great that they also did it and Su-chan singing is so powerful that it takes it to another level. Kitsune up, Po!
In an interview I read Moa said she didn't look down because she was afraid her tears would hit someone in the audience. Su and Moa speak pretty good English now. Remember for most of their Babymetal career they were the most famous Japanese high school students in the world!!
Thank you for your sincerity and your humanity. I listen to hardcore, punk, indie, industrial, metal, rock, tribal, ethnic music. I discovered Baby Metal last year. I bought all their records, I learned all their history, saw all the videos. I went to their fabulous concert in Paris (I am French) and I saw that I was in an incredible and generous community where we are all linked by Baby Metal. And this song, The One, talks about us. A song, unfortunately, does not change the world but it enchants it, makes it more beautiful, binds us to each other. It's even stronger today. thanks dude and sorry for my bad english!
Su said she worked really hard to sing parts of this in English to pay tribute to all her English speaking fans, and fans in General She is the Queen 🦊🦊 Can you imagine how the girls were really scared to ride in a triangle 50 feet in the air above the fans ? They did it for the fans 😍
Well it looks scary for sure but later Moa confessed that the biggest problem in the performance was to try and stay serious for it. It was so exciting, floating above the audience that the girls just wanted to wave at everyone!
@@michaelafrancis1361 It's so funny because while Moa is trying to keep her serious expression, Yui seems to have dropped it pretty early and just said "Oh, forget it! This is too cool, I'm just going ahead and smiling!" Moa, of course, has to eventually be true to her own smiling nature as well. :D The effort that Su put into singing it in English always shows. Considering things like that, it's no wonder she ascended to being Goddess at age 20.
powerful song like no other band did, thinking on their fans and giving us this song to us, thanks for sharing Babymetal love, be blessed by the Fox God
Great reaction! My dream was that we would hear and see this song at the Olympics, but now it looks there won’t be any Olympics at all. It would have been a perfect fit for us, Japan and the world.
I remember being in tears for several minutes, when I saw the original video for the first time - I shared that one as well, and the message is just as valid now, so I will definitely be sharing your video! Best wishes
The first time I heard this song my very first thought was, This IS the song Bill and Ted were supposed to write that unites the world. I'm with ya man. One of the best songs ever written in my opinion.
I’m glad you liked it I was there with my gf at the time she’s my wife now. I moved to japan in 2013 but it is a song the world should hear. Hail to the Metal Queen Su-Metal Our Goddess
Been a big fan of Babymetal 5 years now .. always love to see reactions .. as a musician and a man who seriously LOVES MUSIC and the meaning and messages that come with it .. it was a blessing to see your reaction .. when I first got into them many of their songs brought tears to my eyes .. just because I love music .. seeing these young people carrying on incredible music just blessed my soul .. the message in this song indeed should be shared I am going to put the link to your reaction in a Tweet and hashtag it #TheOne .. God Bless Bro tc.
I feel you bro.. well said.. BM has literally changed the landscape of music. If we all listened ro the lyrics of not just this song but many others the world could learn something.. Part of the reason i love BM so much...
March 2020, wow, what a surreal time to be alive. Crazy how every video released at this time mentions this one thing, one thing that affected us all, one thing that united the entire world in disaster and tragedy and hardship. The One reminds us we have to rely on one another and be there for each other.
The girls refer to their fans as “The One”. We are all individual parts of the ONE. They love us and we love them! Such a touching song to show their love and appreciation for “The One” Long live BabyMetal!
MAN! I feel exactly like you... Love your videos, Your reactions are full of emotion. Seems you are very connected with your emotions, and that is way man! BM is impressive ... love them. And you are right, this song is THE SONG for this moment. I am From Argentina (South America) an TODAY we are beginning an Isolation plan, in our houses. I can´t , because I work on a Food company and people needs to eat. This is my part on all of this... I hope that one Day all the world really understand the real meaning of "TOGETHER WE ARE THE ONLY ONE", like Japanese people. I were there on September, and is incredible the Social conscience that they have about the common well-being is over the individual well-being. I think this is the end and the beginning of an era, I hope that in this new Era , the word Together would be GREATER than "Me" o "myself". I salute you bro and sorry for my poor English. Together we are better!
