I was mesmerized when i first saw season 1. Could 't believe the production value even just for TV. The impact it had on the tv superhero genre too, really paved the way for others. I always saw superhero tv stuff to be a little naff and niche, but this made it feel more mainstream. Thanks Grant! You're a great talent, the Flash would be nothing and nowhere near successful without you playing him!
Thank you Grant. I had wanted a Flash series since I was a kid. I was super into Arrowverse, and I‘ll never forget that Barry Allen Arrow episode. You were and still are the (perfect) Flash.
Grant went through some long contract negotiations for this final season, so he's probably relieved that he won't have to go through that again. Looks like becoming a father had quite an impact on his decision to end the show at this point. Now he'll have some more time to spend with LA and their daughter, at least until he books his next project
I dont think its even about being a father. I am sure as an actor he wants to explore more. Being tied down to a show for so long doesnt seem fun especially when its a mid tier show at best.
Grant Gustin is his own person and isn’t really The Flash, but whenever I look at him, I’ll always see the hero I grew up with, a hero who inspired me to never give up in spite of all odds. I may not be as fast as The Flash but I’ll be crossing the finish line with him one last time.
The end of the interview was really touching! It's so great knowing that Grant Gustin is all for filling that role for any future Flash because we all know that this isn't the end for The Flash or Barry, just the end of Grant's run as him. :) The show's been among my faves for many years and I'm very grateful for it being around and for the amazing work of everyone involved.
The show became unwatchable after season 3, but Grant Gustin has always been fantastic in this role. I treasure those first couple of seasons and the memories I have of watching their new episodes week to week with my family. Grant will forever be my Barry Allen. My Flash. I look forward to seeing what he does next ⚡
Grant Gustin will forever be the perfect Flash, and won't have serious competition for the best portrayel of Barry for at least another 20-30 years and even then it would be very difficult to even come close to what Grant has done with the character. I feel so sorry for him that he had to work with some very bad and horrible scripts from season 6 onwards when Eric Wallace took control and completely destroyed the whole vibe of the show. I wish they also kept the writers of the first 5 seasons since they knew what they were doing and really prepared and put easter eggs in episodes which would be talked about in the next few seasons, that really required planning and they always managed to pull it off. While the writers from season 6 onwards just went along with it without amy actually planning in advance, made Iris disappear for a full season and even when Iris came back the writers didn't allow Barry and Iris to be a married couple and actually kiss, they made them seem more like friends than a couple which was shameful. If only he had better scripts he would have done wonders with the character.

Thank you Grant Gustin for representing my favorite DC hero! You brought a lot to the character, and brought a lot of joy to me and my family over the years.
The Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl series were what originally got me into comic book media. I'd never even seen an MCU movie, but the Arrowverse got me so interested that I started watching anything to do with comics, and then reading as many of them as I could. While Arrow and Supergirl were both VERY different than their original comics, Grant Gustin truly got close to the heart of what the flash is even in comics. Grant Gustin will always be "my" flash.

His time was well spent, there were ups and downs but he did the best job he could with the writing CW gave him. It’s time for him to venture into new roles, that’s what actors do.
@@josephjackson4889 Hey like Grant said in the video, we may see cameos here and there on CW and maybe even the DCEU as the Flash. Aint nothing gonna be confusing because the multiverse allows all this to happen

Grant went through some long contract negotiations for this final season, so he's probably relieved that he won't have to go through that again. Looks like becoming a father had quite an impact on his decision to end the show at this point. Now he'll have some more time to spend with LA and their daughter, at least until he books his next project
What was he negotiating
Yeah how you know lol
I’m sure he was very happy in the end, Grant got paid big for this final season! As he deserves!
I dont think its even about being a father. I am sure as an actor he wants to explore more. Being tied down to a show for so long doesnt seem fun especially when its a mid tier show at best.
I have an unhealthy obsession over this show that will continue to last for centuries. Thank you Grant for your dedication to being The Flash⚡️😭🙏🏻
'For centuries', I see what you did there 😏
@TMSokoya to me you've been dead for centuries
Grant Gustin is his own person and isn’t really The Flash, but whenever I look at him, I’ll always see the hero I grew up with, a hero who inspired me to never give up in spite of all odds. I may not be as fast as The Flash but I’ll be crossing the finish line with him one last time.
The end of the interview was really touching! It's so great knowing that Grant Gustin is all for filling that role for any future Flash because we all know that this isn't the end for The Flash or Barry, just the end of Grant's run as him. :)
The show's been among my faves for many years and I'm very grateful for it being around and for the amazing work of everyone involved.
