  • I got a hold of this Ruger LCP Max in 380 ACP. I have always carried a full size pistol in the appendix position and this is my first time shooting tiny guns like this.
This video shows all the shots and hits fired, both good ones and bad ones. It also shows how I diagnosed problems and attempted to fixed them.
Ultimately, with good fundamentals, you can make it work. But with a full size gun, the ceiling is much higher. If you dryfire and invest in ammo and training, that’s what matters the most.
Would I carry it every day? Probably not. I would stick with my AIWB full size Walther PDP. However, I think this would be a viable backup pistol or deep concealment option.

Great review. I currently have the Kel-Tec P32 with the Kel-Tec plus one magazine adapter so it now holds eight plus one of .32 acp over the stock seven and have considered buying the Ruger LCP .380 Max but I'm not sure there will be a huge advantage over my Kel-Tec P32 plus recoil on the P32 is much reduced over the LCP dare I say pleasant plus the overall size is still smaller than the LCP Max. For carry I'd only use FMJ as JHP will almost never expand on either .32 or .380 especially in short barrels.

I've carried an original lcp. 380 for years. Training the trigger pull is essential. Just keep in mind, it was never intended for accurate, mid or long range shooting. I'm actually really impressed, especially considering you don't normally shoot sub compacts or iron sights.

I don’t believe most people can replicate what I did in the video. My fundamentals definitely carried over. It’ll be cool to see what I can do with this gun if I actually practice with it.

So, recommend it for carry or not? Good review.

I would always carry a full size gun in AIWB position. It is just way easier to shoot. With a decent holster, it’s not hard at all to conceal a full size pistol.
I do think this gun is a viable option. If you decide to carry it, you need to practice and be proficient.

@@JustinZhong1996 Thanks, I always carry a Glock 26 or a 19X. I was considering this as strictly a pocket carry backup gun. What are your thoughts on that?

@@JustinZhong1996 I think so too. I may "pull the trigger" on one. Just wanted to say that I have checked out your channel and am full agreement with your Christian beliefs sir! I have only seen your stuff on this video, but did play your Christmas music video. Good stuff!

Strange video. Why the stop jitter after a shot and next one? Looks like editing.
