We bought a 2023 gravity gray Forte GT2 a couple of weeks ago. We love it!!!!!!!
As a former owner of a 2012 Kia Forte EX who drove it up until 2021, I feel like I made a huge mistake by trading it in for a 2021 Honda Accord 1.5T. I’m this close to trading in that disappointment for the Forte GT.

I got a 23 sporty blue manual, love it so far. The only thing I would say you trade for a regular car is noise. Gts are loud.

i dont understand kia. they give wireless chargers on the fully loaded models but with wired carplay. how does that make sense??
Because you don’t plug your phone into a charging port for CarPlay. You plug it into the car USB port which connects it to the car.
@Lori Raiti kia has wireless carplay in other vehicles.
I had it in a rental before I got my 2023 forteGT and its annoying because the android auto disconnects constantly regardless of the cord you use

Ì bought a gt. Lighter and with a better center of gravity. I will upgrade the sound system. Don’t understand why u guys keep saying that the gt2 is better than the gt. More heavy (~40 lbs) and with a higher CG (center of gravity) coz of the sunroof
And the torsion rigidity of the chassis is less (against the sunroof)
Do you get winters where you’re at since you are on a forte GT. And what kind of or which brand of tires do you run on yours?
What's the difference between the 2022 kia forte gt & the 2023 kia forte gt??
none at all, same drive train, buttons, cabin interior same everything. don’t fall for the 2023 when you could buy the 2022 for probably $1,000 cheaper

idk how to check for the oil life on this model :(
The oil life isn't good for being a gdi engine. Definitely needs a change no later then 3 to 4k miles depending on driving styles.
At this price point, I would rather buy a K5 base trim which costs the same but has everything bigger and better. Forte only makes sense when bought under $23k
This is 2022..nothing is cheap unless u want roll up windows and basic radio with no fancy looking seats for 14,000 😆
Id rather buy a Forte Gt than a base k5 lol . Higher trim level for same money
Why buy a Base k5 it’s mainly just bigger cargo, good for a family of 4 bruh, ain’t nobody looking for that or needing that
That's what I thought lol but I'm actually thinking I should've just got a fully loaded Forte GT instead of a base K5 GT-Line. I still love my K5 but it's so sporty looking I'm mad I can't drive it faster 😅
You are quite mistaken, the K5 is not anywhere near as good as the GT2
Does it have a heated steering wheel?
No. There is no option for a heated steering wheel in the Forte model Line.

Your review was going great until 10:36 you say no rattles. Unfortunately, I have a 2023 KIA FORTE GT1 which is the 6-Speed Manual. There are vibration 📳 noises coming from under the Air Conditioning Controls. Also, there are rattles on the right passenger side seats which the dealers still can't figure out what it is. Plus, even though this car is damped rather well, there still is a TON of road noise and car noise like pebbles hitting the wheel fender. Don't get me wrong, I love my little tiny KIA FORTE GT. But it has its big flaws in the noise level. Overall, good review!! If you get a microphone with the little muffs, you'll sound a lot more professional since the quality of the video and the camera shots were very good. Have a blessed day!!!

Road noise is about average for this class of car. I've owned Civic, Corolla, Elantra, and Chevy Cruze diesel over the the years...My Chevy Cruze diesel was the quietest with road noise and this Forte GT is pretty close.

SHOULD NEVER RUN REGULAR GAS IN IT
Why?
I should rephrase that, I will never run regular unleaded gasoline in my turbocharged car. I’ve been running non ethanol fuel in my car now that it’s available in my area, 90 octane runs like a champ. Gas is not Gas if it’s all the same why soo many different grades???
