All your doing is showing your hand that you don’t know how a dct works. It doesn’t have a torque converter. I assume you know that. That’s why it is “clunky” because there is a direct connection between the throttle and the momentum of the car. You are trying really hard to be edgy with these reviews.
I've driven tons of cars with DCTS. I have only been in 1 car with as clunky as an experience as this one which was the Nissan GT-R of the earlier generations of the R35. I'm not being "edgy" I'm being honest it shouldn't be that clunky.
@@PerformanceOnWheels I’ve driven my buddies mk6 R32 and I’ve ridden in a newer s3 with a dct. The forte is compatible to both of them. You just don’t like the way it engine brakes. But even if I go out and put my manual car in first gear, take it to 3-4K and go on an off the gas a lot it will do the same thing. First gear has the biggest difference in car speed vs. rotational mass of the clutch. The “jerkiness” you describe when the car engine brakes will reduce significantly at greater speeds. If I’m going 30mph down the road, and do that same procedure. It’s not as dramatic as you say. Pretty sure you also said the forte also has 8 gears. So it makes you sound less credible.

I paid 2200 for the GT2 instead.
Sure did!
@specialk4006rich people go through cars like we do tennis shoes.
Those exhaust farts between gear shifting sound awful!!!
Who the heck runs a dig with 1 hand on the wheel...your making us look bad with that. I run 4.96 0-60 on Dragy, other non modded cars have run 6.3xx even Motor trend runs 6.4xxx. you don't have a driver mod at all 😂😂😂
You need 2 hands on the wheel for a 6 second automatic car? Nothing to do with a driver mod on an automatic vehicle from a dig that doesn't have launch control.
@@PerformanceOnWheels watch me launch the car and see the difference. But it's called brake boosting from the stop. And then it's called keeping the car straight. Which from that rear shot, it wasn't.
@@thefastforte2854 yea facts lol a dct does 0-60 in 6.2-5.9 seconds easy
You lost to a V6 Chevy Silverado ?? 😂 How is that even possible?
Bro blew my doors off
@@PerformanceOnWheels let's just hope he was modded lol. The power to weight ratio wouldn't add up for him to blow your doors off 😂. 4800lb V6 Silverado with 285hp vs a 3000lb forte gt with 201hp.
Idk man it was just a single cab short box base as can be
Going through the gears lmao in a DCT.
What else would you call it?
You have one hand on the wheel. Your not a performance car driver you wouldn't have a habit of doing that even if it was a Prius
I haven’t heard anyone use “super-this” or “super-that” as much as Austin when describing something since the last time my 12-year-old daughter had a bunch of her friends here for a sleepover. Work on expanding that vocabulary, Austin…right now it’s nails on a chalkboard 😬
In our 4 millions views on our videos. Can't say I've ever heard this one.
@@PerformanceOnWheels That only proves how many poor vocabularies there are out there. I do voiceovers for a living…and I’m not trying to disparage you. Take another listen and count how many times you use the word…it borders on comical. Just offering some constructive criticism…you can accept it or not🍺
Yeah this cars known to go as low as 6 seconds lol plz don’t make this car look bad ! Ppl don’t understand, manual is only better if you’re good at driving one. If you’re “ok” just do dct cuz you’re gonna tear this car up over time
