The logical step for Devoe is to kill Ralph and take his power because with that he can shapeshift back into himself. I think at this point Devoe has the powers of Weeper, Kilgore, Brainstorm, Dwarf Star, Black Bison, and of course Hazard. Fallout is contained in a special cell designed to contain the radiation and he is wherever Tracy Brand is which hopefully means we will see her again. That is eight metas so far, with four to go.
Yap you can tell how the yellow light goes to the chair to the person then back to the chair all ending in her that was so sad to watch for a second time
So if you pay attention, you'll see that the light in the tentacles go to each person one by one, and the person who it's in turns and smiles at Barry before the light leaves them. So, Deveaux is entering their bodies one at a time and taking their powers, ending in Lady Luck. Also, I get the feeling that he can't go back into a body once he leaves, though I may be wrong.
Me too, especially because his body seems like the perfect host for the Thinker, a completely malleable body, practically invulnerable, and immune to any possible side effects as a result of the Thinker's powers. He's also capable of shapeshifting so the Thinker could regain his original form if he chose to.
One thing that confused me in this episode was why was Rundine pissed at Barry? Barry didn’t put him in jail since he was in jail when he committed crimes. It was mainly Caitlin, Joe, Harry, & Iris who got him sent to prison.
Its back, and so are the reactions, so I clicked as fast as the speed force allows (and I might have destroyed 2 different realities and altered a few timelines, but whatever :-P)
on a 2nd rewatch, she had such a badass line while protecting Berry, "good luck with that" not sure how I missed that first time, but I love it so much.

17:39 "What is the big plan here?" Deveaux needs Ralph Digby's power so he can turn himself back into his original self. At least for short periods of time, so his wife feels like she's still married to her original guy. Also he specifically chose these powers for other reasons. For some kind of end game that probably involves taking control of the city and the world. Probably humanity. He's going to become an unstoppable force to subject humanity to his idea of what would make them better; enslavement to his ego.
Okay, so let's look at what we know about the metahumans affected by the particle accelerator explosion; *Ronnie Raymond and Martin Stein were hit by the fusion of the explosion and Stein's F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M. project on transmutation causing them to bind and develop nuclear-like abilities. *Vigilante was being shot in the head and gained the ability to regenerate. *Dinah Drake was screaming as she witnessed Vince's death and gained her sonic scream, Multiplex was working on cellular regeneration to heal his wife and gained the ability to clone himself. *Clyde Mardon and Mark Mardon (Weather Wizard) were both flying through a storm at the time of the explosion and both gained the ability to control the weather. *The Mist was being sentenced to death via gas when the explosion hit. *Plastique had an ability of spontaneous combustion and was in the middle of surgery to remove a bomb fragment. *Girder had fallen into a vat of molten steel when the accelerator hit. *Blackout who gains the ability to siphon and fire of electricity was perched on the top of an electrical tower. *Pied Piper was frustrated at the time of the explosion that Wells and the rest of S.T.A.R. Labs were refusing to HEAR his assertions that activating the accelerator was dangerous, and ended up with superhuman hearing. It's almost a reversal of logic as you'd think that would give him a booming voice, or the ability to make people listen to him/do what he says, but it's also not too far outside of the realm of the show's logic. *Gorilla Grodd was being experimented on by Harrison Wells and General Wade Eiling, the latter of whom was hoping to discover things like psychic abilities and mind control, before the explosion hit. Outliers: *We're not sure what Rainbow Raider was doing when the explosion hit, though in the comics he was colourblind, so that could tie-in. *Peek-a-Boo wanted to break her boyfriend out of prison, and run away, ending up with the power of teleportation, though we're not sure where she was on the night of the explosion. *We know Everyman has the ability to shapeshift, but don't know either what he was doing at the time of the explosion, or how he may have felt that made him want to change his appearance. *Deathbolt is one of the few metahumans we know for certain wasn't in Central City at the time of the explosion. Now this is just from Season 1, but of those, every single meta that we know was in Central City during the explosion, and what they were doing, seems to have some sort of connection to their abilities. Extend this to the bus metas and we know that Kilg%re was a computer guy from Silicon Valley, that Black Bison was an activist obsessed with reclaiming artifacts, that Hazard was convinced she had terrible luck, that Fallout used to drive trucks disposing of nuclear waste, that Dwarfstar combined with the dwarf-star alloy he'd just stolen from Palmer Technologies (which we also know Ray uses for his Atom suit, so the shrinking ability makes sense). We don't know how Dominic was connected to his mind-reading abilities. You could make a case that "The Weeper" was a depressed drug-addict, that just wanted to be loved, and that why he's able to literally cry tears of a super-addictive love-drug. Ralph you could argue was no stranger to "stretching" the truth? My point is, in most cases, metahumans on The Flash seem to have connections to their powers.
