Nice job
Always love Grendel content. Thank you!
Thank you!!!
Keep those Grendel videos coming, I just recently purchased a PSA 20” upper and I’ve been running it with Hornady custom 123 SST and I’m so looking forward to taking some whitetail with it , I’m enjoying your content..
I enjoy my Grendel’s lol
some promising loads
Yeah I can deal with that from a sub $100 barrel lol
Thank you. Some groups really opened up. But that hunting choice would be my pick.
I’m gonna try the elds and some gold dots soon.
@@thegundungeon Excellent. I am working on load development for my SFAR 16" 308 with 150 SST. I finished the Staball Match. I should probably just stick with it. MOA, 2670s, low SD/ES.
But I have BL(C)-2, CFE223, H4895.
I have never harvested with SST.
I typically prefer 165/168 or 180s for 308.
But my local shop has a great buy on 150s. So why not. I got over 2900 out of my 26" 700. And accuracy was even better than SFAR.
@@guardianminifarm8005 cfe223 does awesome for speed in shorter barrel 308’s
@@thegundungeon Appreciate that. I have the H4895 & BL(C)-2 loaded and ready for testing. Look forward to results. Any or all are great. The main disadvantage with the ball powders (except Staball) is that they are temperature sensitive. I am gathering the data and going to keep some of each loading and repeat test when temps are near zero. I am curious how that works.
Cfee and blc2 my favorite powders for Grendel but shooting while target is moving around is waste of components stake target so results won't vary but still looks like a good barrel there
I’m gonna do some blc2 work too, I like that powder. Yeah I got the stands stabilized now lol
Although the side view made it look worse than it was lol. From the scope you could barely see movement, the camera was angled as if the target was laying way back but it’s cause the camera was sitting on the hill lol
Would like to see more with 90, 95, and 100 gr. bullets. I have 2 grendels, one Howa the other custom AR. Believe the lighter weight bullets do much better.
I'm using mine for hogs and coyotes. Enjoying your enthusiasm in doing your videos.
@@rogue5643 I know the 90gr varmageddons tend to do good in about any rifle I shoot them in. I’ll get some lighter stuff
@thegundungeon
Thank you. I'm in New Mexico. Retired Vietnam Vet. Cancer survivor twice.
@@rogue5643 that’s some feats! Thank you for your service and keep kicking cancer’s @$$
Good video, wind may have effect the results.
I’ve recently stabilized them lol
That was some good shooting! I'm curious as to which of the two loads you preferred the grains that you used? I am loading some SST and some ELD with CF223 and would like to try the two loads you chose.
30.1 for the first group and 31.3 for the second to last group
@@thegundungeon Thank you!
Swap a 6mm max barrel in and lets see some load development please?
@@reconrc1787 I’m not familiar with that but intrigued lol. I’ll take a look
@thegundungeon I think you might be blown away. Even with a short barrel, the performance is amazing. I'm just starting on development now, too. So far, it's very impressive.