You need some Doki Doki Morning to bring you up to get balanced. It's the optimistic positive vibe this band gives off that will help us thru. If nothing else works, the rap breakdown in Iine is sure to bring a smile. If you can imagine it, you're smiling right now.
⚡ 💀 💕 / ▲ This is a combination of footage from both nights at Yokohama Arena in December 2015, the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour. They premiered the song on the first night, and flew out over the crowd the next night. From what she said after the performance, the hardest part for Moa wasn't the height, it was to stick to the choreography when she wanted to wave to the people in the crowd below. : ) The video has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version. Every other live version of this I've seen is entirely in English, even when it's performed in Japan. Recently they have been starting off with the softer "Unfinished version" before going into the full on heavy version. Many of the recent concerts have ended with 'Arkadia': "Now for your dream, for your faith, for your life The map to the future which began to move is within you Now no more tears, no more pain, no more cry Far in the distance towards that light out there What it aims for is the Arkadia of dreams" or with 'Road of Resistance': "Our hearts are one. If you believe in your way, go on even the way without a path! Forever! [Forever!] Forever! [Forever!]"
The One video is the one which helps me to get better at any situation. When I feel sad or just tired it helps. Even having a million of views - this is so underrated. That definitely should be the main song of Tokyo Olympics Closing Ceremony.
A long time ago i saw the three musketeers and they said "One for all, all for one". It realy touched me and gave my live a meaningful direction. This part got lost in time, but after i heared this song the first time i burst out in tears cause the thing that was forgotten came to live again with such a force, it came to stay and changed my life again. I wana say it made me to a better version of myself. So yes, everybody should hear it but they also had to feel it and thats the real problem. For me BM is my litle oasis of peace and happiness and they give me the energy to help other people and deal with hate without getting comsumed myself with negativ feelings. I can't thank Team Babymetal enough cause they realy improved my life and I'm not alone with this feeling. BM brought people together from so many different backgrounds, people who wouldn't talk to each other without them. People have to come together or we will wipe ourself from this planet....thats what i think is the reason for the end of the world.
I remember the old power ballad "all for one" that was done for that movie, The Three Musketeers. The one that had Keifer Sutherland in it. Music has changed my life in so many ways. If ever there was a band in this time that understands that power and has bridged so many gaps musically and personally, it's BM. 🤘
I listened to this song several times before I finally realized that Yui and Moa are singing that phrase in the background, and loved the song even more (which I didn't think was possible). :D
It's all good man you got me tearing up. This is my purpose in life, to live so I can experience art and musical excellence such as this that could literally change the world.
@@ShadowRyu I'm trying to feel your emotion, all serious and shit, and in those moments of silence and seriousness.... clickety clack in the background. I lost it! I cracked up laughing.
@@AldoGuerraALDO-METAL someone on twitter told me the same thing last night, so i watched it and was like "that dryer gonna kill the whole vibe" not gonna lie i laughed too
This song is absolutely one of my favorite songs of theirs. Even when I first heard it, I knew it was special. If you like bands that have positive messages and stuff like that. You should Really check out GFM (Gold, Frankincense, and Myrhh). And their whole message is Taking pain and turning it into hope. Really awesome band. They are not known at all and they haven’t been around a long time. They are really talented. Recommend their song ‘Graveyard of Identities’
Man, totally randomly hit up your vid and it hit me hard. Six month down the line and Corona still here and the Country burning it self down. I appreciate your genuine reaction as a BabyMetal Fan and wish we could all be part of The One, so we can all just get along. Peace 🤘🦊🤘
4/17, from Japan. I'm glad that you empathize with babymetal. Originally, I think it was a song that considered the Olympics, but now it may be a song that beats the coronavirus? Japan is tough now, but let's overcome it in the world! (^ _-)-☆
I absolutely loved your reaction.... How much money did you print.. while video was playing? LOL... great reaction video...facial expression said it all!!!!
