Being blunt: Animation was incredible, and the fan service was more than entertaining. But some of the actors could really learn to emote a bit more. All and all, pretty enjoyable.

@@rondevrind7655 I didn't really need a wikipedia's article to define it for me, but from what I'm reading, it's exactly what I think it is. You might want to take another look around, bud.
This is the kind of fanfiction that the higher ups in the movies don't understand is exactly what fans of these series want to see. Smaller budgets, unknown stars, and good space battles.
They could've had a better dialogue writer, but that's my only pet peeve. Also, shields. They could've added shields. My two pokes. Also check out Battle of Wolf 359 with the 6 battlewings, it's such a great animation. Both perfectly canonically accurate, AND well animated.
The Klingons would as well. Hell I'm not even sure why Klingons are even here at all to be honest, but I guess that Earth lies in Klingon space in this timeline, or that they have been pulled through by shear luck as Klingons weren't pursuing the Enterprise.
I was really hoping for a CSO to come out. Imagine this, we have the Executor super stardestroyer come out, then an ominous shadow covers it, the screen pans up showing the CSO.
Be glad TH-cam has blessed us with this wonderful video. But is it a blessing, or a curse? Because sometimes, some good old video would get to us, while other times, not so great. =)
While the acting was a little meh, this clearly had a ton of heart and soul put into it. The special effects are actually decent, the action is fun, the concept itself is awesome. Easily 9/10, would recommend.
Especially considering that *only* 2,000 (U.S. ?) was spent this could be one of those "Napoleon Dynamite" ideas that actually pay off especially if it is done in a parody format.
I'd personally love to see a full length movie based on this. And by full length I don't mean the 'youtube full length', I mean a REAL full length movie that's at least 2 hours. Granted this was done by fans in their free time, and I understand and appreciate that. The acting and special effects were very good in my opinion, I just personally want to see this greatly expanded. And since this was done by fans in their free time I know it could possibly take several years to make an actual full length movie version of this video, but I for one am definitely willing to wait. Again, this is just my own personal opinion.

There were X wings, the death star, tie fighters, and star destroyers, Miranda class and maybe a galaxy class cruiser. How many ships came through the rift anyway.
Y-Wings flying support to a Miranda Class, Pillar of Autumn broadsides with a Star Destroyer, Normandy on runs through Imperial and Klingon fire, The Falcon dog fighting Birds of Prey, R2, Cortana and EDI having a conversation............Hell yeah! The only thing missing is Master Cheif and Commander Shepherd back to back in a gun fight!!!!!
if this has a sequal I'd love to see the normandy ground crew, the main away team, Luke han leia, and master cheif on the ground fighting off waves of storm troopers and klingons
For Star Wars fanboys whining about ISDs shields are useless against Pillar of Autumn's guns Star Wars shields although powerful, doesn't register PoA's kinetic guns as threat to they got through
One small detail I really liked in 6:41 was when the star destroyer entered the system the pillar of autumn immediately identified the star destroyer's weak point
Yeah Star Wars ships have far more power and insanely scaled ships and ship stats, but their computing power is always incredibly primitive in practice. Halo ships with onboard AI would probably dominate the battlefield just because the AI has cyberwarfare capabilities.
@@sam23696 Don't forget the range advantage the UNSC has, although the games don't represent it very well, Human ships in Halo fight at ranges of over 300 km (supermac rounds usually try to fire when the enemy ship is around the same distance the Earth is to the Moon) compare that with ships in star wars that have engagement ranges of
@@technicalbark598 You're right, and we all know that is because of cinematic battles in Star Wars versus more realism from Halo. But in lore that is also because of the short range of turbolasers overall. They still follow inverse square law, meaning your lasers are far more damaging up close. They are pumping half the output of an entire star into their deflector shields, so you need to get into spitting distance otherwise the battle will last months. Couple that with their absurdly accurate hyperspace jumps, they can just drop out within 20 meters and try to punch through their shields before they punch through yours. Such a doctrine is why their ships just keep getting larger, and you have gigantic superstar destroyers. If we want to split hairs I'd say the deflector shields probably render all kinetic weapons useless, otherwise they'd use them. And they probably do that because they usually deflect asteroids while in hyperspace, so a MAC round is small potatoes. This is what I mean by insanely scaled up. Really the UNSC only have computing power and advanced tactics on their side. Star Wars naval doctrine is probably very basic, given the millennia of tradition using the same general ship configurations.
I already thought this video was sick when i first saw it but then i saw the credits... JOSE PAVLI??? THE GUY WHO MADE THE PROJECT WINGMAN OST??? That is genuinely sick
As a huge ass, AAA nerd lover of all the franchises featured, I don't even care how bad 2020 was. This fucking fixed it. I got to see the Normandy escorted by X wings and the Enterprise do the trench run on the Death Star to drop off the Master Chief. All that was missing was Chief fighting Vader on the surface of the Death Star with an energy sword, EDI and Cortana having lesbian sexual tension, and Garrus telling Mccoy he needed to lighten the fuck up
Honestly, the only thing that does not make sense to me is the fact that none of the MAC cannons that are supposed to be on Earth, if we are setting this in the Halo universe, even fired at the enemy fleets. Plus I feel like the empire and pretty much every other bad guy ship that arrived at earth would have tried to invade it the moment they got there. other than that, this was an amazing fan film!
I'm a lifelong trek fan. Starfleet could not take on the death star head on. Stafleet with their tech if they got real creative, they would have a chance but the death star is the one thing that would present a HUGE problem for them.
All I can say it's a good thing 40k aren't in this they'd annialate every other universe because as much as I love the other universes 40k would purley and simply destroy everything. The sith look like a bunch of magicians compared to phsykers and there ships are dwarfed compared to emperor class destroyers such as battlefleet gothic and the countless space marine fleets not to mention black ships.