I don't think there randomized, the crying guy got LSD tears, the unlucky lady got luck, Mirror master fell into a even Dinah on arrow got the cry cause she was screaming etc...
I really really loved that last episode. It was awesome. Flash is great this season. I love the fact that Devoe's wife is having doubts and she'll eventually turn against him most likely. I think devoe needed Barry incarcerated knowing he would get him access to the bus metas and their powers. He transferred himself into each body one at a time, absorbing their powers along the way ending in Becky's. So he's using Barry as part of his plan. If Devoe gets Ralphs body, he could look like anyone he wants, including his old self.
Becky was my favorite meta.... (Edit) What?!? I never got 5 likes in my lifetime! Thanks guys! Well that’s 20+ likes now 30 likes! 80 Likes! Well, Luck be a Lady 100 likes! Woooooo

If DeVoe is able take over Ralph's body and able to use the shape-shift ability to change into DeVoe's original body. Would he not use his other powers, If he can only use one power a time?
he can clearly use all the powers since he was still reading minds as becky. I think they might balance it out by making only be able to use 1 power at a time
I don't really like "Killer" Frost since she turned good. I feel like she's being wasted. Now she's Oprah? Even when there's a fight scene she gets her ass handed to her every time. Still love Caitlin (sp), but put Frosty on the shelf until she gets her teeth back.
I think that's why she's losing so much. She's not giving it her all. Killer Frost does what she wants, when she wants. And she's made it clear she finds the whole thing cheesy.
Once again, I fail to see how Amunet is a threat to any of Team Flash. She needs to be more powerful in order for me to be in anyway intimidated by her. Hell, I felt more intimidated by Wolfe and he's fucking dead!
chvll.vvbes and yet every chracter is afraid of her. Even Killer Frost, the wise cracking badass, was shaking in her boots at the mere mention of her name. She's clearly meant to be taken somewhat seriously. You can't have a joke villain like her if the characters are also taking her seriously
You got to think about it like this Eric. There was no possible way to get Barry out of jail completely honestly and truthfully/proving that Barry didn't kill divoe and that he was framed without Barry saying that he's the flash. Ralph disguising himself as divoe is/was the only way to get Barry out of jail in a "legal" way.
I think by seeing what he was doing at the end ,it makes sense .there was this yellow energy transferring itself to the various metahumans and then going back into Dominic so he was absorbing their powers but before he could transfer Beckys powers to Dominic's Body ,Barry interrupted it thus making DeVoe remain in Becky's body
I think the DevoeTech is a multi-purpose gadget that either transfers his consciousness to other bodies or collects meta abilities or copy-pastes his so called "illumination" to other people...
The thinkers super thinking powers are a caused by the meta gene so that would have to carry over for him to keep super thinking without his brain overloading.
Good episode imo .i liked the prison break subplot and I loved them showing finally how intelligent Barry is ..he's a scientist for petes sake and they hardly show it so I'm glad they did this episode . I enjoyed the Ralph subplot too, even though his arc was a bit of a retread .So atleast we now know DeVoe is trying to collect the Bus Metas powers for some reason ..I wonder if we will continue to get different actors playing DeVoe since Dominic is now gone (wasn't a big fan of the actor though He was growing on me) and now has Beckys body (who seems fine but in still unsure about her ) though I liked seeing the original actor again (I still like him the best, he was really good imo)
Devoe thought so ahead. He knew he was gonna do shit that his wife wouldn't like so he created a meta that can make others fall in love with the first persont they see. This is crazy!