He smiles and acts like how he acts in the series 😭😭❤❤
This guy can sing like a nightingale. He's a jack of all trades. 😊
Couldn't agree more till season 3 was nice.
Excatly after season 3 the series went pretty crappy, season 9 has been as good as the first 3
More around 5 but I see ur point 😂
@@bugle5262nah, he was right. Even looking back on season 1-3 as an adult now… it’s not that good, it’s just nostalgia
@@devweiss6422 season 1 and 2 were amazing lmao
What the heck were you watching? This wad a Hallmark-ian love story
True
@@suzygirl1843 true lol
Not true at all with the no kissing shit, they definitely focus on it quite a bit
@@Nevouti.x I meant it was wholesome love story. 10 years form now kids are going to appreciate this series, unlike the fans who were caught up in their hate for West-Allen
I've watched the Series for like I was 13 and now 23, Feels like part of my life was ended and finding the new chapter. Thank you for our 9 years together times. Thank you......
Great interview, he gave wonderful answers. I like the format - no interviewer, only him talking
I will always miss grant as the flash. Really crazy it’s ending. Although we had very awful seasons recently. Grant was always great.
Forever grateful for the 9 years as the Flash… thank you Grant Gustin… RUN BARRY RUN….
Grant we’re going to miss u bro 👊🏿 this finale gonna be amazing . I hope u get so many more roles in the future ❤️
Thank you for being the Flash Grant Gustin.. Love you always ❤ no one could've played it better than you .
I have to play a lot of catch up as I fell off during the season where that guy was zombifying people, and the whole Iris in the mirror dimension.
Thank you Grant for all the time you've put into this show and all the entertainment you've given us. You will always be our Flash.
you honestly didnt miss much solely besides Grant's acting 😂
I sincerely hope you didn't catch up lol the first half of season 6 was the last good Flash season
Grant is the best Flash actor ever! Forever grateful for these 9 years ⚡️
Thank you Grant Gustin for representing my favorite DC hero! You brought a lot to the character, and brought a lot of joy to me and my family over the years.
Thank you for giving us Barry Allen and The Flash ❤️ You really was meant for this character 🥺
I seen this man since Arrow, and since than he still looks the same. I'm going to miss you and the team. Thank you Grant for everything until next time.
Grant was the best thing about this show, perfect casting. Imagine how incredible it could've been with better writing.
Yep..
Its so awesome to hear that he'd still be willing and would want to take on more superhero roles in the future especially taking on the Flash again! He deserves good writing though so hopefully they call him if they get rid of Ezra
Awww my favourite ,I was glued to the series ,thanks for giving us a wonderful show ,you will be forever missed Grant
Thank you 🙏 Grant Gustin it was your performance as the Flash that made me fall in love with the character that is now my favourite superhero so thank you 🙏 to you and the show and everything you’ve done over the last 10 years on the show you’ll always be the one and only Flash to me
This should have been our flash for the movie. Grant for the win. Thank you for every thing that you and the rest of team flash gave us. You are the hereos we will always need.
Man saying goodbyes are never easy. I watched each season at least 5 times(probably more)
Yo good job on portraying the Scarlet Speedster Grant, you'll be missed just like we'll miss Stephen on being the Emerald Archer and Melissa being the Girl of Steel. Hope you get the movie role of The Flash on the rebooted DCU universe.
The CW DC Trinity! Too bad we didn't get Melissa in the last season.
Sorry but grant isn’t going to be the new flash, that’s only going to add more confusing and James Gunn wanted to start fresh. Grant gave us 9 years of portraying the flash.
@@josephjackson4889 Nobody can beat Grant as Barry so going forward I think they should drop Barry Allen entirely and focus on Wally (ideally played by Cameron Monaghan)
@@josephjackson4889 flash can be in the flash film as a cameo tho
I will always love the flash, no matter how bad the writing may have gotten at times, because of the heart and soul Grant put into the character. The Flash has always been my favorite comic character and he brought him to life so beautifully. Thank you so much Grant!
Grant Gustin is always been *THE FLASH* for me and I completely finished the series together with arrow-verse shows.
Grant should totally be in a Crime/Drama show, he'd totally nail playing a detective or cop.
I hope he left without thinking he didnt do a good job , he did a great job !! Come back anytime my guy ❤ the support is always here
Thankyou Grant for bringing this character to life! Regardless of the ups and downs we’ve always loved your portrayal of The Flash & the cast around you on and off the screen, all great people! You deserve to be the one finishing off the Arrowverse! So many great moment we will never forget! ⚡️Flash Family Forever!
The difference between an actor that loves the character and an actor that doesn't is astounding. This is an amazing example of an actor that does. Hell be in our hearts forever
When ever i hear Barry Allen, Grant's face is only thing that pops up in my mind.