Thank you for bringing up the Doctor... looking at these comments, you'd think no-one stayed until the end of the video to even SEE the Doctor at the end... the same people that leave during the credits at a Marvel film and wonder what everyone is talking about when they start discussing the end credit scenes
I can imagine the Tardis materializing in the middle of the ships (6:31) as The Doctor explains it's he fault then the Star Destroyer crashes into the Enterprise. And we see the Tardis dogging Tie Fighters.
If you told me that I’d see Master Chief fly out the Normandy to yeet a bomb at the Death Star i wouldn’t believe you. This needs sequels. Great quality. 👍🏻
so it seems the UNSC can go toe to toe with the empire in space . I was worried that the Master Chief would have to go toe to toe against Darth Vader .
@Sheila Wolfie so why not? It would provide a smaller target for the star destroyer’s guns as well. That, or retreat to a longer range and unload as it pleased
You know, only a true nerd could have concocted this brain child and then actually delivered it. The amount of geek energy that radiates off this piece of sacred art is borderline capable of melting off faces like the Ark from Raiders
Excellent work, I definitely don't watch a lot of fanfics or crossovers or even short films but this one was enough to draw me in and keep me to the end! Left me imagining that they all went back to their own places and never saw each other again but never forgot those fifteen minutes of fighting alongside new allies. A memory to keep them going in the hard times.
Normandy: thannix cannon Enterprise: phaser and photon torpedoes Pillar of autumn: whole bunch of weapons Millennium falcon: ummm 🤔... it can fly really fast
Also, keogh, that wasn't a constitution class that the falcon flew through, it t was the first VENGEANCE class dreadnought fitted for war, enterprise was never a VENGEANCE class
I am here 3 years later to point out that the Enterprise is the only ship with proper shields and would likely withstand everything thrown at it from all the other universes. If the UNSC Infinity was here, it would be the top dog.
Yeah that’s true but since we have never seen any of these ships face off, and since they all rely on fictional tech, comparing them is futile because we don’t have enough specifications and hard stats on them.
@@Spartana498 not to mention everytime the mac gets brought up in a star wars vs halo convo, its either the most powerful thing in existence, or less damaging than an asteroid.
@@SlimTheydy unfortunate that 2 fanbases can't compete fairly. In Halo lore: MAC Canon goes up against an enemy with shields and energy weapons and often does significant damage. My issue with this video is 1) not enough photon torpedoes (more powerful than proton torpedoes), 2) many different ships have shields and their use is never depicted. 3) Normandy weapons and millennium falcon weapons are severely underused. 4) even being hit by a star destroyer, it'd only drop the enterprise shields, not shred the plating off an entire warp nacelle... But anyway... Overall good film
Imagine this being followed by the franchises of Gundam, Transformers, The Orville, and Starcraft meeting each other and having their own adventure together. I could see that ending with them meeting the heroes from this film, and they form a multiverse alliance to protect it from the characters from Warhammer 40K running amuck across the multiverse.

Fire first isn't really the MO of anyone there except Han Solo. And since the Empire arrived and just started firing on all the ships there WITH the Falcon, it wasn't precisely out of character.
yeah I was thinking... WHY? Didn't the star destroyers open fire on the Vengeance? It was obviously the same design as the Enterprise and they opened fire on them without provocation.