I get this feeling that, because of how the chair works, none of the metas DeVoe went after are dead. I think their 'minds' are stored in the chair, considering it hooks right into the guy's brain. They'll likely realize it if Ralph gets taken. The wife will help the team restore everyone, and Thinker will end up becoming a machine, like Brainiac.
Speed force lmao... With this show the answer is ALWAYS the speed force...no matter how little it makes sense, if at all, the answer is always the speed force lol
chvll.vvbes it was obviously a joke bro... Don't be taking things so seriously lol... Of course the speed force couldn't be the answer for everything but again I was joking
Well we now know he didn’t take Weepers powers or his body cause the Meta tears didn’t come out of DeVoe’s eyes so he’s probably locked up in his lab strapped up like in a clockwork orange scenario. Also so much for “we’ve never lied to each other before let’s not start now.” But I guess to him drugging his wife without her knowing isn’t considered a lie if no questions are asked about the drink itself? ^~^
Do you think the disease DeVoe has that deteriorates his body carries over into the next body? Like is that why he needs to keep switching bodies cuz the old body is dying?
Couldn't team flash just say that DeVoe is a meta that has the power to switch bodies. It's not like Central City doesn't know that metas exist. Isn't Luck a power that works off of random variables, can DeVoe predict future events with so many unlikely random variables occuring simultaneously?
SO DEVEAU KNEW HE WAS GONNA HAVE RALPH TRANFSORM INTO HIM SO WHEN HE TAKES RALPHS POWERS HE CAN BE TRANSFORM BACK INTO HIS ORIGINAL FACE :O HE SMART AS HELL
It still bothers me a bit that they didn't get Jay Garrick to talk to Barry in prison to resemble that scene of him talking to his dad from prison when he time traveled in season one's finale. It would have made sense considering how season 4 goes back to season 1 vibes (no cisco pun intended) alot. But they missed their chance.
So Becky was possessed because A she is technically the strongest meta meaning she can house Devoe's consciousness OR B. Beckys powers deemed the best luck she could get at the moment was to be possessed by devoe and not end up like the other 3 meta's
man i'm pretty certain at this point that devoe's plan is way different than what he told his wife it was. He acted as if he didn't expect barry to get to that situation at the start of the episode but to me it seems like this was his plan all along.
I was hoping Paul McGillion was going to be around for more of the episode, he played one of my favourite characters in Stargate Atlantis so I am always chuffed to see him turn up in something else. As for the jail stuff the way they got Barry out felt kind of cheap especially given the amount of times Barry said he wanted to do this "the right way."
Calling it. They will keep repeating the same repetitive Ralph subplot this whole season. Is confident. Loses confidence. Doesn't want to go on a mission because: fear. Gets peptalk. Goes on mission. It's the new hallway talk.
I mean am i the only one who sees the difference between being afraid to die and just not wanting to go because of self doubt. One is literally just cowardice. The other he's not afraid to die he's thinking ill screw it all up and make it worse. Not the same at all
@@cosmicmaster1006 Who cares. My comment was from 5 years ago. I can barely remember that crappy show. I stopped watching it because of how terrible it was. It only became worse and worse.
@@IIIIKaiserIIII and im now even happier i made this comment. Maybe less people like you will exist, and instead more people who use their heads. Glad the show lost you tho
They gave some nonsense reason last week and like the writers planned no one is thinking about it anymore, we all just accept it because this is the flash. actually heres what they said: th-cam.com/video/mByIswXupQM/w-d-xo.html
Hmmm that feels like a thinly veiled insult, anyway Cecile is a throwaway character and I feel they needed her to have mind-reading powers for the sake of the shows plot. How she got her powers is still some nonsense the writers came up with.
I think the bus meta's have a different meta makeup so that he can take their powers, but the other metas he cant take because they have a different makeup
Wait what if he wants the bus meta’s powers because they got there powers from the speed force because before when devoe was in his natural body as Clifford devoe he had speed force symbols under his eye
Maybe DeVoe can only take the bus metas powers b/c they haven't had these powers for very long which makes them volatile and easier to adapt to a new host , idk.
