Beyond skyrim plans on making almost all of tamriel (also roscrea and atmora) accesible in Skyrim (besides, valenwood and summerset (there are other mods attempting to implement these)). But man imagine one day you get to visit all of tamriel in skyrim in vr. also there are attempts at making smell-o-vision, wind, touch and other sensations into vr and if modders implement these into Beyond Skyrim imagine going to red mountain feeling the hot wind and the smeel of burning lava all while a cliffracer bites at your ankles. tho this will probably happen in the year 2050 or smth, but still imagine.

With Oblivion itself (not a Skyrim mod) I got depth perceptive stereoscopic 3D in Oblivion working with an application called reshade running on rokid glasses. Way lighter glasses than VR, no head tracking, I just look around with the mouse while the screen stays in front of my eyes. I'm liking it better than VR.

For many years I neglected to play Skyrim because I really know what it was and didn't care, that was until January 4th when I bought Skyrim VR on sale after watching a few videos about it over time, I have a pretty light mod list (only 33 mods), but I've currently got 74.5 hours in the game, most of which came from the first 3 weeks of owning it, it is hands down one of the best VR games, and it's already the one I've put the most time into, I regret not getting it sooner
Yeah when i first approached the cliffside in Beyond Skyrim, looking over the entire province of Cyrodiil i wanted to cry tears of nostaglic joy. Idk why but i wasn't prepared lol. I guess it's because i didn't watch videos hyping it up or anything. I just kinda wandered into the mod like "Oh hey, they remade Bruma? My favorite city from Oblivion? If Beth are just going to keep releasing Skyrim every few years, I wish they would make good on their pre-launch promise and do the rest of the world as well
Beyond Skyrim Bruma is so cool. I role played that my Skyrim VR character was a descendent of my Oblivion character who was a mage. Being able to go to Frostcrag Spire was so cool
Beyond Skyrim is still going strong. No scope creep, they intended the ridiculous scale from the start. But yes, it is a "Take several years just to finish 1 city" kind of mod.
for those still searching the comments, the face bug in engine has been there forever, some mods can just do that for some reason. and secondly beyond skyrim bruma (the oblivion type mod he is creating) is part of a bigger project to bring all of skyrim into tamriel called beyond skyrim. bruma was a pre release of the bigger cyrodill which is why some of the quests bug out and the map is unfinished in some areas.
I'm getting second-hand nostalgia watching this. :) And if all skyrim mods are compatible with the VR version, that means we'll soon be able to go back to Morrowind in VR too! :D
the way you feel about this game i feel for BL2 vr i spent my middle school years farming bosses in that game now i can really step into that world and experience it a whole new way

Steam VR’s environments has a recreation of the Imperial City with assets straight from Oblivion. It’s just the exteriors, but all the districts are connected with no load screens.
Skywind and Skyblivion are projects that are remaking the relevant games in the Skyrim engine, original stories and time. The Beyond Skyrim teams (Cyrodil, Black Marsh, Elsweyr, Hammerfell/High Rock) are reimagining those places at the time of Skyrim. Beyond Skyrim were different teams doing different projects but over time the Beyond teams started coming together and sharing assets. And then they all started sharing assets with SW and SB too. So now these teams have a massive cache of assets created by dozens or hundreds of fans that they all share. I don't think any of the teams changed from one project to another... they all started as separate teams.
Theres a new real weapon physics mod currently being worked on for skyrim vr and it looks like it'll make combat much like blade and sorcery so keep an eye out for it, I'd love to see your reaction to it
I've always ended up spending 20+ hours trying to set up all the mods for Skyrim and then playing for maybe 10 before the instability of my mods makes the game unplayable with CTDs. Started using the Wabbajack mod pack installer and it works much better having premade and pretested mod lists instead of trying to slap together my own.
Beyond Skyrim is creating ALL of Tamriel in Skyrim itself during the 4th era (plus a couple of islands north of tamriel itself). Skyblivion is a remake of oblivion in Skyrim's Engine. Skywind is a remake of ESIII: Morrowind in the Skyrim Engine.
