As promised, here is a follow up with the Wynn's diesel injector cleaner with 20L of diesel rather than the 37L that I did ni this video. th-cam.com/video/b7k79gzj8Fg/w-d-xo.html
What a video brother. The amount of time and effort you put in all of this to make it as "scientifically correct" as possible is insane! Really appreciate it!
I've had the strong engine shaking symptom on startup on my 2.0HDi, I randomly tried Wynn's injector cleaner, and the shaking went away. The car had 160000km when I first started using it, I have used a bottle of Wynn's every 10000km and now the car is at 210000km, no problems what so ever with injectors.
Exactly my experience as well. Quite surprising how much cheaper injector cleaner works better than the rather more expensive ones. I will now also use it every 2-3,000 miles.
Pretty impressive. I might have to try it myself if I can find some in Australia, whyns has been around forever so I guess there is a reason for that. If you keep putting it in the tank multiple times with less fuel it'll probably Get better and better.
It should be getting better with more uses, up to a point of course. I think Wynns recommend every 3rd tank. I will repeat this with less fuel as well.
i poured this into the golf 5 1.9 tdi and i can say it works. from 2800 to 3000 rpm the engine had interruptions when turning on the turbine now after a couple of days of driving it works like new.
Really interesting video and very clear. I`ve been using Redex for about 45 years and swear by the products, especially with the injector cleaners and DPF additives. Thanks
Thank you so much for this thorough test. I’ve been using Forte Products up to now, but tend to be £15-20 a bottle, Wynns tends to be half the price but what’s important is that this stuff is not snake oil and does have *some* benefits and it works! Over long term use I am sure it’ll be very beneficial so will try this product - thanks again
I knew one of the forte guys... he was my collage instructor in motor mechanics ... he knew everything about engine from the theory to practical ... trust me he wouldnt have worked for them after hours if it didnt work he is a straight shooter... busted my chops few times for shoddy work..😂 but i was learning @@garyhawkins-pianoteacherpi6490
Superb work! I wish every channel making videos of engine related stuff were this careful with measurements and claims they make. Instant subscribe from this video alone.
Love to see R being used! :) This Wynns injector cleaner does work, my insignia was having low rpm jumps at idle due to dirty fuel and not using cleaners for a while. Put 1 in the tank and it already cleaned the injectors!
They’re great synthetic products. I had an old motor, I used the engine cleaner fluid and the stop leak fluid. It was all of £10 for both. Worst case I lost £10. After doing some work and checking the engine nuts and bolts and ensuring everything was tightened to spec, replacing any easily accessible leaking gaskets. Using the cleaning engine before an oil change then the stop leak after an oils change - firstly no more leaks on the changed gaskets. Also, no more leaks on the gaskets that were leaking previously. Engine was smooth as butter - car was a merc c240, 97 model - could drive all day without issues. Eventually had to get rid due to it getting to the point where it was being maintained more than drove. Long story short those wynns fluids are decent.
Many thanks indeed for your comment, more than appreciated. I am not trying to knock a product out or something. I had very good results with Wynn' injector cleaner the first time around. It just that at least with my engine the EGR valve did not get cleaned at all unfortunately.
@@moremolecules from my use, I can say the Wynn products are decent. Give it another try when you fill up and I think you’ll get more cleaned. They’re not perfect by any means, but for what they are and what they say they do - they do some of what they claim. I’ve used other additives at three times the cost and they’ve done zip. This was a great vid btw. Love the comparison and graph plotting
Great video thanks. I've just put in my Opel Vivaro. I'm not doing any tests but it's encouraging to see that it does work even if just marginally. With a few treatments hopefully, the injectors will be a lot cleaner.
Yes, it cleans significantly better than nothing, but the effect seems to be ~7% or so. Bear in mind that I put quite a bit of fuel inside, so it was a bit diluted. I will have to repeat it with ~20L to be certain about the effect.
The best injector cleaners are the one's that are approved on the CEC F-98-08 test. Peugeot itself sells an injector cleaner which to my knowledge is rebranded from BASF Keropur D.