Great reaction, it was just like looking in a mirror, seeing you was seeing me word by word you said everything I said it was so so spooky but so so true . I didn’t know I become part of The One 9 years ago welcome to the Fox hole 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊
There's so much positive feeling going on as a result of this reaction. Like real-world stuff about joining together and making things better for all and all that stuff. About how much Babymetal bring to us all, and how we all should learn from this. And how people and nations can join in a common goal and become The One. So can I put a spanner into the mix of reality? Maybe point out that this is a naive, simplistic point of view that can't ever be realised. That there is too much social inertia to ever realise this. That, although we all want it, we are seldom willing to make the right compromises to allow it to happen? I can't deny the goal. I fully hope that it *can* happen. But I'm on the 'l' side of sceptical. I'm pointing this out specifically to lend weight to the argument for unity. What have *you* done today to bring about this joining together a new, peaceful, friendly society? Because on paper, that could happen. But so far, on paper is where it's stayed. So go out there (as soon as your local guidelines allow you to) and make a difference in this direction.
This and 'Road of Road of Resistance' are the unintentional SWAN SONG of the first era of Babymetal. They are now in the second generation (referred to as a new era) of BabyMetal since Yui Mizuno retired for health reasons. Most think the World Tours and fast-pace was getting to her (also my opinion but no formal announcement as to the reason or aliment was made, except for her to say she wanted to pursue other things). Only the Fox God knows .. 🦊🦊🦊 The answer given many times by them to certain questions by the foreign press as it is easier, and more acceptable then trying to explain their Shinto beliefs to people who may not understand them and look at them crazy .Evidence of this is seen in some of their earlier interviews. To me Yui-chan looked tired in some of the interviews they did during their world tour. Some of the original die-hard BabyMetal fans were devastated that Yui-chan was absent and eventually named as an ex-member with no explanation except for health reasons, and it was hard for them to accept the changes with the announcement of the 'Chosen 7' and a rotating 3rd member. Also along with Suzuka Nakamoto these three still at a relatively young age had been together for many years going back to Sakura Gakuin ( owned by Amuse Entertainment)-a sort of a Idol training with sub-units, doing things like, cooking, music, acting etc. ) which they all graduated from. There are a lot of of these classes, dance and singing recitals, cooking classes they did and other projects on You tube if anyone is interested in exploring them. Sakura Gakuin uses a Limited growth period unit, meaning when a girl reaches a certain age (when she graduates from Junior High school), she has to leave the group. Every year new girls join the group. A sub-unit of the school- the metal music club formed by Suzuka with Yui and Moa as members and with various connections through Key Kobayashi (Kobametal) a Japanese music producer under the same talent agency Amuse Inc who had seen of Suzuka when she was with Karen Girls. He wanted to a form a J-Pop / metal group and BabyMetal was born. it was was decided not to disband ( thank you !) BabyMetal after Suzuka-chan graduated Junior High school in 2013 and therefore had to graduate Sakura Gakuin as well. BabyMetal remained intact with Toy's factory under a sub-label BMD Fox Records. After Yui-chan's departure, and the announcement of a rotation for the 3rd member with an alternate-group called "The Avengers" who Riho Sayashi was a part of (from Morning Musume-and seen now as the accepted permanent member) and also a friend of Suzuka-chan, both from Hiroshima and together attended the 'Hiroshima School of Actors'.The New Era was born with the Metal Galaxy album. Moa Kikuchi said of this: [quote] "We've incorporated different types of music into this album and we hope that fans are able to feel our determination to a new departure. Also, although people from all over live in different environments, I hope that with this album, we can bring more people together as one" . [ end quote ]..'PA PA YA' as well as 'Shanti Shanti Shanti' are songs she was referring to with continuance of their mission 'The One' in the new era...