Used to live 100 metres from that car park you are parked in at the lakes, walked there every day! Always love to see shots of Valleymount peninsula, you wont find a better looking place anywhere for me.
My wife has the previous model and although we're currently changing it, we love it. That 220D engine is a peach and with the MHEV I'd say its better still. My one gripe with this is that they got rid of the back windows opening but didnt take the opportunity to make it a hatchback opening, that would have added so much to the practicality!
for me this car is a step back. Really loved the E class coup and this looks like a big A class coupe
For such an iconic model, I think anything new/newer is a hard act to follow.
Mercedes knows how to do luxury interiors. I know what you mean about those earlier cars that handed you the seat belt.

No radar cruise on cars like this is utterly laughable, you get it on a suzuki swift! Adaptive cruise and blind spot should be on every new car now, in fact they should be a legal requirement in my opinion, I'll die on that hill. The likes of mercedes and audi not including these type of features as standard on cars that cost what they charge is a joke, I'd have no sympathy for them when they get eaten up by the chinese if this is how they carry on. Wake up legacy car manufacturers.
Damn touch screens and haptic buttons all rubbish, also the constant chimes. To top it off... You can purchase that option at a later date, f off!

It's got pillars! Not a real Mercedes coupe. Looks nice though.

Mercedes Benz never quite made sense. The brand certainly does not now! This Coupe is in a word... Hideous!.( OK not in the Tesla hideous league.... nothing is!). but Merc really are trying to get in the top league of god awful! Bling! Bling! And just tasteless Bling. And as soon as out the equally bling showroom, worth about half of what... whoever left taste at the door...buys one. And! New model, looks dated already. For sure BMW with the superb 4 have absolutely nothing to concern themselves over... Leagues ahead. No,. Mercedes lost taste and know how years ago... Perhaps in pursuit of should we say other markets?. The only Merc worth a shout is an A Class 35... But watch the colour and specification!

I don’t disagree. However as a BMW driver, I’ll be the first to admit they’re just as guilty! Their new models, up to and including the new 5 & 7 series are ugly. I have a 232 330e touring. When I go to change I’m only hoping the next 3 series doesn’t mirror the 5 😅
Agree, the interior is chav central. Volvo v90/s90, thats the way an interior should be, classy, not tacky.