Good job. I dumped a bottle of this in my 1.5dci. one injector already failed and yup it's injector no.3 .. hopefully I will use again. Says on bottle to use on every third tank of fuel..👍
Outstanding analysis, well done thank you. In Australia, the Premium diesel is not much more to buy and suppose to have cleaners, etc. I will test Winns and advise, cheers..
@@murriretro430 Ji. One treatment with Winns and a 700km freeway [130kmh] drive and presto. Perfect idle and pulls like a train at 5.9litres per 100 . 2 2 twin scroll neet.
Extremely detailed test. Good use case for the R language for an average user. Best 1.6 hdi channel is yours in my opinion. Would you mind testing the Stanadyne injector cleaner too? I've read rave reviews about that too but couldn't get it in middle Europe.
Hi Rek, thank you for the good words. I generally use R in my normal work and it is just easier to use for these purposes. A bit difficult to start explaining p-values, linear models, etc., so I kept that to a minimum. I will see if I can get hold of the Stanadyne and have a test.
Thank you! The affiliate links do not make a difference to the price, but help with supporting the channel as I get a very small percent of the transaction.
A fascinating and detailed account, thanks for taking the time to prepare this. As someone with not much engine knowledge, what are the main effects of restricted injectors? I gather irregular idling may result but would it affect fuel economy or engine life? Thanks again.
It really depends on how blocked an injector is of course. Generally, there will poor economy and a bit of loss of power, perhaps a bit of smoke as well. There could of course be some vibrations as well, so that may lead to prematurely worn engine mounts and other components.
@@batchrocketproject4720 Worth a try if you are experiencing injector-related problems. It is fairly cheap, so you would not loose too much if it does not work.
Yes, I had a bit of shaking, probably ~3sec on cold startup, never on warm engine. This Wynn's thing stopped it. There was a heatwave around here and I thought it had stopped shaking due to the hot weather, but now they dropped and the shaking has not returned.
It's a very good product for injectors BUT at my 2.0 VW it gloged the fuel rail presure senzor and the fuel regulator senzor with all the debree he cleaned up.I will not ever never use a aditive again after that
I use the Winns injector cleaner on my 1.6 tdci (hdi) Ford Focus,ones/mounth,i use 2 cans for the cleaning one in half tank, and one whith full tank, and the injectors are cristal clean.😁
detailed video as usual!i like to watch your videos,i can learn a lot from it.i wonder if you repeat the treatment shortly after this ,will it help to injector number 3? like.there is some place to improve the results of inj.3 it would be nice to see is wise to use 2 time in a row for a very clogged injectors?
Hi Jozsef, thank you. I would not do 2 times in a row, as you never know it could damage components, Wynn's also only recommend every 3rd fill up. Also, if it is too strong concentration could also potentially damage something. I made a mistake and poured 37L, this probably is ~2x less concentrated than it should be. Most likely (I will try next time) with much less fuel in the fuel tank to begin with and only 20L of diesel inside the improvement would be much better. I would expect the relationship to be inear up to an extent, in other words the more concentrated the better the cleaning.
@@moremolecules Yes, please try a more concentrated run as well. This is super interesting and finally someone is producing numbers instead of just empty talk.
@@nizzan91 I also feel the same, most of the tests are just talking something like yes, power is greater, less fuel consumption, picks up better, etc. I will definitely try the more concentrated version very soon, as I need it for my annual inspection.
@@moremolecules very good video man but it took me down the memory lane. I hurts having to pay £1.85/l nowadays. The lowest price per litre I remember is 85p back in the late 2000s
The best product for Diesel engines in the world hands down is dipatain...it's an Irish company ...it cleans and lubes the whole fuel system...it's 100 percent hydrocarbon..also it lowers emissions and increases fuel economy by 15 percent....and unlike all of the other products on the market...they can back it up.....some years ago a professor in trinity collage Dublin herd of the gains the company were making so he set out to prove them wrong.....his testing was comprehensive and proved that all the claims were just as the company claimed...he wrote a scientific paper and it can be viewed on line....diptain can also be used in petrol and home heating systems that use kerosene......
