Not just me who saw it was wonky then.
I bought my wife a Covid Car. The X3MC had covered 6000 miles and was immaculate! I absolutely hate that grill, but love the engine and box, so I was able to justify the purchase with ManMaths. I eventually got rid of my M4 CS and really like the X3MC.

It’s funny you mention Tring. I bought an E46 M3 Convertible, blue with grey leather, in 2002 from a Berkshire main dealer with lots of problems. Tring sorted me out and were amazing. They were brilliant. It was 22 years ago and I did have a brand new black on black on black X3M a few years ago and currently in an M4 Comp again black on black on black from new but still miss the E46 M3 more than anything. That noise and raw feeling still hasn’t been matched.
Supposed to be nice and zippy, tad fuel hungry but it's the price you pay for such fun! Looking forward to your fully prepped walkaround tour.

What did you use on the steering wheel ?
Why would a main dealer trade out a prime bit of stock with full main dealer history low mileage and no crash damage etc??

Main dealers will still class it as as sale regardless to who they sell it to, so head office or sales manager is happy to see it in their monthly target - targets are normally units sold and not the price it sold for.
Dealer's do this when there is a problem with the vehicle and not worth fixing or they have detected a remap was installed in the past. As they are not allowed to sell on cars as approved used which has been remapped.
You only need to see the wear and tare on the steering wheel to know that car has done alot more than 30k miles
exactly and they are not suppose to sell to the public either if it is a car that they took in as a px like this. The cars must go to the auctions regardless of whether it is good or not so not sure why they didn't put this into the auction

I always compare car prices to my house as well! Bought my first house for £82,000, and anything over that I’m like hmm nah. Round here in Stoke-on-Trent you can get houses dirt cheap too!

My BMW X3M buying experience has been a NIGHTMARE!
Picked it up from BMW Main Dealer April 30th. It’s a 2019 model.
Driving home to Manchester, and the dashboard shows up “Chassis Function Restricted”
I was told to take it to my local service centre in Manchester…it’s been there for 6 WEEKS.
I had the car for 5 days, and it’s been in the BMW Garage for 6 weeks 😂 gutted.
A part needed ordering from Germany, took 3-4 weeks. Absolute nightmare.
I chose to go BMW Main Dealer for reliability and warranty….car had a fault before I even got it home.
Currently been in a courtesy car for 6 weeks…literal nightmare.
Take it back for a refund. You are protected by the consumer rights act of 2015 which now includes traders.
Which courtesy car did they give you?
Bought a car, something went wrong so it’s getting fixed under warranty while providing you with a loan car, seems fine to me, if the part wasn’t on back order it wouldn’t have taken long at all
hi, i recently bought a bmw x5 m sport, also 2019, having the same issue, saying CHASIS FUNCTION RESTRICTED, what seemed to be the problem for you, i was advised it was just software issues
@@harjapp they told me it needed a new computer part, which has been ordered from Germany main factory, that’s why it’s been so long.
It stops you from using the sport mode for the chassis so not acceptable to just say it’s a software problem, should be fixed

X3 m competition lose so much money after a couple of years it’s ridiculous. Over a hundred grand new and two years old you can buy one for 60k now that’s a bargain.

@szilardsimon5769 My 530d g30 has 147000 miles and the steering wheel is not comparable with that. Previous owner must have had sand paper gloves on his hands.

I can't believe these dealerships pay all that money and it's not clean especially that steering wheel minging and no fuel , what a joke
ok this is the worst company i have ever had to deal with, i get a reply from customer service 1's a week , and that is if! i get a reply at all, the product hasn't worked from day one!, after getting a reply from customer service asking if i ran the diagnostics while the engine is running, which i had bin! , i get told there is nothing they can do to help? , what is that response ? its more of a i cant be bothered helping you go away??? , then i get told i cant have a full refund for the product i can only have a partial refund?? , i don't want a refund , i wanted the product to work! , but if i was going to have a refund , after all this messing about and Carly not responding to me , i would at least!! expect a full refund , as it was advised to detect problems in the car, and it cant even pick up a power steering fault which is displayed on the dash and i can clearly see / feel that it is there, i have been ether sold a faulty product from day one, or sold a product that is not fit for purpose i dont want to be told "thank you for understanding you are busy" reply on here , you have 5 days before i take legal action to get this resolved , ticked number (the current one, not one of the ones you have closed for no reason and without even responding) number is : 1204467 , so rounding up i want this fully resolved within the next days 18/05/2024 or i will be in touch with trading standards and taking legal advice / action

Had a 12k mile F32 440i that had the same issue, hot microfibre and some leather balm, like new.

I think that’s why Bmw traded it off because they normally never trade off a low mileage car in good condition.

@@paula-jj5gdyes take it to NVMotorsport if they don’t have the unlock code (which I think they do now) they’ll send it abroad to be unlocked. I paid a lot for mine to be done but I’m 99% sure he said the other week that they have the patch for them now.

I've had 3bmws in the last few months and build issues with all of em sadly.
