Those little lights are approximately called cornering lamps. These lamps were popular mostly on luxury and near luxury cars from the 1970"s to the early 2000"s.

We test drive the GX here in Jax, FL. We drove over one of the many bridges and the wind caught the center of the hood in such a way that we thought it wasn’t latched all the way. Pulled over, checked it and it was latched. The wind caught the thin portion of the hood and it vibrated a lot! Did you notice anything like that? Tampa has bridges too. And maybe drive it over the Skyway bridge, that would be a good test. Let me know. Thanks!

I bought the GX 550 Luxury+ in June. Parked it for 45 days since I just did not think I wanted to keep it. Traded it in August. With 19 miles. It’s heavy and the drive is like a floating boat. Slight left and right turns feel like you are rocking. Mirrors are terrible and hard to see out of. As for Luxury it was lacking significantly. Zero space in the back and the materials inside are cheap and not Luxury. As a die hard Lexus buyer I had to get out. For me I wanted Luxury and a good ride and I should had done more real due diligence. I watched tons of reviews but very few reviews show the reality of the actual drive. Not telling anyone to not buy it. I am telling you to DRIVE the vehicle and don’t rely on videos online. It might be perfect for you but for me in is a work in progress that needs improvements and I am sure Lexus will tweak the Luxury + by 2026 and get back on track. As for the 22 inch wheels maybe that contributed to more problems. It’s possible the other trims are better. If you want one I would drive EXACTLY the trim you want BEFORE you buy it. Might be the perfect for you.

I was shopping this vehicle and waited for it for some time to come out and found that the Tundra can be optioned with an opening panoramic sunroof, a v6 with larger twin turbos, nicer leather seats (1794 limited edition) and heated and cooled rear seats and finally the back window rolls down, why not do that in the GX? Why not bring the best of the other vehicles into the GX? And really sad the Overtrail plus at basically $80k doesn’t have back seat air control. They really screwed up. I agree with you regarding in person the feel is better than what the video presents but still, it’s $80k+ it should be nicer. As well. You can get the amenities I mentioned in other brands cars which are much less in price … Toyota/lexus in my opinion are cutting costs at the expense of its customer base. I love the exterior, but can’t pull the trigger on it right now, hopefully they’ll add some of those things I mentioned and a splash of color inside… it’s so damn bland it’s a turnoff. And frankly, a small percentage of buyers will ever take it off-road … I am a Toyota loyalist but I won’t buy that the blandness and lack of amenities is what buyers who off-road want, that’s a small group of people and most of them will buy this vehicle on the secondary market used….sorry for the rant I’m really disappointed,, I expected a better experience in the GX and wanna love it… just can’t right now.

@@volvoxc9086 it's much better looking for sure and people like me have been waiting patiently, my sister has the previous generation GX which she loves. The excitement will wear off I think as the heavy marketing reduces after the launch, we all love the reliability and resale, that's why I buy Toyota products, that won't change. Everyone has their own opinion, I saw it in person, looked at other vehicles in its price range, it absolutely does not stack up, and you can get more amenities in a kia which is $30k less. Seeing your handle, the Volvo xc90 is beautiful inside, real wood, leather, color, seat options. It may not go off road but most people will not take the GX there. As well, Jeep Grand Cherokee comes with a lot more amenities. I'm actually looking at the xc90 now, and bmwx5 also Audi q7 and q8, not off-roaders, but I'd only have gone on the beach by my house with it anyway, and, I would only lease any of those other vehicles for obvious reasons. Please Look into the Toyota tundra and compare the upper trims yourself to the GX, they come in at approximately $10k or so less and you'll see what I mean, it's not acceptable to have a pickup truck by the non-luxury brand of the company packed with more luxury than its upper end luxury brand. They should do a little more for their loyal customers that's all I'm saying.