Your number 3 looks like it needs to come out for a bench clean and check. I fine that it's better to have them bench cleaned and checked. It's cheaper in the long run!
They do not filter absolute everything, it is upto certain microns. Somethings things will get passed through it. When filters are replaced it is not like sterile room with no particals that can enter the fuel lines from the other side. Garages are not like a operating theatre.
Carbon build. Up. When they start to. Lose. There spray pattern I had one. Covered coked up completely use half a litre of two stroke oil into half a tank of diesel once a month if you have a dpf then use 1/3rd
Good question, but unfortunately I have not checked the correction values before/after. They all were < +/-1, or as they should be, even Cyl3 was < +/- 1. I will check for the next try before and after.
Thanks for the video I've tried running liquid moly diesel purge (bypassing diesel filter) straight from the Diesel purge can. To be honest it didn't improve the rough idle (slight white smoke as well ) as the engine warms up the idle improves and stops smoking. I did the injector return flow testing and it showed two injector with excessive return flow. When you do this injector return flow testing do you do it at operating temperature or slight warm up. I get different results when slight warm to operating temperature.
Hi Tony, the before and after measurements were done at the same conditions, I mean as much as I can make them exactly the same. I get the engine pretty warm and in operating temperature. I do my normal 40min drive around town and a bit of motorway as well. I put the car in the garage and start measuring straight away. Both pre/after were done with the same route and driving time. Unfortunately, it will be way too much of a faff to do one measurement, then drive 30-40min and then do another measurement. I do the three measurements one after another, so the engine will get slightly colder with the second and third measurement. You can kind of notice this in the numbers, the first one (for all 4 injectors) is always a bit higher than the 2nd and 3rd measurement, i.e. returns more hot when slightly less warm engine. As an absolute measurement, this will not be too good, but works well as comparing before and after as both are affected by the same thing. Basically it is relative experiment, does it return less fuel or not and for that it is OK. It takes me ~1h-1.5h to do the 3 measurements with the 3x3min running time of the engine. You coiuld try with the Wynn's. My previous experiment with BG245 did nothing in terms of fuel returned with the same testing regime (th-cam.com/video/WZRwFliZl8g/w-d-xo.html). Also it really matters what has clogged the injectors, if it is something that can be dissolved then there will be an improvement, but if it say mechanical in the injector itself then there will be no improvement.
For the rough idling I would say to check and potentially clean the EGR valve. It may be sticking a bit which will always give rough idle. Because it only costs time, maybe a bit for carb cleaner, it is worth trying (th-cam.com/video/wTQtVJEqGXI/w-d-xo.html).
I’m having some issues with the idling wandering about for the first 20 secs . Then good all day. But I do sense there is some engine shake going on. Would it hurt to put a bottle in every fill up for 2-3 times ?
Good question. I would not do it one after another. Do it for example every other fill up. The stuff that are in these bottles might damage some of the rubber components in the system if too much oncentration is used, say high pressure pump or other rubber sealing bits and pieces.
@@moremolecules I think my issues have come from lack of use . In 2021 I did a total of 5000 miles . At one point , the car wasn’t really used for 4 months.so when I had the car serviced after 5000 miles . I didn’t have the fuel filter changed . Apparently Kia Diesels are known to be bad with fuel filters. So I should have changed it , regardless of the miles. I might now have clogged injectors as a result .
@@RogerThat2021 Yeah, I did the same in 2021, only ~4-5k miles, covid and all. It is worth putting a few cans of the cleaners and see if it helps. Change the fuel filter before that, so to be on the safe side of things. That is the reason I change my diesel filter every year, no matter how many miles I have travelled. They recommend every 40,000miles, but that is way too many for me.

