Where did you get those grips?

Got a Marlin model 60 actually it's a model 50 cotter and company. Dates from the late 60s early 70s. Probably head close to half a million rounds through it that's not an exaggeration. Still drive thumb tacks with it at 50 to 75 yd!

Have you tested any of the heavier 30sc projectiles out of the Shield Plus? If I recall, the 56gr round was getting about 1800 ft/sec from the Plus, and you mentioned possibly testing some heavier 70 something grain rounds out of the Plus.

Those big meaty claws make that thing look small.

Ask they Hi-Point rep when their pistol for 30 SC comes out, please.

Love that you reviewed this. Hi-point carbines are heavy, ugly, and cheap firearms. However... experience shows they are dependable, cheap, and fun to shoot. 😆 More than I'd like to admit.

PLEASE do a velocity comparison between it and a pistol with various rounds. I anticipate the .30sc gains even more velocity from the longer barrel than does 9mm due to the higher pressure of the round.

My advice is to buy your wife all the guns she likes. Especially this one as its inexpensive and she already has a purpose for it. It's rare that we get a wife (Luckily my 2nd wife likes to shoot) that enjoys shooting so support that and it will repay you in no problems buying stuff for both of you + it's fun

AR is great for beginners AK’s for the big boys.

I make my own self defense ammo but not because its cheaper because the price really does not effect my wallet. I make them as a prepper and in a case of a SHTF event. That way I have a supply on hand. But I do store them in a cool dry air tight container and once they become 6 months old I shoot them at the range and make up a new batch so nothing sits for long times.

The 39 lost a lot of energy and speed, but still has more energy delivery at 100 yards. I'd guess that at the 300 mark you'd see it well below 5.56. 6.5 I'm not sure; kinda surprised 6.5 doesn't have more juice. Solid presentation 👍

One thing to also mention is that the covers flip over flat, not straight up like almost every other flip up made. Also, PSA has them on sale right now for $269. I bought one this morning.

I’m guessing you have it backwards as to which bullets were from which gun. Longer barrels typically mean greater velocity, which creates more expansion, which results in less penetration. So, the one with less expansion that went deeper, is likely the 3” 686.

Mine does !!! On a 20gauge Ltw..870LW Remington had it since 70s..

Like other folks said I would love to see what you are getting for accuracy with Lil Gun. I have seen just like what you demonstrated where Lil Gun gives great velocity but accuracy might not be the best. I have had great luck with H 110 and the Barnes TAC TX. My 16 inch Ballistic Advantage Barrel is shooting them just a hair over 2400fps with nice groups. I do have a pound of Lil Gun and may try loading some Sierra 110 pro Hunters or Hornady Vmax 110s with it this spring/summer.

Shot placement. Ammunition is growing and getting better, more powerful. Still knowledge of firearms and equipment is a must. There are many ammunitions on the market that are very poor in quality and can be dangerous and cause harm to the operator. The .223/5.56 AR ammunition malfunctions and fail to perform many times, and etc.

I reviewed this last month. I've had it in a 45 degree offset mount on my 11.5" AR backing up my thermal sight for about 2 months or so. It works great, and is SUPER fast. Good specs, good price- a real winner. GOOD REVIEW brother.

Word on the street is that these Chinese brand dots are OK, but the screws included in the box are cheap and can sheer off under recoil. I would appreciate a 1000 round durability test.

I would buy it for that price just to have it in the collection👍 Even if i never shoot it. 32acp ammo is far more rare and therefore far more expensive

All two of my pistol red dots are Vortex. I only chose those because they were discounted heavily on PSA's daily deals. I'm also very happy you're getting to use that gong. It breaks my heart a little that I never shot it, but again, it makes me happy it went to a good home.

For me, health, agility (the lack of) and age are factored in. I literally sleep with a holstered 9mm with one in the chamber, but keep a pcc handy as well. I prefer the pcc because of the multiple points of contact. Am considering a kriss vector sdp with a brace in 10mm though.