I loved Richard Brooks in this episode. While the warden character was a bit flat to me, watching a black actor playing a white (and very whitebread) guy pretending to be his idea of how a black man would act, Brooks was just hilarious. He became Ralph Dibney! Great job!
I don't think Devoe can use all of the powers he has acquired because if the writers take the logic from season 1, using all his powers would drain him considerably. Also, did you notice that he was taking the bodies of the ones who were not thieves or killers.
This episode was so uneven for me. I liked the big picture chess moves that were made (like Barry finally getting out of prison), but the execution was lazy and relied so heavily on people being dumb and incompetent. That scene with Dibny impersonating DeVoe had so many problems. First of 'judge', check the morgue at CCPD. Presumably there was an autopsy done for the murder investigation. Or if the body was released to Marlize, exhume the body. We are talking about releasing a convicted murderer, and there wasn't any further inquiry about this miraculous 'back from the dead' scenario. Even Cecille mentioned all the impossible things that keep happening in Central City, is the concept of a shape shifter implausible? Further, why was the prosecutor not present for the appeal hearing, only Marlize was present. Did she suddenly obtain a law degree? And when Barry was attempting a prison break, why were there no guards, or an alarm that would notify Wolfe/anyone else if there was tampering with the locks. I mean, there was absolutely no resistance. It could have made for a compelling and tense storyline, but it was completely wasted. I get having no cameras since everything is off the books, but Wolfe isn't smart enough to keep an eye on his merchandise? Really? And I'm also assuming that the time period between episode 13 & 14 is one day, given the one stick Barry draws on the wall near the end of the episode. So Barry came up with that convoluted plan in one day? Seriously?! At least give me a montage of Barry putting together his escape plan, figuring out guard schedules, testing out the non-existent alarm, something so that things make sense. And how did that plumber know that Barry's toilet was clogged. Presumably Barry had to notify someone, like say a guard, about it, right? And what was the point of Wolfe as a character? He had no impact on the story, take him out and what changes? It feels like he was created just to be fridged in order to show how evil Clifford is and cause a rift between the DeVoes. Again, there were some parts that I enjoyed, like the obligatory 'hero needs a pep talk/needs to believe in themselves' storyline with Ralph which gave him more depth (and I loved the self aware twist by having Killer Frost talk about how inconsistent she is as part of that pep talk), and I really enjoyed Becky this episode, and I loved that she helped Barry in the end (I really hope she isn't dead). But the rest of the details got really muddled for me. The big moments felt rushed and nebulous, nothing felt like it had weight, which was disappointing.
Here's what I don't get: Didn't CCPD forensics/coroner confirm that DeVoe's body was indeed dead before charging Barry with murder? Did they explain it in the show and I missed it? Shouldn't they question the person who determined the cause of death? Or go to the morgue and check on his body first before believing the imposter?
I think we have already seen why DeVoe wants Ralphs power, it will allow him to go back to his own perfect form, it will allow him to go back to looking like a healthy DeVoe so that his wife can feel comfortable looking into the face of the man she married, as opposed to him now looking like a little blonde chick
I remember reading someone's comment that said why devoe would want a meta that the tears are drugs? well ... they gave us the answer: to ruffy his wife, that's why.
5:09 - "bc it'd be bulky" lmao... idk why I found that so funny but I did n I bet u that nobody else will even mention it bc it just came n went too fast lol
Plastic man can morph in the comics. It seems they are combining plastic man and the elongated man. If DeVoe takes Ralph's body he can look like himself again... and he'll have all the other meta powers...
I agree with Eric about the way barry got out, just because the truth is difficult to prove doesnt mean its ok to just ignore it to achieve 'what is right' And just because devoe did illegal things to get barry in prison, i dont think its consistent with Barrys charachter for him to use this as an excuse to get out of prison through less than legal methods
What Barry meant by "legal" is to get out of prison without living the rest of his as a fugitive.
30:43 - 30:57.
Had to mark that down because that was too funny!
yeah that was great! lol
:))

You can see him use Kilg%re's power when he controls the little grappy things on the chair without being in it to work the controls.