I had leaking injectors and intake manifold and also had that smell on the cabin, I don't remember if that was the exact cause but I remember after I fixed that the smell stopped
Yes, well, there were a few more litres in the tank, as it was not completely empty. I only topped up the 37L and I approximately ended up at the same empty level, but might have been a bit lower at the end, difficult to tell. I have always done consumption calculations on mine (full to full) and measuring how many miles/km I have travelled. On average my consumption is ~5.5L per 100km, but it varies, in winter more and in summer on longer journies a bit less. I think the best I ever achieved was 4.3L per 100km. Worse I think ~7-8L per 100km.
I have 1.5 dci engine with 175,000km I used this product and can see the difference, engine is more responsive but I notcied lately that the car shakes for example I have been city driving for more than an hour and involves a lot of clutching primarily to traffic, is it the injector or is it the clutch on its way out? Like from a stop handbrake, when getting the biting point and applying gas, the car feels like its going to stall.
Great video mate.... like your deadication... looks like same engine in my fiesta... was running Japanese cars last 10 years.. so my pug knowlage ends with the 205 😂
Yes that is also possible, but the instructions on the can where not like that. I suspect with higher concentrations it would be better, but one has to be careful with the seals within the high pressure pump with these concentrations.

17:35 I think it would be better to measure ml per stroke instead of per minute because if the engine idle is even a bit different, it will change results of this measurement a lot. That would require having a scan tool with ability to record RPM during the test, though.
The measurements were always on hot engine, 30-40min drive, idle should be relatively the same. I agree that it can be done even better, but no one has the time to perfect this test, especially me unfortunately.
@@moremolecules You're doing great work! I was only adding an idea for future improvement if you do further testing. That would only require scan tool with abilitity to save RPM over time. I'm using OdbEleven with out VW and even that's enough to record the RPM.
I have a Volvo V70 D2 (D4162T) which I guess is similar to this engine. I have strange noise coming only during acceleration and when hot following the rev of the engine. The noise sounds like someone is tapping on an anvil but it completely stops when I let the throttle go. I have changed the timing belt, water pump and the pulley. I have also changed the accessory belt and its tensioner. I have also detached the accessory belt to check if it is the generator but still the same noise. Would it be possible that this sound is coming from the diesel injectors? The car has 160000KM on it
Hi Ola, I would have a look at the turbo for the under acceleration noise. Have a look at heat shields ect., if something is not vibrating. It could be a valve, but difficult to diagnose like this. Does it happen only under load or revving it stationary also happens?
@@moremolecules It only happens under load, revving stationary does not trigger it. Sitting in 4th gear and accelerating from 1500rpm clearly triggers it and follows the rpm all the way up. On higher rpms its like a speedy tap ticking noise.
@@olamansson2727 It could be hydraulic valve lifters or a tooth off with the belt. I would re-check the belt for correct positioning first. Maybe wrong about that though.
@@olamansson2727 It could also be a belt or pulley whistling or the water pump. I would have someone to rev the engine and you can listen where it is coming from, if it can be replicated from just revving the engine. I do not think it can be the high pressure pump, but you never know.
i just want to add that i buyed one of the same brand, and from what i read in the instructions its says around every 10 000 km we should use one of this. not sure this was said in the video, i dont remember heard. im going to test this week this wyn diesel extreme injector, its the black box, not the purple on this video.
Yes, the manufacturer usually will say that this needs to be done every 10k. Yes, there are many products, so I cannot try them all, it is at the end of the day one single guy with one car!
@@PT_Master_Chief Yes, I will have a few more, it is just time that prevents me. At the end of the day it is a very small channel with one guy doing eveything, not that I complain ;-)
So, did you test liqui moly yet? Or some other diesel cleaner? Need to know, if I should go with wynn's, or some other diesel cleaner for the same engine 😁
Haha, unfortunately, I have not yet. I have all the components, but my regular work takes precedence and has been hectic recently. Maybe in a month or two, probably.
You could have had a more accurate measurement by having 4 identical measurement tubes and putting all the liquid from one injector the measurement tube before finally measuring the total amount. However, the differences between the injectors were big enough that even much less accuracy would have been totally fine already.
Am I correct in calculating that this is ~8.2 L/100km? Seems a bit much for 1.6HDi, but it is 145bhp. That is quite powerful. With mine I get ~5-6 L/100km, but really depends on the speed of the car and length of travel and mine is only 92bhp. If there are roadworks and speed is reduced to 50mph (80km) for a prologed periods of time I do get even below 5.
I have an intermittent depolution fault light that seems to clear when I add Wynns extreme diesel cleaner...Twice I've added it and twice the light is out the next day but this only seems to be fleeting as it generally comes back a month or so later...Do you think injector cleaner might be worth a try? 1.6 hdi 90...
For the price it is worth a try, but I would also check if the EGR valve is not dirty and potentially clean it. That might get rid of the depolution fault.
@@moremolecules cheers, the EGR is high on my list...Should have done it before its service...Incidentally the depolution fault showed up just after a cam belt change at 89,000 miles.. I cleaned the maf sensor myself but the egr looks a lot more awkward.. My fault codes were p1351, p0104 and p0234..
@@al100ad the cambelt service might be coincidental. The P1351 is likely to be related to the glow plugs, one or several are not working, so you may want to replace them. The P0234 maybe be related to high boost, so probably the turbo solenoid is stuck at the left side of the back of the engine. You maybe be getting all these from that.

