I have used a multitude of apc and degreasers and nothing is better than McKees Rejuvenator for Weather Tech floor mats. Great video Pan and welcome back to Canada!
Thanks Neil! It was a shock going from 28C back to freezing temperatures! Haha
I use Dawn Powerwash Dish Spray, an old tooth brush for the finer details and a soft wheel brush to scrub. Rinse and wipe dry with microfiber towels and use 303 Aerospace Protectant.
👍my wife’s car mats are hammered with road salt. Cannot wait till warmer weather
👍🏻
I use an almost identical process to this in my shop. I have yet to try the Mckee's, but use a P&S APC diluted 10:1 and when needed P&S Brake Buster as it tends to pull the really baked in dirt stains (just don't leave it on too too long as it can in some cases fade the mat). I use 303 Protectant for the finishing touch as well. Great video Pan. Your content is very informative and full of gems that can really save new and experienced detailers time and money. Keep it up and I look forward to the next one!
Thanks for the positive feedback once again. Always appreciated!
I use 303 on floor mats. And like you said. It’s not slick. Looks great and safe to use. Great video Pan. Cheers!
Thanks 👍
Cleaning floor mats, not rocket science, yet somehow I always pick up a tip or two from your amazing demo's.. thanks Pan!
Hehe that’s great to hear. We always learn new things in life and also techniques and tricks can evolve over the years. 👍🏻
C'est le vrai test, 4 mois d'hiver montréalais. S'il a réussi ce test, vous êtes gagnant :) Merci comme toujours Pan !!👍👍
Merci Matt!
Been using Weathertech floor mats for over ten years now and when I bought the first sets I also bought some of their protectant for the mats. I was never that impressed with the protectant until just last weekend when I was cleaning the mats in my wife's car. We live in Florida now and after I cleaned the mats, by time I got the last mat clean the first mat had dried in the sun. Not thinking that much about it, I went ahead and spray the protectant on the first mat and before I could get the towel to wipe it off to "even it out", it dried on the mat perfectly. Evidently, I had been using the protectant wrong for over ten years. My mats turned out exactly how yours look and for about half the effort!
I also have the WeatherTech products and they also work well but are more expensive. My viewers prefer a bit better value for money. 45$ CAD on Amazon or local stores is steep when most people likely already have an APC at home, and perhaps a protectant like 303.
@@PanTheOrganizer When I bought them, they weren't that expensive. i bought them at the factory store (we lived very close at the time) and were very economical at the time. I have no idea what the cost is today (everything is expensive today)!
I just detailed my car's interior yesterday and cleaned the rubber floor mats using your cleaning methods Pan! Great work👏🏻
Great to hear!
@@PanTheOrganizer 👍🏻❤️
Concise, simple, straight to the point! Thanks
Thanks!
Adam’s Polishes has really good rubber mat cleaner too. I usually start with agitating that into the mats then let dwell for a minute, then deep clean with a McCulloch steamer. The steam really helps with tree sap or anything sticky like that.
Good way of doing it to! Thanks for watching.
I used all of the products shown in the video and I’m here to say that I got the same results as Pan. C’est magnifique ! Merci mon ami!
Thanks for sharing!!
My mats are always dangerously slippery! As always, thanks for the tips...I obviously needed this one.
You bet!
i use green star 10:1 with a brush & pressure washer. Thank you for sharing though Pan! I love when I see new products here!
You are so welcome!
Ty for pointing out the dangers of silicone as well as grease. I read ingredient lists now bec if your training, Pan.
Awesome. Safety first! ;)
This certainly give me a special appreciation on how to do mats right! Thanks Pan!
You are so welcome!
I like what you're doing, I was just thinking about a professional cleaning of the car presses the other day. I'm from Romania, I've been following you for a long time and I've learned a lot from you.

Hi Pan, I appreciate the reply. I discovered your channel by accident, liked it and have been following you ever since.
Greetings from Romania!
Cool. Cheers from Canada!
Hi Pan, Do they make a black plastic restorer product for interior plastics to cover up scratches? I only see exterior products. Thank you.
Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do for scratched plastics. Once the material is gone, it's not like you can polish it to remove scratches. The best you could do is apply an interior dressing to perhaps mask the appearance of the scratches a bit...
Salut! Just moved to Montreal area last month. Love your videos and channel, very helpful!

