The AR-C made sense in Far Cry 5 because it was set in Rural America and a nod to AR-15s illegally converted to full auto. But in Yara, which is basically Cuba stuck in the 1960's, it feels so out of place. It would've been better to leave the M16A1 that was already in the game
I'm seeing some tweaked/reworked animations/sounds/models but there's lots of reused assets - not that there's anything inherently wrong with that, but from Ubisoft it seems like it's either to simplify development or pad out the number of guns. Some stuff just fits FC5's setting much better than FC6's too, like the German ww2 guns, in FC5 they make sense as part of an American gun collector's arsenal, but FC6 is set on a Carribbean island and it's more obvious that they're drag and drop assets. Not sure how much I should be annoyed by that.

I prefer fc5 handguns and some of weapon gunshot sounds. It has that depth and echo just like you mentioned. Make it sounds less "dead". But fc6 mg42 is great.
The graphics in far cry 5 are objectively better than far cry 6 but everything else like recoil feel better in far cry 6. Also, that KSG reload is TOP.

Might be biased but the gun recoil and movement feels so much smoother I'm farcry 5 than 6, good example is the MP 40 when you pan across your screen. Just my opinion.

They just make high poly model, then downgrade (optimize) it for current installment. Then in the next one, Ubi removes fewer polygons and call it an upgrade.
The angle on the Farcry 5 guns never sat right with me. You didn't see enough of the side of the weapon. In my opinion, this made the weapon animation look less powerful.
That's because Tigerfield only shows the guns that are similar. Unless if you're looking for a difference, the animations from 6 looks a bit refined than 5. Try to look carefully next time?
@@jackwallace7306 Put 45ish hours into my playthrough, and I agree. The game just wasn't very good. The gameplay was tolerable. Weapons and their attachments felt equal or superior to their previous versions, thought not by much. Gunplay was atrocious. Only New Dawn had worse gunplay. Music was really good. Setting and environment were also breathtaking. Racing was incredibly fun, and not nearly as bullshit as most games that include racing side modes. Story was shit. And that's the most important part to whether or not I replay a game like Far Cry. The only Far Cry with a worse story was New Dawn. 5 was basically the same level of shit. 4, 3, 2, and even Classic were all better stories. Far Cry 6 is a pretty accurate title, because a 6 is just about what I give it.
That MG42 sound was legendary in FC4, so glad they brought it back for FC6.
I wish they'd bring back all the sounds from 4. They we're way better.