Here's a great tip for everyone: remove your injectors and put the tip in a ultrasonic cleaner, clean them so that the tips are super clean. Then, do what's in the video, use injector cleaner to flush all the dirt which the ultrasonic cleaner cannot remove. It'll be perfect. Tried it, runs perfect.
Hey, before like 3 months i had commented on a video of you with egr remove. I removed the egr and now i read in forums that removing the egr will clog the dpf. Is this true ? They say the egr is working in the dpf regen phase
Not too sure about the relationship between the EGR and the DPF regen. As far as I know it should not be a problem to regen with blocked EGR and it should not clog the DPF. I might be wrong on this one as I have not looked into it too much. It depeds on the conditions needed for the DPF regen and if working EGR is part of that. The EGR is there only for the nitrous oxides, it does not do anything for the carbon, the carbon does not burn and it will still go to the DPF. Whether EGR is blocked or not, same amount of carbon will go through the DPF.
3 ปีที่แล้ว +1
You can block the egr valve with a fap without worries. I noticed this on my Peugeot 206. Before the egr blocking, the car regenerated every 250 kilometers approximately. After blocking the egr, regeneration takes place approximately every 400 kilometers. Result in less dirtying and the consumption at stabilized speed (below 2000 rpm) is improved. No improvement in consumption during acceleration phases or on motorways above 100 km / h.
Don't trust these forums. EGR operation will put down combustion quality in the cylinders and will also push dirty build up in the intake manifold. When you remove the egr you're preventing intake manifold to get dirty and enhancing a lot the combustion. As the quality of the combustion is reduced the more soot is produced and the more the DPF will get blocked
@@tozzi32 Many thanks tozzi32, really appreciate your reply. The EGR gasses will reduce combustion temperature and hence the produciton of NOx and I have always been on the opinion that EGR should be kept on these vehicles. If one remaps the ECU then it is a different matter.
Yes, I might eventually do that as the cleaners will not go that far with cleaning them. For the moment it seems to have worked and I will try a more concentrated version to see if this further improves.
hm... it didnt really unclogged it, why didnt you run it again in higher concetration? Do 20 L like it said... and perhaps not all returns should be equal, maybe its normal from the factory that injector 3 returns more ? Not all metal pipes are the same length, does it matters'. Also, i cant buy it anywhere where i'm from, i only have STP products... hope they work as well
Hi skyliner, well it did unclog them and the data produced supports that. Now, it was not by a huge amount. Yes, I completely agree that they might not be returning equally and as you suggest N3 might be like that from factory. I should have done this when I got the car, but I was not mechanically that savvy at the time. I did not want to run the 20L straight after the first one. Who knows if too much of the stuff could do something to the diesel pump. I left a few tank fulls in between and currently I am running the 20L and will have the data and video soon. Wynn's is everywhere and I am really surprised you cannot get it. I will try the STP products later in the year. All the best.
I dont get diesel injector cleaners. Common rail diesels operate at 30000psi. Theyre effectively the most powerful pressure washer ever. If carbon deposits are still blocking your injector after a wash like that this stuff isnt going to do anything. Even the old IDI Diesels ran at 1600psi which is your typical Karcher power, and thats literally what you blast grime off your patio with.
Use half litre of two stroke oil into half a tank of diesel your welcome this can also cure sticky injectors I use a litre a month best stuff for cleaning injectors and sticky injectora
Yes I will, but my problem is that I only have this car to test on. Problem is that if I hit the maximum I can clean with Wynn's, it will be a bit misleading if the others do not work, say Forte. I should probably investigate if there is similar 1.6HDi around me and do several of these tests.
This is not true at all. The p-value that I showed incorporates the error. The p-value shows, taking into account the variance or variability, is this results better than expected by chance alone. Being so low, 10e-09, means this is extremely unlikely to be due to chance alone. In other words, there is an extrmely small chance or this being just error. So small chance that you have to repeat this experiment more than a bilion times and expect this to happen only once by chance alone, or due to an error.
That Wynn's stuff is no good... Tried it... Makes no difference. What you need is Oxytane.... It greatly improves the Air Release properties in the fuel. If you could see inside your fuel tank... You would see foam more then just fuel. Oxytane dosing.... 1ml per gallon of fuel. You will notice an immediate difference in performance. Engines lose fuel economy by atleast 10 % by the first 5000 miles.
@@moremolecules lol.... Test Oxytane? No need to test.... As soon as you hit 2nd gear you will laugh at the performance restoration. All other fuel cleaners are a marketing scam.
I do not think the rapeseed oil can dissolve carbon or particles and it will not be too good for variety of rubber seals. But you never know, it might oil the different parts in the injector.

