I remember when Sinestro Corp was first hinted at ALL hell broke loose with DC fans. The hype was real and when the story arc dropped it was nothing short of epic. I still think this is DCs greatest GL story arc to date. It's that damn good.

Arisia was a regular in Guy Gardeners comic back in those days and she had healed from some injuries super-humanly in the months before she died. She had a broken back as i recall my old comics are in storage at the moment. So it might just be the author picking up the plot points left behind by old stories.

I loved the creation of the other corps and even when it was just Sinestro corps it was an intense addition. when we saw Star Sapphire was actually about corps was even more mind boggling, to me at least, but by no means something I opposed. introducing the rest was just icing on the cake by that point

He's INSANELY Powerful due to the Starheart, arguably equal to or more powerful than Parallax or Ion. He's slated to make a appearance with the return of the JSA.

Why do people say Alan Scott is not a Green Lantern.
He is THE Green Lantern. The first Green Lantern. He's not a Corps member but without Alan being created there would be no Lantern Corps.
Alan has always been portrayed as powerful, The Startheart is all the Chaos Magic from the beginning of time of a universe. He's been shown to defeat 5th Dimensional Imps, control power beings like Dr. Fate shape and control space time and reality.
Even the New 52 Alan Scott (who is a DIFFERENT Alan Scott) was easily the most powerful hero from that version of Earth 2.
Ann Lee cause he simply is NOT a green lantern, kinda like how ravager isn't a ravager...but anyway, I just remembered him being powerful in JSA but still a guy who was weak to wood, so i kinda wrote him off. sorta likr aquaman, that's why I had asked "when he got so powerful" to which you could maybe say "dude read this!" and then i would.
He IS a Green Lantern. lol it's his NAME. Like I said, he's not a Corps member but he is a Green Lantern.
He's not weak to wood anymore. If he's weak to wood then Hal Jordon and the Corp is still week to the color yellow.

A couple of things Rob:
(A) the Phalanx really kicked off in 1994, a full decade before this.
(B) This story feels way more like the idea behind the Prime Sentinels in Operation: Zero Tolerance, which again being in 1997 was *before* this.

Oh, forum posts. The Golden age of the internet. Before "social media." Although in 2005 I was 8 and wasn't reading any comics. And I didn't like DC that much. I thought the characters were lame besides Batman. More or less. I just had a lot more exposure to Marvel.
But thanks to Disney I've been doing a lot of DC catch up. Take that as you will.

after watching this video, your superboy prime video was on ybe side bar. Rob, man, not the best thing coming out of dc at the moment. you sound unenthusiastic, and I wish you would redo this because superboy prime js mega level in power. he could cut swathes through so many superheros, it would be interesting to see him against pre new 52 superman.

doctor leak Pre-new 52 he was considered to have the strongest willpower of the corps, he managed to beat Sinestro who was considered the best GL at the time and he one of the few who conquered fear, that made him a target for Parallax, because fear itself was greedy to make the most brave soldier feel absolute fear, Hal Jordan was imune to the fear infection and only manifested gray hair, he only lost it with the destruction of Coast City.After his rebirth, Hal saved New York against Sinestro's attack and saved the world against Nekron's undead by fusing with Life, after that he saved the GL from Krona's control and he used Nekron to kill Volthoom, saving the emotional spectrum.
