  • Review of the new Mercedes CLE 300.
    When coupés are being shuffled aside to make room for SUV´s and crossovers and so on, to me, joy in the air gets filled when Mercedes launches a new one. Thorughout the years Mercedes has spoiled us with endless of coupés but time changes and now they are more nich that does not sell in great enough volumes. But with this new CLE they really accomplished something good alongside the AMG GT. But can it reclaim the status coupés once had and what might be missing in that case?

      Yes, it looks very good, great proportions, lines and just big enough for that sleak elegant look. Very nice to drive. And yes, it always looks cool when giving it some in the snow 😉🤘. Thanks for watching 🙏

    Good video. Did you test the different available suspensions? How comfortable is the sport suspension compared to dbc suspension?

    • @whatcarwhattime
      @whatcarwhattime  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank so much!
      Yes, tried them all out and I must say that despite not sitting on air suspension it felt not far away from one in the comfort mode. When the road became a bit harsher and torn up it handled it well but a small sense of "hitting through" was there compared to an air suspension that might be a little more gentle. But on smooth road, even in sport setting it was composed but it isnt as agile or performance inviting as some of its rivals. But yet more then enough and I like the approach of comfort in a Mercedes like this one, so this was just briliant. Thanks for watching 🙏🙏

    You get a like for spelling and pronouncing coupé correctly. That being said I have owned the last three generations of the E Class coupé and cabriolet and I think the CLE range is throughly overpriced. Mercedes have never held their value, there's no way I am paying £60k for this brand new for it to lose 20-30% of it's value in the first year. At the rate the SL43 is losing it's price, I might just wait for one of those to slip into the same price range.

      Thank you and interesting point. It feels like that with many luxury car brands, that the depreciation is rather rapid, but not always. But best is to wait and try to find one with 2-30 000 km on it. Thanks for watching! 🙏

    it's not likely that cle 63 will have 4 cyl engine like c63, since cle 53 has 6 cyl inline amg engine. And probably there won't be 63 model, because the last e class coupe didn't have it, 53 was the max engine spec.

    • @whatcarwhattime
      @whatcarwhattime  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I was actually thinking about that. But since there now only is two "real" coupés in Mercedes lineup i'd rather want to imagine that the CLE would go all the way to a 63. But at the same time, it might be a bit cumbersome in a smaller coupé chassi to put in the full array plug in hybrid technology. But still..I hope ☺️. Thanks for watching 🙏

      @timonxDlol 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      63 test cars have been spotted for quite a while now (square exhaust) and they are 4 cyl hybrid (charging opening)… but there are rumors Mercedes wants to completely drop the 63

      63 models for the coupe will be v6 aswell to put it more upmarket and bring up more the e class part of it. It will use the v6 setup coming in the new e63 amg.

    • @timonxDlol
      @timonxDlol 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@telmoazevedo8958 There is no V6. So far the CLE 63e has 100% be tested with the 4 cyl. There is also no E63 coming. Not a singly spyshot of one. Only an E53e

    Year 2024 NO sequential turn signals....Hey Mercedes
    Lights are very boring and back windows don't GO DOWN. I'm owner C coupe 2018 and this is more replica... have a nice day from Europe

    • @whatcarwhattime
      @whatcarwhattime  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Old C Class coupe is nice, congratulations to owning one of these. But this one is another spectrum actually, overall its more dynamic and intuitive and Hey Mercedes works brilliant now. And the driving feel is on top. This coupé is really a great one and after a while with it, you wont feel the need of bigger one. Its brilliant! Thanks for watching 🙏