Over long term use I am sure it’ll be very beneficial so will try this product - thanks again
Wynn’s own Forte.

Wow the effort this guy puts into this video
Ha, thank you for the comment, appreciate it and someone appreciates the effort.
Love to see R being used! :)
This Wynns injector cleaner does work, my insignia was having low rpm jumps at idle due to dirty fuel and not using cleaners for a while.
@@moremolecules so, how did it go with ~20L, did you try?

Good job. I dumped a bottle of this in my 1.5dci. one injector already failed and yup it's injector no.3 .. hopefully I will use again. Says on bottle to use on every third tank of fuel..👍

Hi Rek, thank you for the good words. I generally use R in my normal work and it is just easier to use for these purposes. A bit difficult to start explaining p-values, linear models, etc., so I kept that to a minimum. I will see if I can get hold of the Stanadyne and have a test.

Also if you have a stop start diesel turn it off nothing worse for your injectors
Excellent work, sir.
Excellent video brother. Thank you for your informative comments.
Many thanks for the encouragement, appreciate it!
@@moremolecules Thanks, I will give Wynns a try on next refuel of my 2005 diesel Mercedes.

great video mate, I appreciated the effort you put into it! 👊
Excelent job, I'm going to try that cleaner. My engine shakes all the time.
Yes, I had a bit of shaking, probably ~3sec on cold startup, never on warm engine. This Wynn's thing stopped it. There was a heatwave around here and I thought it had stopped shaking due to the hot weather, but now they dropped and the shaking has not returned.
It's a very good product for injectors BUT at my 2.0 VW it gloged the fuel rail presure senzor and the fuel regulator senzor with all the debree he cleaned up.I will not ever never use a aditive again after that
Yeah, the muck needs to go somewhere. It should be manually cleaned rather than with these things.

