      That manscape code does work. I used a month ago. Looks like everyone is definitely trying to keep there manhood well groomed and smelling nice. Yes, I said smelling nice and staying very cool as well. Get the full package you will not regret it. I didn’t know there was ball deodorant until I purchased this kit complete with a free sport boxer and man grooming kit. And it does not nick or cut. But this thing makes your manhood feel so fresh, free and clean. I use it now on a regular so I can maintain cool dry fresh Balls. Yammie Noob did not pay me to say my written comments. I’ve owned my 2015 R6 since 2016. Yes you will have to ride it like you’re mad almost but you can pretty much spank the crap out of it. Downshift as hard as you want with the slipper clutch to get into turns. And wring it out on straights like you’re going to break it. You won’t break it. Add a power commander and change the exhaust and this bike really opens up. Dynoed mine at 117hp to the wheels. I’m 160 lbs and this bike picks the front end up when first gear is pinned. Second gear shifts also pick up the front end. Lean forward a bit and that goes away a bit. Get steering stabilizer for your R6. Super fun bike

    • @danishbar296
      @danishbar296 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@Fee.1 installing a slipper clutch involves replacing your old clutch assembly with a new slipper-type. These honestly should be standard on modern bikes given their advantages but I digress. You could theoretically get an R6 as a beginner rider, but the outwardly aggressive ergonomics (unforgiving), high power output once in the power band, and high seat height shy many away. I'm not a terribly confident rider and usually ride my 07 R6 at around 6k rpms... It's not as enjoyable as my Duke 390 unless I'm down for a wild ride and let the revs skyrocket. Twisties you have to fully commit to, and the bike feels heavier than it is but then again I'm 5' 7" with a 31" inseam so I tip toe it.
      tldr; fun bike, I'm scared of it, possible to ride as a beginner but really not ideal in any fashion. There's better options.

      @bbs5400 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      agreed, I've had my 01 R6 for about a year and a half and I love it, it's so much fun. Except mine doesn't have a slipper clutch or any rider assists like abs or traction control, but it's still so much fun, and feel's so raw without any assists. Got it for only $2,500 too which was a steal, it had been slid across the pavement though but the crank case isn't cracked or anything so I don't really care

    • @bbs5400
      @bbs5400 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Fee.1 Agreed, for the first like 3 months I never took my bike past 8k rpm, that was a good way to hold myself accountable and safe. It's super safe and SUPER slow when at 4k rpm or lower, and when I felt more comfortable and gained more skill, I'd slowly take it up higher and higher, to 8k, then 10k, then 12k, etc but NEVER in first gear, made that mistake once when I wasn't expecting it. First gear is FAR shorter than any other gear, producing the most torque, you can easily loop it by doing that or if you do it in a turn you can easily low side

    I Own a 3rd gen bought her 2 years ago street riding, commuting and first bike. Love Love this thing. I kept her under 8,000 rpm's for the first 1,000 miles to get used to her and I would recommend this to someone as a first bike, if they in fact 'have' something to lose and they truly 'value' their life then they can possibly withhold the urge to kill themselves by not respecting what this monster is. When you said it's like an angry wasp in a bottle that's the best description I've heard so far for this machine lol. Whoever wants this as their first bike should definatly say a little silent prayer to the universe because if you let the wasp out too early she will destroy you. The power band on this girl will scream in your ear and get your heart pounding faster and faster so beware it is more addicting than Heroin! so take this into consideration when choosing what to buy. I cleaned the carbs on my 01 R6 after the most complicated mechanical thing I have ever done being oil changes. It wasn't hard to figure out, it's mostly getting at the screws that keep the carbs on the engine and the screws on the carb that's the hardest part. Had to use vice grips on those unholy carb screws to get them off without stripping. Taking pictures and reading the manual eliminates most technical challenge. It just takes a really, really long time, mostly because the hose clamps are tough to get off, the screws sandwiched between the carb and engine head are nearly impossible to see (the rightmost cylinder is impossible) and the carb screws are almost all stuck.

    I got a 2008 R6 2 months ago. My first road ready bike was an 84 Honda XL250. Next was a 94 Katana 750. Then a 2001 FZ1 (one of my favs). Then a 97 VMAX. I sold the VMAX in 2012. Hadn't ridden since. My son just turned 16 and got his endorsement. He has a 2005 CBR600. I had to get a bike to so I could ride with him. Gotta say, this r6 is probably my favorite of the bikes I've owned. It's the Yellow limited edition and is absolutely beautiful.

    Not much power down low, for sure, but enough to get going if you need to.
    It feels "zippy" in the lower RPM's, when the gear is appropriate to the speed.