🦊🦊🦊 They are not like any other group of this kind with a deep spiritual connection (Kitsune ) to their music. The color red for Kitsune and good fortune from him are often represented in red themes in Baby metal concerts and Music Videos. Torrii are also seen in their MV's and are gates for the Gods to enter the temples in Shinto religion. The Japanese festival of Hatsuuma is the feast day of the Kami (deity) Inari Ōkami the Fox God (Kitsune) who the members of BabyMetal believe they receive their divine guidance and power from to perform. The girls have actually stated that they do not remember all that has happened on stage during these spirit guided performances. The hand fox sign they use, has been used by those on Kitsune floats in festivals and Noh plays ( Traditional Japanese theater) for centuries. Megitsune is actually the name of a Shinto temple and is represented with the stage in the MV that looks exactly like the inside of the temple. Road of Resistance and The One unintentionally (fate?) became BabyMetal's swan song to the end of an era. They say in Shintoism that Inari Ōkami is a mysterious God. Inari is not mentioned by name in the Kojiki - an ancient chronicle of Japanese mythology which is the closest thing Shinto has to a sacred text. They lost guitarist Mikio Fujioka (Kami Band) to an accidental fall off an observation Tower around the same time as Yui-chan was absent from the group. It was time for a change and the beginning of a new era. I miss Yui-chan and no one will ever replace her. BabyMetal is no better or worse now because of the change. Just different.
Hi Michael, stay safe and keep up the great content. got a left field one for you here: could you react to ‘Kai Tangata’ by my fellow New Zealanders, Alien Weaponry. Hard as, bro. And the mv is something else. Thanks

I hope you do not mind me commenting again. During this present time as you talk about in your emotional reaction and this Song. I thought this might be appropriate and kind of gives us a glimpse of Suzuka's past and the influences that along with the rest of the BabyMetal members shaped the message we see of becoming ONE. This is an excerpt from her Student dairy. ( To me it is like reading Prophecy from Suzaka from the past to the future). 🌸Diary 2011🌸 SG students' diary 20110806 Suzuka Translated SG students' diary 20110806 Suzuka Title: The day when we all think Today is the 66th anniversary of the atomic bombing. Every year in Hiroshima we go to school, learn about war and think about peace. This is how it's been for me ever since I was little, that's why I always thought, that the 6th of August is the day, when all people around the world think about peace. Last year, for the first time I was spending that day in Tokyo and I was told "Eh? What was today!?", I was surprised that for everyone it was just a common day. I wondered: "If you wouldn't have been born in Hiroshima, you'd never think about it?" and then I thought: "It's good that Su was born in Hiroshima". Thus, wherever I am, I don't want it to change. Suzuka

The Fox God knows that you have a big heart. Your love brings me hope.
The girls refer to their fans as “The One”. We are all individual parts of the ONE. They love
us and we love them!
And onedaridaisakusen !!!!!
Correct, Doki Doki Morning (MV - not live) their 1st video that got them started:)
Nah i think ryu not ready yet for doki2 and onedaeri. GJ and sis anger more like his cup of tea

This is a combination of footage from both nights at Yokohama Arena in December 2015, the final dates of the 2015 BABYMETAL World Tour.
They premiered the song on the first night, and flew out over the crowd the next night.
From what she said after the performance, the hardest part for Moa wasn't the height, it was to stick to the choreography when she wanted to wave to the people in the crowd below. : )
The video has the audio from the domestic (Japanese) release of the Metal Resistance album. The international release of the album has an entirely English version.
Every other live version of this I've seen is entirely in English, even when it's performed in Japan.
Recently they have been starting off with the softer "Unfinished version" before going into the full on heavy version.
Many of the recent concerts have ended with 'Arkadia':
"Now for your dream, for your faith, for your life
The map to the future which began to move is within you
Now no more tears, no more pain, no more cry
Far in the distance towards that light out there
What it aims for is the Arkadia of dreams"
or with 'Road of Resistance':
"Our hearts are one.