Neat catch! I thought it was just connected to him still or something.
Ah, I should've caught that. You are a true child of Beebo.
That's what I thought to thanks for confirmation
Didn't he/she now uses the shrinking powers while teleporting away?
Hunter Guiles I think it's Kilgores power and she just held on to the chair and teleport away
DeVoe possessing Becky: hissable villain in a kissable body. I haven't been this confused since the Doctor turned into Jodie Whittaker.
I got shook when Aaron said "clever girl" at 8:22. He had no idea lol

Exactly
Maniac was just getting on the action.
I mean the warden outed him to the bus metas there that he was the flash and Rudine got arrested by Barry's friend for Barry he'd be pissed again!
The warden said that the flash would put them back in prison so he might have just wanted to make sure that he doesn't.
Literally what I was wondering.

The movie Eric meant is Fallen from 1998
I get this feeling that, because of how the chair works, none of the metas DeVoe went after are dead. I think their 'minds' are stored in the chair, considering it hooks right into the guy's brain.
They'll likely realize it if Ralph gets taken. The wife will help the team restore everyone, and Thinker will end up becoming a machine, like Brainiac.
My only question about Ralph's shapeshifting is how he changed skin color. How did that work?
Red Lantern Reviews it's a comicbook show...they explain things with science that makes no sense...thems da breaks yo
Red Lantern Reviews he shapeshift at a cellular level and skin pigmentation is cells so I guess that's how
Red Lantern Reviews I’m a shapeshiftoligist and can confirm that this is a cw show and that’s how
Speed force lmao...
30:55 This is why you guys are x100 better than The Normies
Kevin Worytko Dang. Lol. They're cool too
No, no they're not.
Well we now know he didn’t take Weepers powers or his body cause the Meta tears didn’t come out of DeVoe’s eyes so he’s probably locked up in his lab strapped up like in a clockwork orange scenario.
Also so much for “we’ve never lied to each other before let’s not start now.”
But I guess to him drugging his wife without her knowing isn’t considered a lie if no questions are asked about the drink itself? ^~^
I am from Brazil and I love this channel although I do not understand 100% of what is said. You guys do a great job
Katie Sackhoff's like fifth appearance and still no mention she is the voice of Bo-Katan. And you call yourself fans of The Clone Wars and Rebels.
Do you think the disease DeVoe has that deteriorates his body carries over into the next body? Like is that why he needs to keep switching bodies cuz the old body is dying?
I have a prediction for the final episode (or at least will happen sometime in the future):
Ralph (absorbed by Devoe) vs the Flash.
Even if Team Flash were dishonest in getting Barry out, DeVoe was dishonest first getting him in
Couldn't team flash just say that DeVoe is a meta that has the power to switch bodies. It's not like Central City doesn't know that metas exist.
Isn't Luck a power that works off of random variables, can DeVoe predict future events with so many unlikely random variables occuring simultaneously?
They still follow certain laws. Team flash dont have any evidence that wouldnt expose barry as the flash
49:00
Well I didn't think that would be in a blind wave video, but I guess after multiple kink discussions it had to go there
I think Ralphs power elongates from the details in the polymer of the person. Like he was able to give himself a six pack!
I love that the meatloaf convo turned into "Fucking Bulbasaur". Hahahaha That had me cracking up!!
Been waiting for this reaction all day. Worth the wait!
SO DEVEAU KNEW HE WAS GONNA HAVE RALPH TRANFSORM INTO HIM SO WHEN HE TAKES RALPHS POWERS HE CAN BE TRANSFORM BACK INTO HIS ORIGINAL FACE :O HE SMART AS HELL
8:40 that actor is really good, he really made me believe that he was ralph
I thought that last scene was weird too
It still bothers me a bit that they didn't get Jay Garrick to talk to Barry in prison to resemble that scene of him talking to his dad from prison when he time traveled in season one's finale. It would have made sense considering how season 4 goes back to season 1 vibes (no cisco pun intended) alot. But they missed their chance.