@@PanTheOrganizer Congratulations on the success of your channel, I am not surprised based on how helpful your content is. I discovered your channel by searching how to do a waterless wash using Sans-zo! I ended up buying it and it is a great product for maintenance in the garage during winter.
Thanks for the feedback. Keep in mind the waterless wash products (like Sans-Zo) are only a last alternative type solution. Those aren't the safest to actually clean paintwork. The best method is always the traditional two bucket wash method with water and buckets and mitts. The second best alternative is a rinseless wash. The last method is waterless, if you really don't have access to any water. ;)
amazing how properly cleaning floor mats make the interior feel much much cleaner!
I totally agree!
Very well finished .
Thanks Bryan!
Excellent mon cher !!! Strange coincidence just yesterday, I was thinking of giving a good bath to my TuxMats ! Thanks
Perfect!
Always learning new tricks. Thanks bru.
You bet!
I have the same Weather Tech floor liners in my Honda Fit and I cleaned mine on a budget. Did them in the bathtub and rinsed them with the shower massage. For soap I used body wash. Used a scrub brush. Dried them with the hair dryer. Please don't report me, but I used silicone spray. So far I haven't slid out of the seat and under the dash. LOL
LOL
Gone are the good old days of Armor All 😂. Another great video Mr. Pan!
Haha for sure! Thanks man!
Another winner. I was doing this the other day and was wondering why I had not seen a video from you on this. Perfect timing. Any suggestions for black plastic or rubber trip around the car that is starting to fade?
Nice job pan they look great thanks again 😊
Thanks again!
Oh man the Porsche looked dirty! Hope that means a great full wash vid is coming. Great vid as always Pan
You are on the right train of thought. ;) Stay tuned!
thanks Pan just did my mats two days ago, I have the same weather tech mats and I used the McKees product as well which does a great job. Next time I will have to add the 303 to the mix so thanks for that tip.
Good to know!
Thank you for providing the links also, none of the stores have these in stock for the areas I'm in.
Thanks Jennifer!
Hey Pan! Great video and appreciate the update with newer products. I saw your older video on mata so nice to get updates. I have all that on hand and time to clean mine!
Awesome! Thank you!
I hate winter
Me too!! Big time! Haha
I second that!
I 3rd that
I think all car guys in Canada hate winter.
@@NNTorious Not only in Canada , here in The Netherlands they also hate it
I love 303. Thanks for the tip on mats!
You are so welcome!
I use 303 on my convertible top, vinyl seats, mats, dash, rubber seals on trunk and doors and i soak wiper blades and fan belts in the 303 solution for 2 days prior to installation. 303 is the bomb.
Yeah I agree, it's pretty versatile!
Quick to the point 👉🏼 love it..
Thanks Dan!
I am an interior auto detailer doing mainly semi trucks and I appreciate your content! Any tips for semi interior?
I’ve been needing this so much. My mats never come out great 😢.
👍🏻
Great video Pan! I've always wondered which product to use to make the mats shine without having them slippery. Just a recommendation, I would upgrade to TuxMat mats if available for your clean looking Porsche. You'll have better coverage with a better "elegant" finish.👍
Thanks Eric! Do you have TuxMats yourself?
@@PanTheOrganizer Yes I do in my '21 Crosstrek Outdoor. Very useful for my hunting and fishing trips to contain all that mud and dirt! Very easy to clean and I absolutely love them.
Good to know!
Another awesome episode good friend
Thanks again!
Pan you da man, got any advice on sand in the carpets ?
Yes, it's actually simple.
1) Start by vacuuming the area first, to remove most of the loose dirt and debris.
2) Use a cordless drill and this brush attachment: amzn.to/3K1mFtt
That will lift the sand from the fibers and bring it up top.
3) Vacuum the area again. Bingo, done.
That works for the carpets and some seats. For more gentle fabrics, don't use the drill brush attachment. Use a manual brush like this: amzn.to/3xkNdy4 (things like the carpeted or felt back portions of the seats, or trunk floor liners made of thinner material).
Vacuum, agitate, vacuum.
For my weather tech mats I use dawn power wash, drill and brush attachment and to dress it i use 303 protestant. After dressing it i wait a few minutes, give it one pass with a microfiber towel and they come out looking new and not slippery what so ever. Plus for far cheaper
Maybe a video of budget everything you need to have a successful detailing business in a mobile matter I’ve been trying to make this a way for me to make money on the side but do it the right way but most importantly how to do those things in a exquisite manner please pan!!
I use McKee’s. It’s definitely the best I’ve tried.
Thanks for sharing your personal experience Billy!
lol I needed this for my previous car. Could never make the weather tech Matts clean. Didn’t even opt for them for my current car. Now I may rethink.
Regular maintenance is key with rubber mats. They should be cleaned at least once a month.
Interesting suggestion. I've used 303 many times on WeatherTech floor mats, plastic inserts on running boards, etc. It always left the surfaces slippery. I stopped using it for this reason and now only clean those surfaces. I'll rejuvenate when/if needed with Solution Finish.
Hmmm. Weird. Perhaps you overapplied? A few sprays, and proper knocking down of the finish with a microfiber towel and I never had issues.
Pan are you flying stuff over Canadian airspace?
AHAHAAHAH !!
Chez for the video Pam. Have been struggling to find a product that will take the mats back to OEM look. Will certainly buy 303 protectant
Thanks for watching!
Nice! That's the dirtiest I've seen your car. I feel like it's time for a famous Wash and Talk or Full Detail video! Thanks as always for your awesome content!
That's exactly why I left it in that state!! Hehe. A sweet winter wash video coming soon, with a special twist. I was on vacation in Dominican Republic for 10 days, and there was heavy snowfall before and after my trip, so yeah the car needs some lovin! It hasn't been washed in a while, which is quite unusual for me who washes my car twice weekly haha. But a man needs to take a vacation every now and then.
@@PanTheOrganizer glad you took a vacation. Always good for a reset. My mustang Mach e is also the dirtiest it's been since I bought it. I'm excited to spend a couple hours making it look new again this weekend! I get inspired every time I see your videos. Cheers!