Who here remembers the time diesel cost only £1.32?
Good one, I remember when it was 80p even
@@moremolecules very good video man but it took me down the memory lane. I hurts having to pay £1.85/l nowadays. The lowest price per litre I remember is 85p back in the late 2000s
@@JWL-UK Yeah, I vaguely remember the 80-82p one in the very early 2000s, but I was not driving at the time.
During Covid lockdown it went to 98p a litre for petrol near me. They've more than made up for it since though 🙄
It's currently £1.38 in ASDA in Cornwall. Was £1.35 the other day. 😮
Thank you for the comment. I only tested whatever was the easiest to buy from the auto shops. I will check the dipatain.
Your number 3 looks like it needs to come out for a bench clean and check.
I fine that it's better to have them bench cleaned and checked. It's cheaper in the long run!
I completely agree. It is still though
How are injectors getting clogged with fuel filters in the way?
They do not filter absolute everything, it is upto certain microns. Somethings things will get passed through it. When filters are replaced it is not like sterile room with no particals that can enter the fuel lines from the other side. Garages are not like a operating theatre.
Carbon build. Up. When they start to. Lose. There spray pattern I had one. Covered coked up completely use half a litre of two stroke oil into half a tank of diesel once a month if you have a dpf then use 1/3rd
Pressure in these injectors is so big not enought to clean them by just spraying fuel?
Yeah, it is big enough for quite a few thousand miles, but eventually a few bigger particles will block them.
how much are the corrections, and in particular that cyl.3 should have the biggest value if i am not wrong
Good question, but unfortunately I have not checked the correction values before/after. They all were < +/-1, or as they should be, even Cyl3 was < +/- 1. I will check for the next try before and after.
On the description of the cleaner says: For best results use it on every third tank of fuel.
Yes of course, if you use it often then it might keep it cleaner for longer.
Dzieki !!! Dobry film
wow impresive measurment and data analysis
Well explained and good use of stats in R!
Ahh, yes, thank you well spotted.
@@moremolecules thanks for that.

725km with 37liters?HDI power
Anyway thanks for the review seems like a good product

It seems like a clutch rather than injectors, but difficult to say without driving it.
@@moremolecules ya, my mechanic said before the clutch seems a bit hard than usual, but it is still ok to drive he said.

If it is 1.6 TDCi fiesta, it is the same engine, pretty much the same engine as in the 1.6 D Mini Cooper, Mazda 3, Volvo, Suzuki, Citroens.
If possible when doing a fuel.filter change add some into the filter for better results

@@moremolecules Will re-check the belt and timing. Would the High Pressure Fuel Pump able to cause similar sound?
@@olamansson2727 It could also be a belt or pulley whistling or the water pump. I would have someone to rev the engine and you can listen where it is coming from, if it can be replicated from just revving the engine. I do not think it can be the high pressure pump, but you never know.