If you believe in your way,
go on even the way without a path!
Forever! [Forever!] Forever! [Forever!]"
The One video is the one which helps me to get better at any situation. When I feel sad or just tired it helps. Even having a million of views - this is so underrated. That definitely should be the main song of Tokyo Olympics Closing Ceremony.
Subscribed.. when you said this was the song that you needed to hear it hit me in the feels man.. great reaction.
I mean it in the best possible way but it was really funny watching you melt down. :)
The girls sound amazing on this one, don't they?
🦊🦊🦊
Great reaction... at least, you have warm fuzzy towels to comfort you as well! Kitsune up, Po!
"No rain no raimbow" is another very emotional song!
Yeah babymetal love frome phillipines
Favorite BM song hands down
Dude, I get it, I can't listen to this song without tearing up.
We are THE ONE! ;)
It's all good man you got me tearing up. This is my purpose in life, to live so I can experience art and musical excellence such as this that could literally change the world.
This song instantly becomes my favourite song. Its song is so beautiful even if the world is not.
Love the sound of the clothes dryer going throughout this vid.
Dude. You're killing me with the Dryer going on in the background. 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 my dryer down the hall too 🤣🤣 my walls are thin af. Was hoping it wasnt that loud.
You are the one! Thanks from Japan.
Amen brother 🤘🦊🤘
We are The One! Together ;-)
あなたが素晴らしい感性の持ち主とゆうことがよくわかるリアクションでした。魂を鷲掴みにされて宇宙に放たれたような感じになる
This song make me wanna cry too : (
I have long recognized the " Sacred Feminine" They give birth to us!
Man, totally randomly hit up your vid and it hit me hard. Six month down the line and Corona still here and the Country burning it self down. I appreciate your genuine reaction as a BabyMetal Fan and wish we could all be part of The One, so we can all just get along. Peace 🤘🦊🤘
I feel u bruh...
I fully agree and will do my best to share it with as many people I know
Thank you for sharing it :)
Perfectly right!
4/17, from Japan. I'm glad that you empathize with babymetal. Originally, I think it was a song that considered the Olympics, but now it may be a song that beats the coronavirus? Japan is tough now, but let's overcome it in the world! (^ _-)-☆
I feel you bro.
Maybe You've finally found Su-metal is perfectly different.
See you in Mosh'sh pit !!!!
Yup...
Chills...
Every time.
🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥
あなたの琴線に触れたんですね。。。
伝わりました。
we are the one together with you
I absolutely loved your reaction....
Bro I'm right there with you. This song is what the world needs but esp today in the US.
i miss YUI a lot...
No matter what, she'll always be part of The One. :)

I saw it. The message at the end before it fades away.
Stay safe guys
Just different.
i am the one... you are the one... we are THE ONE>>>
Amen, brother.
Virus will finally be gone. Keep yourself safe.
Left me in tears too dude. Love them.
Thanks for the tears of joy, I feel you!!
Hi Michael, stay safe and keep up the great content. got a left field one for you here: could you react to ‘Kai Tangata’ by my fellow New Zealanders, Alien Weaponry. Hard as, bro. And the mv is something else. Thanks
I got it on the list. Look for it in the next day or two, tops. Cheers, mate 🍺
Shadow Ryu great, look forward to it. No rush, and sorry: it won’t get you as many views or likes as BM 😀 but I think it will be worth it.
And I mean it: take care of yourself and your family, and if you need more toilet paper, I’ll send you an 18-pack of NZ’s finest!
Maori brothers burning. Great band. Aloha from Hawaii to our fellow islanders.

Title: The day when we all think
Today is the 66th anniversary of the atomic bombing.
Suzuka
Bien bien. Cool Réaction.
Although this song was written four years ago, it seems to me that it was written for right now.
There are several versions of The One, many are entirely in English.
言葉わからないけど
