    Interesting, nice video.
The other day I tried some hundred grain ELDs using LT 32 at 26.1 grains my velocity was 2500.
I was getting really good sub in midway groups five shot groups and some Hole&hole at 100 yards.
    Little food for thought.

Never tried LT 32, may have to look into it. The next grendel powder on my short list is reloader 15

Rob's Reloading yes I have seen a lot of TH-camrs
      Using reloader 15.
LT 32 is a bench rest powder very consistent that load I gave you was real real consistent at 2500 ft./s.
Superformance is another powder that I’ve been working with I really like it too.

Your loads are seated deep. May want try seating 2.250. CFE is producing.5 out of my 20 inch 416 barrel
Just something that might help! Good luck.

Building a 6.5 Grendel at this time, sub MOA is my goal These groups I would expect with my 300 BLK!

Hornady recommends 2.245 for the Grendel and their 120-123 gr bullets. I just loaded some 123 gr SST at 2.255 with CFE223 for reliable magazine feeding and to allow fine tuning of the seating depth for accuracy.

In this situation the bullet ogive shape and my particular barrel wouldn't allow for that length. At 2.245 the bullet would be jamming into the lands.

@@RobsReloading what chamber do you have? My barrel is a Faxon 20" with a type 2 chamber.

@@rogerpemberton79 barrel is a sixfivearms grendel forum group buy barrel with a sammi chamber. The compound throat in the sammi chamber doesn't play well with the 120 ogive shape. It prefers the 123 eld ogive geometry.

If all you have are the half moon marks on your brass check to see if ejector is moving freely and polish ejector to a slightly rounded top the flat ejector causes swipes

140 grain eld or sst I load 26.5 grains of h335 coal just a tad under mag length the bullet jump is long on 6.5mm the to the bullets shape i found better accuracy leaving them longer than book data for my gun.

Try new brass and 450 primers.
I've had mixed results with cfe223 as well.

I am thinking my chrono (cheap caldwell) may be contributing to the SD's. However at this point am unable to confirm this hypothesis. Seems as the alignment of the chrono is changed by shooting at a target with a left to right pattern when at the edges of alignment reading become more erratic and SD's suffer. I am going to try to remedy this in the with more precise set up prior to each group. Hoping the SD inconsistencies is the chrono and not the ammo. In most efforts 1-2 groups have sub 15 fps SD with 1 that seems to throw a crazy high SD. Other options are in the works but likely wont upgrade chrono until this summer.

@@RobsReloading yeah I have the Caldwell crono. At times I'll look at it and think what the heck.. that can't be right. Honestly though, if you have new brass to test just try it.. cause something is amiss with those high sd's. With that said, your groups aren't that bad. We've all shot better and worse.

New to reloading. Could you use this powder on 6.5 creedmor?

    • @BuffaloTrace602
      @BuffaloTrace602 ปีที่แล้ว

You’d need a different powder. The grendel uses 556/223 types of powders
