      Its a horrible first bike for a newbie. Low speed maneuvers are a pain if you dont know what you’re doing, aggressive riding style can cause wrist pain and death wobbles if you dont know how to properly ride, high rpm power band takes a lot of mental power and focus to stay into which you dont want especially if youre still consciously thinking about your cornering lines, braking, shifting, and counter steering already.
      But if you want something that you can actually learn on and have more fun in a safer way then 300-500 twins really is the way to go.

    • @CarbongoldR6
      @CarbongoldR6 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@triyo1089 Its not a horrible beginners bike it depends who starts on it and how mature you are. I started on a R6 when i was 21 as my first biking with only have ridden sports quads before hand. I took it slow tried to master all the slow maneuvers before going past 9k rpm. i promised to myself that i wouldnt go past it in the first month no matter how good i got a slow maneuvers. And thats what i did. I graduatelly build from there.
      Been riding for 2.5 years now never had any accidents, tank slappers or dropped it and Still have a R6 just a newer one, i am fairly tall so i dont have to lean on my wrists . Its not a bike you should joke about, but if youre mature with it and disciplined its perfectly fine.

      @@CarbongoldR6Its nice to have 2 points of view but I will just explain who I am and maybe you guys would have a better understanding of why I picked an r6. So I am mature enough know how dangerous they are and I know I'm not invincible so I'm going to ride in higher gears so I don't pop a wheelie lol. I'm also going to be taking a class for about 2-3 days on just learning the basics and getting all the protective gear. Financially getting a ninja 300 is about $4-5k here and if i just got some 600cc they are about $5-8k.

    I had a 2006 and now a 2013 R6, I live between 8000-14000 RPM’s in the Rocky Mountain canyons (and at with the factor of higher elevation where you lose HP with decreased oxygen as you go up) and I love it every time. It turns into a whole different machine when it runs like that for a few hours, opposed to relatively constant speeds and RPM’s on the highway, even gets better gas mileage when you ride it hard like that! The guy who taught me how to ride raced for Suzuki for 15 years, and after riding many other bikes/brands the only other bike I’d consider for what I like to do is the GSX-R 750. In my opinion, it’s the only other bike that compares (without going to a 1000+ CC machine and giving up ability to flip through corners as effortlessly as a kid on a BMX bike. I always say, “all that matters is that it has 2 wheels.” It’s summer peoples! Get out and riiiiiide! 🤪

      @@chop2093 at a track - more often than not, i agree. they brake better and turn on a dime and i get annoyed as they nip up inside me at the track. I tried mates cbr600, zx6 and r6 (in the fast group). when i got angry with them and rung them out, they were very quick whereas mine was dropping off at the top end. but i spend 98% of my time street riding now. this is where excellent bottom end / midrange shines. i've had screamers before (kr250, rd350lc and then the beast - rg500 with mods) i loved them. i'm old now so i've gone vfr1200f recently with many mods (kept my trusty sp2 for now but its getting painful). the vfr is no match at the track to dedicated sports bikes (yes, I took it and it pogo sticked its way through bends with its heavy shaft drive - leaving weird skids as 600's slaughtered me) but it sure does honk everywhere in the rpm, i can ride all day and don't need to be stretchered off it . (197 rwhp with everything i could think of shoved on it) not bagging your bike. i went through a fun screamer craze for 10 years when i was young. we have all sorts of bikes to choose from.... my preference is immense grunt but i don't bag 600's for what they were designed to do. try a big vtwin or v4... you may like it when you get back pain, old etc?

    The unique powerband of the R6 will never get old. It's like the ultimate VTEC.
    To be honest for me there's more than enough power on the lower end to just commute. It could be a bit more useful on hill starts but honestly it has more than enough power.
    Now on to the powerband. When I first started pulling hard after breaking it in I would pull up to 12k RPM and thought wow this is insane. Once I started hitting 13-14kRPM that's when I instantly knew what everybody meant. It really does feel like turbo lag. The amount of power that the bike unleashes at those RPMs is just insane. It feels like you have a rocket propelling you and you're entering warp speed. There's just nothing like it in the 600 class I feel like.

    The adjustable stacks just allow more air velocity at lower rpm so the fuel mixes better with the air making a better and stringer combustion... Then the stacks shorten when you're at height rpm cuz it needs more air volume so the shorter the stack the more air volume is accessible, it doesn't need the added height cuz the velocity increases with rpm... I feel like I just beat a dead horse a little bit but you get it

    I had an SV650 as my first bike, got an '03 R6 a few days ago as my second bike. My only complaint is the seat could be a bit more cushioning, as I go on long rides and commutes, but other than that I am absolutely in love. The riding position is aggressive but once on you're on the highway the bike feels at home and it cruises around no problem. Hard to stay off the throttle!

    • @alexchulzhanov
      @alexchulzhanov 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree that it's not a good first bike though. I don't think I would've made it home with the R6 had I not had experience on the SV. It was certainly a different ball game but the basics and even some of the finer details of riding I learned from the SV helped so much with riding the R6. I'll admit I was a bit scared I would lay it down when I test rode it, but here I am a few hundred miles later getting comfortable with the bike finally (but not overly confident; I know my limits).

    The bike I wanted was the one that I got. A ZX6R. Much more “streetable”, much cheaper, and much more low key. No one owns 636’s. I go on group rides and everyone is rocking GSXR’s and R6. Makes me feel a bit more unique. Granted a Gixxer or R6 would smoke my ZX6R flat out, but I don’t care because I don’t ride like that. I have the 2008. It's amazing. Bottom end gutless. Top end is nuts. Great brakes. Handles nice. Very stable at high speed. Sometimes people say you got a headlight out, lol. Also if your under 5'10 then it's hard to touch the ground. I'm 5'11 and it's only just okay for me. If your over 90kg get a bike with more torque. Don't buy if your a learner. Get an r3 first. 9/10 bike.
    Doesn't have any tcs rider modes etc. If it had more torque under 10K it would be a 10/10. Oh yeah no gear indicator and no fuel gauge is so annoying. It does have an empty warning light though

      @@msi4887 idk a 1000 is more useable in city tbh. R6 just wants to be riden hard all the time.

    Nah just throw in a smaller sprocket in the front and you’ll have power lol. I have an 05 and it rips in 2nd and 3rd gear

      my 02 SV650S still puts them to shame off the line..
      They still don't have the low end torque a V-twin does ...
      Sprockets don't fix low end torque that much