thanks for the tip on the 303 protectant... I have some and never thought to try it that way

@@PanTheOrganizer my favorite shoe of all time would have to be Infrared 6. Big fan of 6s however, the chicago 1s are close behind with the white cement 3s.
Hey Pan, new subscriber here. I noticed you post both French and English videos. Great idea. My question is are they word for word the same? Even side comments. I am trying to learn quebecois and it helps to practice going back and forth from English to French. Thank You.

I don’t script my videos so they aren’t a word for word translation. But the ideas are the same.
How did you discover my channel by the way?
Exact video I needed! Thank you so much Pan! 🙏🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Love to see you try using carpro darkside on mats
I wouldn't use DarkSide on rubber mats.
Awesome, thanks Pan!
🥳💙🥳💙🥳💙🥳
I've been using tire wet on the mats to bring back the shine and it's super slippery.
Yeah, never use tire dressings on rubber mats, as they become slippery. Safety is key!
All I use is some BlechWhite tire cleaner, an hand scrub brush, a garden hose, and the sun, to dry them. The tire cleaner is said to be biodegradable, so that's a plus as well.
Great video Pan, vdry informative as always, the mat came out great 👍
Glad you liked it!
Excited to try the McKee’s along with the protectant you recommended when it warms up enough to use the hose! I have the same mats, but had been using SuperClean (I think you featured that product a few years ago?) Can’t wait for the weather to cooperate so I can clean my car again! Thanks for the informative video!
Thanks Jill!
Pan, does the McKee's product work better than a 1:5 dilution of any APC?
For getting that black appearance yes. APCs sometimes leave a white residue behind.
Thanks for all the great tips, love your videos. As a fellow Montrealer I can’t believe you drive your 911 T on our roads in the winter, poor rims 😢
Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. :) Best winter car I have owned. I have a separate set of summer rims.
Once cleaned, nobody can tell it has been through winter. 😁
Question pan? And thank you for all your videos. I am inspired by you. My marolex pump sprayer 2000 doesn’t seem to shoot on the car from as far as yours. Green does a fine mist and the white does better but not nearly what it looks like with your pump sprayer. Any thoughts? thank you!!!!
Hard to say as I don’t have your sprayer in hand. I know you can twist the tip to make the fan wider to shoot further. Did you try that?
Did you try reaching out to the place where you purchased it to see if there’s something defective?
Yes sir pan 🎉
Let’s go! 👍🏻
Koch Chemie Gummifix is perfect for the Anti slip protection. Works amazing!
Looks amazing 👌🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
I use Green Star 1:4 . Spray on mat , scrub with my Detail Factory tire brush, rinse with garden hose, dry with microfiber towel. I have some 303 Aerospace so I may hit it with that next time
👍🏻
Thanks Pan, great vid 👍
Glad you enjoyed it