Same man
Grant looks so mature here, totally different from his goofy personality that I'm used to seeing. Love him, and I hope to see him more on the big screen, his Flash has so much heart & nuance
Grant, you will always be the Flash to me. I was eleven years old when I started watching your flash, and it has been one the best series I have ever seen, but the story is not completely until we get the CW Justice League moive were all of you come back to fight darkside and save the world and finally have your happiness 😊
He needs his own movie. The dude put in so much for the show. Regardless if you like it he's a great flash. He should've replaced the main guy from the movies
Man what a humble guy…I love Grant as a whole n I wanted so much more for him 😩 I just finished Season 9 of The Flash, man what a journey watching this as a kid till an adult 😳 Time flies when u watchin or doing some you love. ☝️
The first two seasons were great. I used to be obsessed with this show. I was disappointed with the way things went on and from what I've heard it only got worse. But Grant has always been amazing undoubtedly
Damn it's already been 9 years
This show is the reason I started watching live action superhero tv shows
Grant gustin will always be my flash and the arrowverse will be remembered forever😢❤
Best actor of the flash, no one can replace you man, thanks for all the seasons, it was amazing to watch it.
I’m crying like grant will always be the flash in my mind
Still missing the flash... I started it in 2014 and continued up until the end and it's just so weird living without it because I always had the flash every year to watch and enjoy
So sad to see the end of the Arrowverse! But Grant was a fantastic Flash! He really understood who Barry Allen is and I loved seeing Barry’s optimism. If only we had gotten a Green Lantern series so we could have seen him as the Blue Lantern avatar of Hope. It was great to see Ollie and Wally again before the show ended. The cast was so great, every one of them. I’ll miss The Flash.
I hate how it's called arrowverse, the arrow doesn't have powers and is nowhere near the level as batman. It's the flash and the green arrow. Why name the entire verse after the eh character?
Thank you for nine incredible seasons, Grant! Because of you, the Flash is now my favorite superhero! Thank you for making The Flash a great show!!
9 incredible seasons..? Are you kidding me
@@blackmantis3130 yeah more like 3 incredible seasons and 4 watchable ones lol. Not his fault tho
@@TeenPerspektiva there was no incredible season, thats shitty nostalgia making it seem like it was good, fun show to watch tho
@@pastjdzz fun to watch means its incredible.
Other than The Flash from the comics, Grant is the best Flash, in my personal opinion. What a guy, what an actor, one of my all time favorites.
He put his heart and soul, his all, into this character, and really brought it to life, to the best of his own ability. I'll forever be grateful of that, of him, and his performances. Thank you, Grant, so much, always.
I agree.. it is difficult to demarcate where Barry stops and Grant begins.
Wish they did 10 seasons but 9 is okay gonna miss you grant as the flash no one will ever replace you ever😭😭😭😭
one of the most underrated actors of all time. BEST BARRY ALLEN. best flash. hopefully we will see u again in the ssn1-5 costume
omg how awesome would it be if barry came back as henry allen? Or the OG FLASH? I would lose my mind. But Grant will always go down in history as the best portrayed Barry Allen on the CW. His humanity, his worth ethic, his sacrifices, speeches, his love was truly epic.
Thank you for being the best Barry Allen!
When you're this genuine of an actor everyone remembers your name. Barry is in there but Grant brought him to life for us.
i, for one, loved the Flash and will miss it greatly. Wishing Grant the best and happy new beginnings for him.
Really Beautiful interview, and can't believe this wonderful show is ending and the series finale is next week. I love the show, the characters and their warmth as family and friends and the actors. Thank you Grant for these extra ordinary years and being The Flash. Lots of love and gratitude 💖🥰👍👍⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️🌹
Grant is such a amazing actor,I still cry watching the season finale with him and his mom. Hopefully they gave grant some emotional scenes. Either way imma tear up hahaha
Thank you Grant for being the best Flash and you will always be the Flash
I can’t believe there will never be another episode again. I’ve been watching since I was 5 tuning in on tuesdays every week (then wednesdays) and now that won’t happen anymore. Grant Gustin will always be The Flash.
I’m just remembering that video where you can see his audition for the flash. Man that was so good
I have never seen such a brilliant actor get shafted by genuinely horrible writers to this degree before in my life.
We love you Grant, I hope you'll get more opportunities in the future.
Arrow writers say hi lol.
@@coryholmes8903 Right. Arrow writers did the same. Every season wasn't epic.
Henry Cavill and The Witcher
I honestly am so happy for Grant to move on. I love the Flash show, really, but Grant is too great of an actor to not be doing other great projects. I really want to see him in other roles, because he is such a great actor