So Becky was possessed because A she is technically the strongest meta meaning she can house Devoe's consciousness OR
B. Beckys powers deemed the best luck she could get at the moment was to be possessed by devoe and not end up like the other 3 meta's
DeVoe absorbed bus metas powers and took Becky's body. Poor Ralph, I hope they will protect him
man i'm pretty certain at this point that devoe's plan is way different than what he told his wife it was. He acted as if he didn't expect barry to get to that situation at the start of the episode but to me it seems like this was his plan all along.
Takes me back to when Orochimaru used to go from body to body
why they didnt use the face changer of the past season?
How did Cecile get her mind-reading power though?
James Lee Humm... Flashpoint
They gave some nonsense reason last week and like the writers planned no one is thinking about it anymore, we all just accept it because this is the flash. actually heres what they said: th-cam.com/video/mByIswXupQM/w-d-xo.html
James Lee they said since the particle accelerator dark matter was laid dormant inside her but her pregnancy awakened it
Hmmm that feels like a thinly veiled insult, anyway Cecile is a throwaway character and I feel they needed her to have mind-reading powers for the sake of the shows plot. How she got her powers is still some nonsense the writers came up with.
So Cecile got her power because she’s pregnant? Sounds weird.
I get how Dibney can change his appearance! But that shoulden't change his voice right???
Appearently he's stretching his vocal cords too. Doesn't explain how he gets the voices right on the first try, but eh...
haha yeee that 's the only thing that for me was like "ehhhh how?"
I think the bus meta's have a different meta makeup so that he can take their powers, but the other metas he cant take because they have a different makeup
i think Devoe is gonna take over Ralph's body and use his power to make himself look like his original self
Wait what if he wants the bus meta’s powers because they got there powers from the speed force because before when devoe was in his natural body as Clifford devoe he had speed force symbols under his eye
15:57 - What do that meta's tears do again? I totally forget what they're supposed to do
They’re basically like a drug.
Maybe DeVoe can only take the bus metas powers b/c they haven't had these powers for very long which makes them volatile and easier to adapt to a new host , idk.
love ralph "your such a mean lady"
HOW CAN RALPH BECOME ANY RACE LOL
I think its mentioned he can change his cells so he might be able to change his skin cells
They mix him with plastic man who can change himself in almost anything
Evan Brown it's a show about a dude who can run at amazing speed...why try to make sense of that...it's just dope...
UK youtube i drank paint...when i was in the asylum and that never happened....thanks cw
For nothing
Evan Brown because... the show said so and something to do with his cells
Devoe wants to get all bus meta powers then will take Ralph's body and turn back into himself using Ralph's powers
What happened to Beckett after Atlantis?
Masato Tanaka He went to Central City
Alexius Donnovan apparently and became an alcoholic
*Beckett's clone went to Central City
The chair is like a storage container
you didn't get the "youre gonna love me" batman reference!
Let’s put it this way, what they told judge was true, from a certain point of view
that was my idea. taking other people's powers.
I couldn’t tell at the end of this episode, Did DeVoe kill Amunet or was she just knocked out
This episode was so uneven for me.
The Thinker is going Captain Ginyu on the Rogues' asses!
Well they did say they would be investigating but from all that appeared, Barry was (and 100% is) innocent
I think Daniel west is the kid of Cecile and Joe.
20:47 boom, right there. We accept that in this show so why is it so difficult to accept it in real life with real people just living their lives
Plastic man can morph in the comics. It seems they are combining plastic man and the elongated man.
If DeVoe takes Ralph's body he can look like himself again... and he'll have all the other meta powers...
havok6280 yeah i was gonna say...i dont recall seeing elongated man do that in the comics...plastic man yeah...shoutout to jack cole
If Ralph is captured and De voe gets his power he will be able to transform back into his old self for his wife
yeah Hazard is kind of OP, such an interesting power set.
I agree with Eric about the way barry got out, just because the truth is difficult to prove doesnt mean its ok to just ignore it to achieve 'what is right'
And just because devoe did illegal things to get barry in prison, i dont think its consistent with Barrys charachter for him to use this as an excuse to get out of prison through less than legal methods
Technically barry didn't do anything. Cecile and ralph did it.