@@PanTheOrganizer Brilliant! Thank you!
Awe, that's cute cleaning up twice used Porsche mats, I want to see you start with 100k mile Ford Focus mats that have lived through 5 Wisconsin winters. My point, it might be more demonstrative to work on something a little more challenging. I might try that McKees though.
The goal here is to show the process and products used. If the matt is older or dirtier, it doesn’t change the process.
The only thing that would be different on a super worn matt is that other than being clean at the end, it might look used…. because it is lol.
@@PanTheOrganizer Oh I get that, and I keep watching. Misery loves company and it's always inspirational to see someone make something pretty out of what the rest of us are starting out with.

You guys are lucky haha
yeah.. .. I had the dealer "armorall" (not sure what it was but for the sake of it) my floor mats once, then in combination of driving standard it was rather "interesting" clutch work...
Hi Pan. I’ve a question. Are detailing brushes really don’t scratch paint? Because all this time we keep saying that the best medium to be used on paint is microfiber. What’s your take on this?
Could the 303 protectant be used on wiper blades after cleaning them!
I don't do that, but some do. Here's how I take care of wiper blades: th-cam.com/video/eB5NtttIkPE/w-d-xo.html
Hey pan! I'm following your channel for quite a while now and im from Brazil! You have fans more than 9 thousand kilometers away lol, anyway, could I ask for a video for maintenence on ceramic coated PPF? Would be really helpful! Thanks for the awesome videos!.
Thanks Matheus! It's nice to have international viewers watching my videos. :)
In my PPF coating video, I talk about maintenance. Here: th-cam.com/video/7RCgqdGrvrA/w-d-xo.html
Have you ever tested or used any Jax Wax products by chance? Was curious too see how there products hold up to some of your test you perform.
I haven’t yet.
Are you still using 303 protectant to restore the black finish on mats?
Yes, or the one in this video: th-cam.com/video/gKWPt3DAM9U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=i1JtoKknwm6Vnghc
Hi Pan , I’m curious if there’s a difference between the blue bottle of 303 you use (and link to on the US Amazon site) and the white bottle that is sold on the Canadian Amazon store. Thanks
Would the protectant step reduce the tacky feeling I have on the backs of the weathertech floormats? I find cleaning the front side is easy but the backside always feels tacky
I never noticed them being tacky in the back, but perhaps they’re that way to ensure they stay fixed to the floor.
Down in the Deep South we don’t have road salts to deal with in winter but living in an agricultural community where the late Fall early winter is harvest time for the Sugar Cane industry the highways get lots of thick mud and debris from the harvested sugar cane and it’s a messy sludge after hard rains and cars and eventually floor mats get pretty filthy. So, during that time of year to keep my truck clean I have a simple solution-use my wife’s SUV 😂
😂👍🏻
That pan the organized 😊
😁👍🏻
I clean with Griots Rubber Cleaner and the Detail Factory tire brush then follow with 303 Aerospace Protectant (because they sell the Aerospace version in gallon size). It's very satisfying to get all that winter crud off a mat but we all know that will go away the second you step on it again 😢
Good method Kevin!
Hi Pan! Can the same stuff be used to clean and rejuvenate pickup truck tonneau covers?
303 actually makes a kit for cleaning and rejuvenating tonneau covers, here:
amzn.to/3LoiDdS
Clean with this brush: amzn.to/3HwQD6A
I used the same process. But i used Koch Chemie Gummifix for my floor mats to look brand new again.
👍🏻
Hey Pan, my cousin recently bought a Fortador Steam Cleaner and started a small detailing business with that. I saw it is very expensive and it has multiple purposes. There isnt much info and reviews on the internet about them, but the few i saw, people said they were a good investment. I was wondering why didnt you go that route with steam cleaning cars. And also, can you please do a video on how to apply dressing to your interior ? I have some issues with this. Do you apply it on every little bit of plasitc ? Like buttons and switches or just on the big parts, like dashboard, doors and so on ? Thanks ! Keep it up
Here in Montreal, we have abundant natural resources (i.e. water) and so nobody really uses steam to clean cars. We use the traditional methods with water, buckets, wash mitts.
@@PanTheOrganizer water i guess it isnt an issue in most parts of the world. Especially in Europe from where i am. Judging by your answer it is not worth the investment ? Is not better than the traditional car washing / interior cleaning methods ?
It's not better for sure. The classic method with water is always the best, in my opinion. For me, steam cleaning is meant for countries or cities where people have limited access to water, or places where there are heavy water restrictions or water bans.
that was a paaaaaaaaaaaantastic mini tutorial, great job
Glad you liked it!
Great Video..could CarPro Pearl also be used as a protectant? I believe it is water based
I haven't tested that on mats. You would have to test on an inconspicuous area first and see for yourself. But I wouldn't use it straight up for sure, I'd try a 1:5 dilution.
Is there a way to clean the rubber matts without any sort of special cleaner, and just product you can find at home like dish soap. I was thinking of only using pressure washer, but that didnt really get into all of the nooks and crannies.
You could use just an all purpose cleaner (dishwashing liquid may leave some residue or dull the finish) but that won't necessarily restore the factory appearance. Cleaning the surface is one thing, but restoring that OEM black look needs a rejuvenator.

