Happily owned a Kodiaq 4x4 for 3 years with no issues. Mileage was low due to Covid-19 so I got a good price from the buyer. He's still delighted with it. I went down the EV route. Thanks for the review.
Any issues with the mechatronics ?
@@thebestbees No issues at all in 3 years.
@@connclissmann6514 thank u for your reply. Asking because heard a lot of issues about the mechantronics which is a common problem with the kodiaq
My FIL bought the old one pre reg March 2020. 5 Seat 1.5tsi DSG SE ,paid £24k . The price increases are just crazy.
Well selection edition right now has rear camera, wireless chargers LED lights and many other things that we had to pay extra for, so its not crazy…just a lot 😅
Yeah you got the FWD, weakest engine, no equipment.. pretty much entry level. 4 years later you can get a base Kodiaq with much more standard equipment for 32k euro which is about 29k pounds. I don't think it's much worse. Even back then you could spend well over 40 grand on one if you went for the worthwhile trims and packages.
Another great review Nobby. Car far too big for me but doesn't stop me enjoying a good review. Thanks for the mpg caption! In Scotland we can't get the hang of Litres to KMs 😆.
Thanks a lot for a great objectife review - as always! Have ordered Sel+ in Graphite grey - hopefully should arrive in Dublin soon.
I’ve ordered exactly that one. Arriving end of May 😊
Fantastic car. No doubt will be the go to for many Irish families looking for a 7 seater Looking forward to seeing the Sportline review....
910 litres in 5 seat mode in the two diesels is it? That must be the biggest boot on the market!
Whats the phev got in 5 seat mode?
Cheers!
Love the colour, love the interior, love the space & practicality! That front end & grill however.....maybe it'll grow on me!
Bronx gold!
A very big , very ugly tin box .
Had a 2021 Octavia Mark and the rear wiper coming on with auto wipers was a pain in ass, rear window wouldn’t have as much rain on it as front so you get that dry wipe noise drove me mad, main dealer couldn’t disable it eventually read online how to do it, in settings click on disable rear wiper when reverse is selected, only thing had the car 2 1/2 years by the time I found that out 😅😅😅 great review Mark keep up the great work.
I have 2023 kodiaq and absolutely love it its 2.0tdi4x4 dsg fitted with dcc and when the order book opens I will be ordering a 2.0tdi 4x4 dsg with Lane assistant and dynamic chassis control and I might go for sunroof it will be in either race blue or the red color I think this new gen kodiaq is even better its boot is huge it longer and I like skoda as I have had 2 other kodiaq car when first launched way back before kodiaq I had a superb would love skoda to build a kodiaq on new superb chassis but I don't think that would happen . I find the 4x4 handles better than 2 wheel drive
Nice video. Why did they downgrade the power of the diesel to 190 from the current 200?
Great review
Great review. Skoda getting better and better but maybe at that price, if it’s just a school run role it’ll be fulfilling, something like the Scenic EV would make better sense?
I'm ordering a Sportline 2.0 TSI 4x4 as soon as it's available, dealer says mid August.. It's projected to cost about 57k euro. The equivalent 2023 model was about 53k. I don't really care to be fair, I'll keep the car for 10 years so I better spec it as far as it'll go. (no sunroof or 7 seats tho..)
Fantastic looking car inside and out.
Plug-in hybrid one of these or wait for the superb plug in hybrid, or Skoda eniac ?????
What's not to not like!!! Skoda just rule these days. I'ma motor trader, they're so popular and solid.
The button for turning the screen off is most likely so that you can clean I would think
Exquisite design details
Fantastic car useful friendly. Excellent reviews all' the best ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠💐💐💐💐 IAM from coonoor anu. Tamil Nadu
Lovely looking car. Also new camera? looks great

You want screen to go black at night as there is too many lights outside. You don't need your lights to dazzle you. If you set up everything and just drive you don't need screen. Then if you touch anything it lights up and there is that convinient button. It was there in older cars with normal small screen radios. For longer drives somwhere where is dark and outside of the town is very useful.
100%
I could never understand people driving at night getting a tan from their dashboard on full whack.
Not only that but hard on the eyes and tiresome on a long drive.
I always turn the screen brightness down in general but with so much of a car operating via a screen these days, turning it off isn’t so easy.
You use dials for air con setting and it lights up so button is convinient. On long night drive eyes get tired so I would rather not fiddle too much with things and stay safer in dark.
Great review Nobby, I am lead to belive through LinkedIn with this diesel model you can use the HVO fuel again would you need Add Blue plus is it possible you could still need DPF treatment with the HVO
You can use HVO, yes. All I’ve seen online about DPFs with it is that they are a lot cleaner when checked.
I prefer last generation interior, hate this trend of just sticking an ipad in the middle.
its very expensive Mark. The issues i have seen since i got my new Octavia in Feb this year is that Skoda are NOT good with software as their infotainment systems are very laggy and full of bugs.
Looks great! Why get a VW over this?
I would have liked this but the model I'd like is too expensive for the high mileage I do. I have ordered a Karoq Sportline instead. I currently have a Peugeot 5008 GT Premium.
Missed op without a 7 seater hybrid
Very up-market kodiaq. I like it. Bit pricey though.
Tis!
очень плохо, что ребро жесткости убрали по бокам. Слишком надутым выглядит.
Another expensive car Mark.Ill stick to Dacia.Did you get around to review the Duster ?
Embargo until Thurs afternoon
Agree. All this reviewers just reviewing 40k cars. Dacia has the best value cars out there. I much rather buy a Dacia Jogger than this.
@@theanswer1993😂😂
Are the seats as comfortable as the previous model?
I rememember the times when Skoda used to be for regular people. Now it's an overprieced piece of shit car that breaks every day and uses like 10l per 100km. Not to mention that SUV is ugly as hell. For half the price you get a Dacia Jogger with 700 liters of boot space.
it's just a pig nobby. a bus crossed with a van crossed with a disability vehicle
Sound isolation is awful
Filmed by a professional film crew but you know best!