    I had a 2nd gen R6 as a first bike, and yes, it was a bad idea. I was fortunate that I never got into trouble with it. I traded it for another bike primarily because of the rectifier/regulator issue. The plug fries because of heat, and I live in a hot environment, so I didn't want to keep repairing it. If I remember correctly, the 3rd gen R6 moved the rectifier to a better location.

    A few years ago I decided my beloved Ninja 250 (old school 2007) was in need of replacement for a little more speed. I looked at the Honda CBR600 and the Suzuki GSXR600. They were supposed to be the more relaxed seating posture sport bikes. Then the Ninja 636 caught my attention. It looked meaner and more aggressive. As I was about to reach my goal saving up my pennies, I came across a photo of the R6. I had ruled out the Yamaha from the outset because of it's fabled aggressive seating posture. But looking at the bike again I came to the realization this was the only sportbike for me! I got a great deal on a low mileage 2009 and prepared for the unavoidable sore back. To my complete surprise, It wasn't that bad. I find I can slide forward on the seat and sit almost upright, especially riding 1 hand. Then I slide back on the seat into push-up position and adopt a roadracing crouch. I took a 175 mile tour on it a couple of weeks ago and the bike was perfect. My one knock on the bike is that heat from that high revvin' 4 cyl tends to fry your shins after awhile. I may be the only 67 year old R6 jockey around but with over 50 years of riding experience it's WAY BETTER than being stuck on some lumbering Harley Davidson Moo-Glide. And for me, motorcycling has always been all about the corners anyway. What could be better than an R6?

Lots to freshen up. I'm enjoying it. I've always loved the aggressive ergonomics and I'm 6'4. Weird. I know. My friend has an R1 and if we are on a road with some straights he can outrun me but when we get on a twisty road with curves and not many long straights, even his R1 won’t keep up. If I were to get a super sport MC, I would probably lean towards an R6 or R1. It has the unique headlights and a distinctive look to it. A KTM RC8 would be cool but a Yamaha has more affordability on used bikes. Yeah, a used bike will come with its issues but it would probably be easier to handle on the Yamaha. The R6 is pretty sweet, a buddy had one and it was a fun bike.

    Got myself a crate-new 2017 in early 2018 for a pretty good deal, finally got around to fitting up a full system (akra) while maintaining AIS/O2 sensor, so no Check Engine light. Full system really wakes up the bike, as basically every review states, the restrictive exhaust of the 4th gen R6 put it down on power from the 3rd gens (I had an '08 with a full system up until 2013). It's not a great street bike, but there's just nothing else I want to buy, Yamaha/Tuning-Fork had me sold me in the 4th grade with the recorder.

    I have an 08 R6 and really like it. It is the first Yamaha I have owned and I do have to say Yamaha quality is very good. It just feels a bit more refined than my CBR and GSXR. No it isn't the best street bike due to it's peaky power, but it is adequate for any reasonable human being. Despite it's lackluster low engine speed output, who doesn't love wrapping the throttle and waiting for that glorious R6 explosion of power? The R6 has its own character that distinguishes itself from other 600s, and I appreciate that. I guess if I could only own one 600 in my lifetime it wouldn't be my top pick, but if you love sportbikes and can afford the luxury, it is worth owning one at some point.

    I am by no means an expert rider. More like an average rider who is still learning. I went from a Yamaha 2012 FZ-6 to a 2018 YZF-R6. The transition wasn’t scary but the power difference was noticeable. The sitting isn’t as aggressive as a lot of people say it is. Maybe it’s my body stature. I’m about 5’8” and 180lbs with a stocky build. I did swap out my levers for ASV shorty levers to help with my smaller hands. But I have also adjusted my spring and forks for my body weight. Which a lot of riders don’t even consider adjusting.. I can ride my R6 for a straight 2 hours without any body cramping. That’s typically when I need to stop for gas anyways. You are correct and incorrect about the powerband. The new generation R6’s have three different riding modes. A, STD, and B. I started out in B and worked my way up. B is a little too sluggish of a throttle response but STD is a gradual, more linear throttle response that I have grown to love while being on the street. But if it isn’t enough throttle response, you can switch the mode to A at a stop light with a flick of a switch. Super responsive, aggressive throttle response that is easily manageable on the street. So in a sense, you can buy an R6 as a beginner bike as long as you keep it in B mode and learn the throttle but also take it easy around turns to understand the lean angle. The throttle response in B mode felt very similar to my 2012 FZ-6. If you are smart about it and you take it easy until you are comfortable, the R6 is a bike that anyone can sit on and learn to ride if you are mentally mature enough to understand it’s capabilities and understand that you are the student and not the master in this situation because the R6 will let you know this before you get too cocky.
