That whole argument of "If he escapes, he'll go right back to doing what he was doing" basically extends to all villains who aren't killed, especially batman villains. I can kind of see both sides of the argument. If we use Injustice as an example of the extreme, and say the Green Lanterns as they were before they could kill as the other, we have to ask the question "Ok, when is it alright to kill someone who has full intention to kill innocent people?" Do you never kill them like the green lanterns tried to do? or do you kill them when they are even just suspected of doing something wrong, because it can be a slippery slope.
Question about the "lost lanterns". If they were presumed dead then woulden't their rings have found replacements for them? But since they never actually died then the Guardians and other Lanterns should have realized that and then would know they were not dead? Seems like a big plot hole IMO

Because an individual does not move toward wanting to end their life because of anger, nor courage, nor fear, nor love, nor death, nor life, nor hope. Only sorrow draws the soul into a dark unmoving place of despair, which, if it goes deep enough, can cause any being which experiences it to want an end to their unbearable agony.

But imagine your and officer a person commits terrible crimes and turns himself in. You cant just shoot him nor does thay change what he did. Let him rot.

They aren't executioners, a lot of the villains are supposed to have life sentences but they break out one way or another but they still have to be put back because they still have some rights albeit a small amount. Basically the heroes leave the villains trial to the justice system instead of being judge and executioner. Some villains don't even deserve death because some are honorable and some just commit petty crimes but villains like the Joker most definitely deserves death. He has committed too many crimes and the ones he commit aren't just petty crimes.
have you considered doing vids on characters who were mainly featured in animated series such as the super friends El Dorado who was wildly powerful originally but was downgraded in young justice, or perhaps the little known ultraforce that marvel bought recently. they have versions of superman, ironman, a male wonderwoman and deadman basically. dope team tho. Prime had a lot of possibilities and gained spidermans abilities at one point and also was basically venom mixed with superman

Their rings were stolen when they were left for dead by Parallax, and destroyed when Hal Jordan sacrificed himself to reignite the sun.
