Something that WW2 has over Vanguard? The way pistols are held. In WW2, pistols were held with one hand.
That's true but in WAW the Pistols are also accurate because soldiers that time (most the time they did not) cupped the underside of the pistol for help aiming

They hold with one hand and they shoot it sideways to avoid the kickback and maintain the recoil.
sledgehammer went from making the first advanced movement cod to being stuck in creating ww2 cod games
The thing is, sledgehammer has a lot of potential to make good games but they're most always ruined by Activision forcing them to rush or make them do something else they didn't want to do. They were planning advanced warfare 2 but instead had to do WW2.
Blame the fanbase, they kicked up enough of a stink about it, we would've had Advanced Warfare 2 if they just kept their mouth shut

One cool detail I saw is that when you eject shells from the combat shotgun in cod ww2, they are WW1 shells because they have a brass casing, to prevent the damp trench climates from ruining shotgun shells.

Yes it was more accurate in ww2 and custom helmet custom emblems and custom weapon patterns
i mean i can understand warzone but not vanguard, it would have been cool if they gave vanguard operators different reloads and holding styles on everygun and vice versa. for example ww2 operator do a old style reload on the m13 and the captain price doing the modern reload on the stg44

Personally I preferred WW2. The game felt like a new old Call of Duty, if that makes sense.
And over that, I'd prefer World at War.
If they just made WaW in modern graphics, the games could have been better.

The Double-Barreled shotgun is a different weapon in both games. Vanguard has the Russian Double-Barrel, while WWII has the M30 Luftwaffe Drilling Shotgun.

Well it's still a double barrel shotgun by nature, albeit the M30 have the ability to shoot out a rifle round under the two barrels.

BFV launched with the carbine but took a year to add the M1 Garand
there is M1 Carbine in Vanguard......if you upgrade M1 Garand and put stock and barrel with 10 round mag on it.......it becomes M1 Carbine!

I'm glad they learned from ww2 mistakes and included lots of weapons that rarely appear in ww2 shooters

As a DLC not a free weapons in ww2 but in vanguard the NZ 41 and AS 44 are free
The Charlton Automatic Rifle was an extremely underrated weapon, while the AS-44 never entered service therefore we should've not seen them in the game. I'm just frustrated with how the M1A1 uses a drum mag (which it never used) and the PPSH-41 uses a box magazine rather a drum mag. I'm okay with the PPSH-41 having a box mag but the M1A1 with a drum mag is just frustrating, the M1A1 also made it worse on how they ADS with the upper sight rather the normal one, iirc the upper sight are used in a 100m length
AS-44 was barely used in ww2, and they stopped making it in 1946
they added modern tacti-cool reloads to a WW2 game 😂
They even added a revolving cylinder shotgun,a bullpup assault rifle and a laser gun.

Sometimes, i feel like Call of Duty WW2 could either had bad or good gun details than Vandguard, like how is the Type 38 being supposed to had a magazine that looks familiar with Lee-enfield, and even not connecting the RPzB and M1A1 wire's to the electrical system of the launcher except Day of Infamy does
The only problem I have with vanguard is it's handgun positions. If I'm not mistaken, soldiers were trained one handed shooting, not two handed.
Does it mean that soldiers were never supposed to hold it that way at all?

@TreeBastard The operators you play as are trained in different methods. Plus, the two-handed method existed before WW2.

6:57 Volkssturmgewehr 1-5 (present in the video) was semi-automatic, not fully automatic.

if anyone doesnt know, the ppsh42 has a fire control switch inside of the trigger guard not on the side like vanguard says it is
If you see closely, you can see the finger going inside the trigger guard
vangaurds reloads feel like a modern operator going back in time to fight in mw2, it just feels wrong

The guns are louder in Vanguard but the actual sounds themselves sound similar to WW2.

