"Oh maaan why are you doing this to mee" two seconds later, Barry : "why are you doing this to me?" LMAO Mommy stuffs get me EVERY TIME, they're so intense, Nora and Barry's relationship would be too much to handle on an every day basis that's why she's dead lmao.
Barry's actor is a hugely expressive man. When it comes to his parents, there's little that gets the waterworks going for me like Barry does. This is one of my favorite episodes for the sheer amount of feels.
Tears, I tell you, full on tears in this episode. Kevin Smith definitely cried while filming the scenes between Barry and Nora. Whenever The Flash do this kind of stuff, it never fail.
"Penny and Dime" and "The Runaway Dinosaur" Two comic book shows titled after fictional books that brought the feels hard. :'( Kevin Smith should direct some Arrow. They could even let him introduce Onomatopoeia as the villain, which I think would make for some fun TV.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mum Eric. It really brought into perspective, your reaction to Barry's scenes with Nora. I'll definitely keep her in my prayers. God bless.
I love this episode, its super emotional, but when Aaron's lip started quivering after she said "run barry run" I couldn’t help but chuckle, that was just too relatable 😂😂😂
Barry came out much more confident, the next level of The Flash, all the while all characters were directed very well. They didn't have that typical drawn out so focused on emotions dialogue and stared that CW tends to have. It was refreshing, and I thought it was great. The best episode of Iris yet.
+Blind Wave kevin smith should do an episode of arrow next year cuz it wouldnt be fair if he did a flash episode and didnt do an arrow one cuz arrow is the one who started this all.
+Philipe Galvão not really, i've seen a lot of people from Brazil here specially on the last few months, and on streams, but i don't always comment on the reaction videos, i talk a lot more on the streams. I'm from João Pessoa - PB =)
I love how this episode went full circle with season one. In S1 E1 Oliver told Barry that he didn't think that the lightning just struck him, but he thought that it chose him. Now finding out an entire season later that Oliver was right and that the speed force did choose Barry to be the flash is so freaking bad ass! Great episode for a great reaction!
What is it with Aaron always predicting the future? I mean, seriously. He said Barry's dad was gonna die this season, literally, next episode, he dies.
I believe Mewes was the metahuman in the black hood with the sickle/axe in the back left of the room. Marc and Kevin did a Fat Man on Batman live in Detroit, and Kevin mentioned that Jason's face was covered and he had an awesome looking weapon, also that he was in the back.
We all love you Eric. You really make our lives a better place. I kind of assumed some things before but finally saw that recent video. I can't imagine how these scenes made you feel.
It's also worth noting that this episode was written by one of the main screenwriters of Thor and X-Men: First Class (Zack Stentz). Also,Jason Mewes was the guy in the black mask standing next to the 1940's reporter guy.
First of all I wanted to start with a short message to Eric, Geez man I'm so sorry about your mother! You really had me emotional in this video. Your reaction with the scenes about Nora were so real and heartbreaking. I immediately knew there was something else. So , take care! I think you are very brave sharing this on your channel! but mannn....the episode! Kevin Smith has done a true masterpiece on the Flashto say at least. It was so beautofully directed, I loved every scene with the speedforce. It was so interesting and it kept me focussed the whole time. Most people tend to dislike Iris but I am one of the few who actually love that character, also she developed so much during this season. I like the scene with cisco " You stand behind me!" Great! I am still wondering though why was Jesse more affected by the PA than Wally. He didn't get in a coma.like she did, will he become Kid Flash is my question, I do hope so. I really love this Wally West, Keiynan Lonsdale does a great job. I have also my own theory that Jay Garrick is the man behind the mask but played by John Wesley Shipp. I would make sense we never saw the doppelgänger of Barry's Dad. And Henry also mentioned that Garrick is a name familiar in his family. I am very excited about the final!
Nothing but prayers and love for you and your family right now. Mom stuff destroys me too. I saw Brave a year after I lost my mother, not knowing what the film was about other than it was a Pixar film; fifteen minutes into the movie I knew I was in trouble and by the end of it I was bawling. And I still react to mom stuff too. What an episode.
calaha717 I see Mas y Menos as more similar to the Wonder Twins in a way that they touch to activate their powers. Firestorm doesn't actually touch to activate each other's individual powers, they touch to merge into one being who has powers. But when I was posting the comment, I was only thinking about Mas y Menos and no one else.
+Blind Wave Jesse is a speedster in the comics and her and Wally getting struck is alluding to their speed powers, but like some metahuman powers, they won't reveal themselves until they face an extremely stressful situation