You have to change the fuel filter first, trust me
You could have had a more accurate measurement by having 4 identical measurement tubes and putting all the liquid from one injector the measurement tube before finally measuring the total amount. However, the differences between the injectors were big enough that even much less accuracy would have been totally fine already.
You are absolutely right, I did not think about collecting them together. There is always a next time and many thanks for the suggestion.
I get 670km out 55liters 1.6hdi 145BHP. today ordered injection seals.
I'm always driving a cold motor top speed is 100/80km . I still have to pull out the EGR and injection seals. That could contribute to the problem.
@@moremolecules Thanks, the car is running fine and I really wouldn't know anything was wrong apart from the De-pollution light, it did happen years ago but a good run sorted it out. Would using premium diesel have the same effect?
Yes to some degree. THere will be more detergents in the premium fuel, so in the long term probably better to use premium, but I am still a bit sceptical, as no one tells you what is inside and if it really works.
So, what is wrong with No.3.
Good question, I do not really have earlier data on that one, so it could be slightly blocked, manufacturer's fault, that is Bosch, or just worn out.
In my area, I did not find same name like the product you used. I found "wynn's diesel+plus+treatment". The same color and size of the bottle. my wynn's product Will he do the same thing?
Maybe, difficult to tell if the components inside the bottle are the same. Try it and see if it helps, they are not too expensive these bottles.
what car do you have? i will also buy it. 450 miles on 37 liters? i get half of this
1.6HDi Peugeot Partner. I get ~5L/100km on average, depends on the time of year of course. I have gone to ~4L/100km as well once.
VEG OIL ALSO WORKS WELL
Have you changed injector No3 yet?
Hahaha, no I have not yet. Probably it would be a good idea to refurbish them all, but it will be quite a bit of work.
is it a no-no to use wynn's in a car with a DPF?
I have not heard that it might be detrimental, but if I were you I would check the manufacturer's label. As far as I know it should be safe with DPF.
a want to do diesel purge on 1.6e-hdi but im not sure if the gren and white marked lines are feding and return pluged in fuel filter go in to the purge botle or are there other lines any answer please
As far as I know these are the only lines, but I do not know the e-hdi that well.
@@Jani9238 yes but why
Best is to put em out and send it to a restore company. after there are like new
Yes, I might eventually do that as the cleaners will not go that far with cleaning them. For the moment it seems to have worked and I will try a more concentrated version to see if this further improves.
Where do you put the cleaner?
My apologies, I should have said it. You put it in the fuel tank, preferably nearly empty fuel tank and top up with fuel.
@@moremolecules. Thank you very much.
in your windscreen washer bottle
@@frankw9836 I doubt it
Pour carefully into CD player
hm... it didnt really unclogged it, why didnt you run it again in higher concetration?
All the best.
is this engine similar to 1.5 blueHDI 2022?
Well, kind of similar, but not that the same. I cannot say for certain, but the injectors should benefit from the same treatment.
I am completely with you on these points. Huge amounts of pressure should clear any specs of dust or whatever is in there.
Brilliant video thank u 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Many thanks indeed 👍
Wynn's and redex the only one's that work 😎
Can you try this with amsoil product
Yeah, I probably could. I will have to look at the amsoil product and see.
bro seriusly? once in 102 kkm? you suppost to use every 5 or 3 thousands km in your car for keep it clean
Ah, yes, that what states on the can. I did not say it should be used every 102kkm, I used it only now, not that this is how it is supposed to be.
Redex also do a very good diesel injector cleaner.
Yes, that would be on the list as well for the next try after the Liqui Moly
Use half litre of two stroke oil into half a tank of diesel your welcome this can also cure sticky injectors I use a litre a month best stuff for cleaning injectors and sticky injectora
Yeah, maybe. I have heard this before, but have not tried it yet. Maybe I should....Thanks for the advice.
Very good video. I think u should try liqui moli Diesel purge, this will help on injector no2 .
Yeah, liqui moli is the next thing I am going to try.
@@moremolecules thanks,Can you do before and after readings with your scanner when you use the liquid Molly diesel purge?
Great video. Why would someone who knows so much abot engines and is so good with them own a peugeot though??
Haha, I like Peugeots, there is no problem with them and I can buy them cheap when people think they are bad. All the better for me
Can you try forte 😁
Yes I will, but my problem is that I only have this car to test on. Problem is that if I hit the maximum I can clean with Wynn's, it will be a bit misleading if the others do not work, say Forte. I should probably investigate if there is similar 1.6HDi around me and do several of these tests.
try redex cheap diesel additive, I think its like 2-4£ per 250ml bottle, interested if it's a scam
Yeah, I think I'll do Liqui Moly first and then Redex.
As I see only injector #3 did 1 milliliter difference, the rest is more like an error...
Thank you for that, I will investigate and see if I can test this oxytane.
@@moremolecules lol.... Test Oxytane?
No need to test.... As soon as you hit 2nd gear you will laugh at the performance restoration.
All other fuel cleaners are a marketing scam.
@@moremolecules test your engine with an Engine Polygraph before and after with Oxytane.
Find the problems before stripping parts off.
what about rapeseed oil instead of this ?
I do not think the rapeseed oil can dissolve carbon or particles and it will not be too good for variety of rubber seals. But you never know, it might oil the different parts in the injector.
No two stroke
Wynns works
Haha, yes it does.
Try liqui moly diesel purge
Yes, I will think about how it can be hooked up to my engine.
Good job ! Its working but not exactly amazing. But its cheap.