God I still hate the fact they put in a Foregrip on the MP40 despite the magwell itself is a grip.
@@JerichoYeet cus using the magwell as a grip will jam the gun if u hold the magazine, its why in this, they grasp the top of the magwell instead of the mag like in older cods

I'm actually enjoying the game it feels smooth and not clunky like cold war and I'm glad there adding maps from WAW
People say MW is fun but during its prime a lot people were saying MW sucked and we’re going to play BO4 for another year
cold war wasnt clunky, going from mw to cw, they don't feel like the same genre, mw is much more slow paced while cold war is much more fast paced

The pistols in vanguard look like you can’t control the recoil at all, when it is the opposite in ww2.
One thing I do prefer in WW2 is how little it zooms in when you ADS

Not really. The graphics of vanguard are ofc better, the scenery looks more lively too. Ww2 might have a better environment because it’s a bit more gritty to fit that ww2 theme, but other than that there’s not much else going for it
Idk why they had the lee enfield in campaign for vanguard but didnt have it in multiplayer, there’s also the grease gun, m1 carbine, type 99 lmg, browning m1918 lmg, like these are iconic guns guys

What isn't normal is that the shell ejects the wrong way (fixed on release iirc)
Neither of those Thompsons is an M1928 model. M1928 has a charging handle located on the top of the receiver and a Cutts compensator, while these have charging handle on the side and have no muzzle device. Also the rear sights are from M1. If it actually is M1 then it can't use the drum mags.
Is it just me or does that combat shotgun from vanguard have both the hammer down and up when the slide is pulled back? Like, it looks like they’re inhabiting the same space at the same time.

Whenever I play vanguard I just like to pretend that it takes place in an alternate universe where we were the stuck with the same weaponry for much longer but we continued advancing technology which is why they have like reflex sights and stuff but like world war still raged on

Animations: Vanguard for obvious reasons.
Models: Both have high quality models.
Sounds: Vanguard, even though it still has the crappy sounds from WWII, at least some of them are better.
Winner: Vanguard is a big step up from WWII. So it takes the cake.
Agree some of the sounds in vanguard are better especially the M1897 it sounds better than COD WW2 since it sounds like a pop gun
COD WWII gun sound sounds like a great idea for a 1985 game probably if there is, because it sounds like a SHG ww2 game which almost get hated all the time

What? They don’t at all, but irl they are pretty functionally similar or as close as a Russian ww2 rifle is to a cold war era Russian rifle. Basically they were both used around the same time by the same country, it makes sense they are similar and therefore reload similar. it’s not a huge revelation and the animations aren’t nearly the same.
Fun fact: Some of these guns are animated by Falco Blockland.

The MG42 had horrendous recoil due to its firerate, and the PPSH had jamming issues quite frequently

I think that ww2 had more realistic guns such as some bolt action rifles had the ability of trench mags but unlike how you could convert your bar to 50 bmg in vanguard becaus that makes a lot of sense

I feel like some of the Vanguard guns kick backwards a bit too much, in some cases it looks like it would be hitting the operator in the cheek.
Then again, I've never shot anything more powerful than .22LR so I wouldn't know.
If I had to guess it’s because they hold the gun too close to their face. Irl if you hold a rifle or shotgun to your shoulder and close your left eye then you see more of the gun then you do in cod, not really sure why they have it so close but that’s my guess

As a person who has shot a few of the guns the MP40 in vanguard has too much recoil and the WWII version is more accurate than vanguard

The vanguard weapons are really good (aside from some of the attachment options) and have really tasty animations

Models: Both good IMO, some good in WW2 some in Vanguard, I say...45 WW2, 55 Vanguard (but wtf are the M1897's sights in Vanguard?... not to mention that weird dual-hammer bug)
Animations: Both good, but Vanguard reuses too many MW2019 or simply uses too modern animations for a WW2 game (like peestols, are held correctly in WW2 but not in Vanguard)
Gameplay: WW2...Really, microtransactions aside, it was funnier and classic that this big of a mess Vanguard is...Still, OVERALL I think WaW takes the cake...the very last GOOD WW2 cod made...

I rather play CODWWII instead of Vanguard because the older cods aged like fine wine while the newer ones aged like milk. The newer cods are garbage and stale as hell because Activision hates the community. Older cods were more fun and simpler than the newer ones.

There are two versions of the gun: One semi auto and other automatic.
The one thing vanguard has over cod ww2 is the m1 far and is loaded correctly otherwise they are pretty equal to me

Ww2 is so much better the handling is way more realistic and the weapon models are much better and it was way more fun