@@PanTheOrganizer Like interior all purpose cleaner? Such as meguiars interior all purpose cleaner?
Any automotive all purpose cleaner. Here are some good ones found on Amazon:

Hey Pan...what do you think about using TW Inside Job as a last step dressing? You think it would be too slick?
I haven’t tested it as a rubber mat dressing. I have a feeling it would be slick.
@@PanTheOrganizer interesting. I think I'll test it out and report back!
Is carwash soap not strong enough to do the job? I don't want to buy a dedicated cleaner just for mats
I have 23 year old car mats in my one car. They all look new except the driver side. They are black with mostly blue flames. The blue flames have more black on them now due to my feet being on them. Will your method help remove all the black on the floor mats even after all these years?
I have tried cleaning them throughout the years. Just never have been able to get them to look new again like the other 3 floor mats.
It depends how badly they are worn out. Cleaning them won’t restore missing color or material. It rejuvenates what can be restored.
Try it, and if it still doesn’t work, perhaps it’s time to get new mats. I have yet to meet anyone that kept their mats for that long. They will have served you well.
What’s the name of the intro music? It sounds great. 👍
"Look at me" by artist Hurley Mower.
Hey pan love the channel keep up the great work. I was wondering if you ever tried car pro pearl diluted on the floor Matts and if that leaves a slippery feel?
I haven't.
Can you add a ceramic coating on the mats?
I wouldn’t recommend that as you run the risk of having them be too slippery or slick.
My BMW x1 had some super greasy floor mat shine when I got it from the car dealership. Nearly tore my groin getting in it for the first time 😂
😂😂
Does meguires supreme shine work for these mats. It says it’s non greasy.
I haven't tested that. Don't use anything that makes the surface slippery or contains silicones.
Oh, I never thought about 303 for the mats! Great info I'll keep in mind since I'm getting back into washing my own car again although I am getting a professional ceramic coating done again, but I am a little bit hesitant since they are using FEYNLAB Ceramic and I haven't found many reviews on it, so I am curious what your thoughts are on that brand. Great vids and keep on inspiring people like me to clean up our cars! 😆
Thanks! I haven’t tested Feynlab products yet.
Can you do a video of a fabric floor mats?