Fun fact Gents, the writer for this episode was Zack Stentz, one of the scriptwriters for X-Men First Class and Thor! Lot of geek cred in this episode all around.
Hey Blindwave, not sure if you guys caught it, but the scene with joe and wally when joe drops the cup it slows down like in the pilot with barry at jitters, when the waiter drops the coffee tray. I believe he has the speed force now. What do you guys think?
Great reactions, I'm with you on all of it! Eric, I hope your mom will recover. It's the human elements of The Flash that makes this show incredible and real to the fans. Like Greg Berlanti mentioned in an interview, take away his powers and what is he? Still a humble guy who wants to help everyone (not exact quote lmao).
My mother survived breast cancer when I was 12. I don't know how she did it because it broke me watching her go through it. Not knowing it she was going to survive. Fuck cancer.
I think it's funny how the actor who played Girder in this episode was also in the show iZombie from DC comics, *spoilers* where he was last seen turned into a zombie, and now he appears on Flash also turned into a zombie. I just thought it was a fun coincidence.
This episode of flash was meeeh to me but your personal story about your mum really was heart felt, thanks for sharing and i hope she currently doing well.
I totally thought of that graveyard scene as well Aaron. Eric, have you seen Flashpoint Paradox? I seem to recall you saying you didn't. If not, why the hell not? Probably one of the top five DC animated movies ever.
Awww... Eric... You're a big softy. It's okay... The feels are real with mom... I feel it too. My mom passed away about 5 years ago, and I never got to say goodbye, so I get it. Grant Gustin, and the water works, boy can drop em like no one's business. But I liked this episode a lot. It helps brings the audience closer to Barry, to really understand his struggle, and helps explain his motivation to always want to to do the right thing and be a hero. I think Kevin Smith did a great job interpreting all that drive and emotion into one episode, and stil give it the action and thrill it really needed without making it too emotional. And definitely NOT a filler episode. Designed with enough character production, especially for Wally and Jesse. But, this is just my opinion. So how does it make you feel to finally see Iris Pull Barry out of the friend zone for Speed Force & Chill? Lo.
_This episode hit me where I live!_ 😢 Beautiful reaction guys - had me in tears all over again. It was just such an emotionally powerful episode... I can't wait to see Barry's newfound strength/speed go up against Zoom!
Eric, I don't want to get too deep on the personal stuff, but I feel you with the mom stuff. I wish you and your family strength for everything. Also, I love your videos, I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I'm already a fan of all you do. Much love to the crew from Germany 👋🏽😁✌🏽️
Man in the iron mask is Wally as Kid Flash. Bring him over so we can have Flash, Kid Flash and Jessie Quick vs Zoom and army of Metahumans. After the fight, Kid Flash goes back to Earth 2. So we get Kid Flash, but still save Wally from Earth 1 till Season 3 to discover his powers.
+Kyle Acton Don't think so. I think the guy in the iron mask could be Earth-2 Henry Allen. Which in this world his name is jay garrick. Beacause the last episode when Henry heard the garrick name, he said : nothing, it's my mom's middle name. So that could be a clue.. but hey, just my thoughts ^^
"He had mad game over his mom's grave."
Goddamit Eric.
I lost my mother at 17 to illness and every episode with Barry´s mom gets to me. I always lose it so i totally get you man. Nothing to be ashamed of.
Stay strong ❤✌️
I'm sorry to hear that about your Mom Eirc, anyway great video as always.

Great reaction as always.
Seriously wanted to climb through the screen and give Eric a hug.

Two comic book shows titled after fictional books that brought the feels hard. :'(
Kevin Smith should direct some Arrow. They could even let him introduce Onomatopoeia as the villain, which I think would make for some fun TV.
Well, he'd have to write the episode as well
True.
He said in an interview he'd be willing to write an episode for Arrow
He is gonna direct an Arrow episode
Nah boi Kevin Smith is to The Flash what James Bamford is to Arrow
Right, now I just want to hold and gently hug Eric.

my fave theme of these reactions is Erik being: All I wanted was to see this boy run fast... I didnt sign up for these feels.
Awesome.
I believe Mewes was the metahuman in the black hood with the sickle/axe in the back left of the room. Marc and Kevin did a Fat Man on Batman live in Detroit, and Kevin mentioned that Jason's face was covered and he had an awesome looking weapon, also that he was in the back.
As someone who recently lost his mom way to young, this episode FUCKED ME UP!
Damn. Eric crying like Kevin smith in season 1
"Next week on...ZOOM. AAAHHHHH!!!!!!"

-_-

Twist: Jessie Quick and Wally West are going to be like Mas y Menos from teen Titans. They can run fast but only when they're in contact with other.
