Royal Purple Injector Cleaner Test

I've seen some other people's videos on this fuel injector cleaner, so I thought I'd put it to the test too. My results weren't what I was expecting. On the plus side, I did obtain a decent bore scope for this video.

I like using Lucas injector Cleaner as an octane booster/cleaner on my vehicles. Add a dosage every 2-3 tanks of fuel. Helps with the MPG a little bit (0.5-1 mpg extra). I don’t know how well it actually cleans the injectors but for how cheap it is to add in, I say it’s worth the little bit of cost I have in it.

But don't you think cleaner injectors would cause a cleaner burn inside the cylinders, in turn cleaning them out at least some? Like breaking up the loose carbon, at least.

So I performed sorta the same test the only difference is I used Seafoam as well in the vacuum line before the test on our 2015 Acadia and when I did that along with the royal purple the pistons look damn near factory new again I’d suggest trying that way and see the difference compared to just royal purple as the product doesn’t really clean the carbon buildup even if it’s making the injectors work better the spark ignition along with current build up if it isn’t designed to give an octane boost to get the hotter ignition it’s not going to break away the carbon
