I liked that moment when Barry just vibrates and VANISHES in front of Chester at the site of the black flame victim. It's interesting to see a speedster's feats from a non-speedster's perspective.
You know what it reminds me of? In Smallville, we always saw Clark' superspeed as a blur when he departs. But we got to see this again in S6 from Lana's point of view and it feels the same with your comment. One second Clark was standing in front of Chole, the next second, he just turned around and sped off instantly, as in he vanished.
Even all the heroes of the Justice League asked Flash to go back in time and change Earth's timeline in Justice League Dark Apokolips War. Just saying that among all the heroes, Flash is the most important one besides Superman and Batman.

It's important to note that the CGI isn't actually bad at all. What's bad on occasion are the green screen effects (Thawne in episode 4, the gold boots reveal in episode 5 and Meena running in the forest in episode 18). But the fact that those scenes actually stick out like a sore thumb says something about the overall CGI quality this season.
No the cgi was weird. Like now I hate it when they make the actor run on a treadmill and just add the lightning in the background like that is terrible.

I would have loved if they gave us another full season with 20 or 22 episodes where Barry uses his powers like in the last season, and then end the show with a 10th season with 13 episodes. Just when he started to be his best version they decided to end the show, all of the 8 season build up of Barry's abilities are going to waste without another 20 episode season in which he could have done more impressive things and evolved and perfected his abilities even more and maybe even create and master new ones. A 13 episodes final season feels a little rushed, they can't fit everything we want to see one last time in just 13 episodes, like Barry travelling to the future to for example: the 31st century, since he has never travelled that far into the future, it would have been fun to see him do that; like Barry creating Gideon, or him unlocking and discovering more new abilities, and the perfect ending of ending the show where it all began: Barry fighting Thawne one last time and going back to his house where his mom was murdered and starting the timeline loop where Thawne got stuck in that time.
Well since season 4 he has been really fast, season 7 he did get his speed back majority of the season and season 8 was him being at his fastest while also gaining new abilities (season 7 and 8 were supposed to be the original series finales) so season 9 is a bonus, plus hopefully no filler where Barry just loses out of nowhere so those 13 episodes will be jam packed with a full powered Barry. Lots can be done in 13 episodes especially if they are longer than previous season episodes practically making them the runtime of a regular season
This is what the flash would be without any drama or nerfs of power throughout the series, powerful and able to defeat any problem But hey, they didn’t want the flash to end so quickly-

The show would've already ended. Only Eobard and other speedsters can stand a chance, even though Barry should have "unlocked his potential" of infinite speed, with the harmony of the forces too. And Despero wouldn't stand a chance if he couldn't "see" that Barry stopped to have a chat.

I have to admit I am worried for Season 9, but I loved Season 8 so much and it is easily my favorite season of the series, finally got a Barry close to the comics, took 8 years, but finally got it. Thamk god Eric Wallace came in when he did, if Todd Helbing was still showrunner, this series wouldnt be anywhere near as good as it is rn

They did the best with the CGI budget they had to work with. The viewer ship of the show has only been going down every season meaning they are making less money. I'd love to see the flash on HBO Max as a 10 Episode season show.

@@Luiz.325 most of the cool cgi fights was in the dark and it only looked good because the lightning reflected off the buildings. Effect wise very easy to do. They are simply trying to do much harder effects and I have so much sympathy for the cg artists who spend 10-12 hours a day working on these shots for then people to completely roast the hell out them. @@ParallaxOnline I fcking disagree. In S3 most of the fight scenes if not all of the episode 3x13 for example were in the day and they were amazing and better than today. They recreated the entire Gorilla City and had a hell of a fight between Flash and Solovar. That scene of Flash running in the water for example in 1x05 is better than this chase of him and Meena in 8x18. Anyway, there is no shortage of examples of scenes like this in the first season.
@@ParallaxOnline I don't have this sympathy thing. I'm a fan and when it's bad I'll talk and when it's good I'll talk too. I don't buy any shit they do on the show. Much less mediocre CGI scenes in the current seasons that are examples of lazy work. I understand some things will not go as expected due to the small budget but most of the time it seems that the production of the series is too lazy to deliver something good.
The suits in this season were the best, but they went a little too hard with the lightning. Imagine if instead of Palpatining Thawne, Barry did something similar to his Injustice 2 super and ran him around, beating him, slamming him into things, and in general just being brutal. He basically relived his worst fear from season 3 here. Something darker would have been appropriate.
Barry can move fast and he still stand around or still when enemy redirect his own power or try to punch the ground, can't he see enemy move and try to move out of the range.

Only Eobard and other speedsters can stand a chance, even though Barry should have "unlocked his potential" of infinite speed, with the harmony of the forces too. And Despero wouldn't stand a chance if he couldn't "see" that Barry stopped to have a chat.

Remember when Barry would need a pep talk to throw lightning, to jump real high or to save people from a threat, now he just does it on his own and he has confidence in himself. I have to admit I am worried for Season 9, but I loved Season 8 so much and it is easily my favorite season of the series, finally got a Barry close to the comics, took 8 years, but finally got it. Thamk god Eric Wallace came in when he did, if Todd Helbing was still showrunner, this series wouldnt be anywhere near as good as it is rn

They did the best with the CGI budget they had to work with. The viewer ship of the show has only been going down every season meaning they are making less money. I'd love to see the flash on HBO Max as a 10 Episode season show.
@@ParallaxOnline Season 1, 2, 3 and 4 for example they had 23 episodes per season, mega crossover going on and a tight post production time and managed to deliver something much better than they currently are. No, that's not the best they can do with their budget.
@@Luiz.325 most of the cool cgi fights was in the dark and it only looked good because the lightning reflected off the buildings. Effect wise very easy to do. They are simply trying to do much harder effects and I have so much sympathy for the cg artists who spend 10-12 hours a day working on these shots for then people to completely roast the hell out them. Like seriously.
@@ParallaxOnline I fcking disagree. In S3 most of the fight scenes if not all of the episode 3x13 for example were in the day and they were amazing and better than today. They recreated the entire Gorilla City and had a hell of a fight between Flash and Solovar. That scene of Flash running in the water for example in 1x05 is better than this chase of him and Meena in 8x18. Anyway, there is no shortage of examples of scenes like this in the first season.
@@ParallaxOnline I don't have this sympathy thing. I'm a fan and when it's bad I'll talk and when it's good I'll talk too. I don't buy any shit they do on the show. Much less mediocre CGI scenes in the current seasons that are examples of lazy work. I understand some things will not go as expected due to the small budget but most of the time it seems that the production of the series is too lazy to deliver something good.

The suits in this season were the best, but they went a little too hard with the lightning. Imagine if instead of Palpatining Thawne, Barry did something similar to his Injustice 2 super and ran him around, beating him, slamming him into things, and in general just being brutal. He basically relived his worst fear from season 3 here. Something darker would have been appropriate.