I love how Master Chief's ship just immediately started broadsiding a Star Destroyer with heavy ordnance like it wasn't the hot shit the Empire thinks it is. Seriously, this is the same ship the Rebellion had to throw whole fleets of fighters at, and the _Pillar of Autumn_ just rolls up and wrecks their shit. 7/4/22 Edit: LOL guys, GUYS... I _know_ it's because the _PoA_ is using physical munitions instead of energy weapons. I _know._ I just found it hilarious how the _PoA_ just casually disrespects the Empire's fleet like that. From what Star Wars media I've seen, the Empire is used to battles where it's their massive warships against swarms of 1- or 2-man Rebel starfighters that they probably view as insignificant bugs. So for this utter behemoth of a battleship to come out of nowhere and start pounding the crap out of one of their prized Star Destroyers-- with kinetic explosive munitions no less, something they were almost definitely NEVER expecting to deal with in the 'space-lasers-and-ion-beams' advanced technological age of the Empire-- they'd probably be freaking out on the main bridge of the Star Destroyer, along the lines of "WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?! WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?! HOW DO THEY HAVE A BATTLESHIP AS BIG AS OURS?! WHY ARE THEY USING SUCH ARCHAIC WEAPONS TECHNOLOGY, AND *_HOW ARE THEY WRECKING OUR SHIP THIS EASILY??!!_* " ...You gotta admit, it's pretty funny to imagine.
Tbf, through the entire animation it just seemed like the destroyers we're firing their aa guns at the major ships instead of the full cannons they should be using for a broadside, since if you look in RotS the capital ships have full gundecks on each side for broadsiding as well as main cannons and aa guns on the top and bottom to deal with smaller ships and fighters
Even more impressife when you consider the Star Destroyers are build fore this kind of combat, yet it still seemed to struggle. Realy shows there realy not all thet great.
Or in this case Slipspace, it's just a shame that it didn't get to put that tripple shot MAC cannon to use to put the fear of Sir Isaac Newton into those Star Destroyers
@@SgtUberGrunt Ain't nothing as good as a massive high energy multi stage guass cannon launching a multi ton slug at a significant fraction of the speed of light impacting the enemy's hull with such force to rival a nuke in directional form ripping armor... components... and frame alike to threads and scattering the shattered remains into the unforgiving void of space, or in short watching a MAC cannon tear a unprepared ship into glittering spinning debris. And Yes, I very much am obsessed with magnetic accelerator cannons, the power and precision those things can wield make me giddy to the point of concern, second only to the spacecraft they are often attached to or built into, heh
I like how the crew of the Enterprise seems so calm about the whole thing. A star destroyer crashed into them and they just stood there, a bunch of reapers tried to breach their hulls and they're just letting them do it, and they didn't even try to get out of the death star's laser.
reminds me of a comic book i saw called "Star Trek: the Manga", where they got into a fight with machines resembling GUNDAMS! one of them actually STABBED the BRIDGE of the Enterprise with a giant sword!
“We need someone to jump into space and throw this extremely danger device to destroy the enemy ship” Chief: (sips coffee) “just another day at the office…”
Yeah, no scene of them talking to each other, they just band up together like this happens every day, i doubt that they wouldn't wonder "hey, who's this guy next to me?", although, the reapers just attacked everyone willy nilly, because, they obviously would, they attack everything and anything, but the other bad guys would want to know who each other are long before they go after their targets.
@@mikapoful Trust me I know, otherwise I would be bitching about all the reinforcements arriving at the end when no one called for help while they are suppose to be lost in a different galaxy lol
@@ACOGLMT556 The Reapers were meant to destroy any advanced civilizations, some some races that are not advanced (sitll stuck on a planet) can easily survive. The reapers would honestly attack both Covenant and the Empire because they're advanced
You have captured in one short film the very essence of why and what we the fans love about these franchises and brought them together in a way that is simply amazing.
I wouldn't necessarily say _that_ ... this is mostly a lot of battle scenes (which is fine for this), while each franchise represented here has other, stronger attributes than just being more sci-fi eye-candy.
The idea is that they've been brought into contact with each other through a strange space portal this was mentioned in the first part of the video by Joker when he investigated the properties of the portal he said it was unstable

And since this was done by fans in their free time I know it could possibly take several years to make an actual full length movie version of this video, but I for one am definitely willing to wait.

This is precisely what I was thinking. Should have been a Master Chief and Commander Shepard infiltration mission to the center of the Death Star.
For Star Wars fanboys whining about ISDs shields are useless against Pillar of Autumn's guns
Star Wars shields although powerful, doesn't register PoA's kinetic guns as threat to they got through
ItsErisGaming Star Wars ships have both particle shields and ray shields which protects the ship against both energy and projectile based weapons

One small detail I really liked in 6:41 was when the star destroyer entered the system the pillar of autumn immediately identified the star destroyer's weak point
Yea it's really cool i actually didnt notice it at first
Star Destroyers shields are also meant for Lasers not conventional arms like POA has
Yeah Star Wars ships have far more power and insanely scaled ships and ship stats, but their computing power is always incredibly primitive in practice.

@@barryostash2296 I couldn't tell it was a voice over, he has the perfect voice and you look the role as well. This is my favorite collab on the Citadel.
wasn’t it the original voice? read the description
WHY ARE THEY USING SUCH ARCHAIC WEAPONS TECHNOLOGY, AND *_HOW ARE THEY WRECKING OUR SHIP THIS EASILY??!!_* "
...You gotta admit, it's pretty funny to imagine.
@@fala5764 yeah I noticed that as well. I'm pretty sure the empire could have actually win that battle... maybe
Even more impressife when you consider the Star Destroyers are build fore this kind of combat, yet it still seemed to struggle. Realy shows there realy not all thet great.
Our energy shields can't cope with Gunpowder rounds
@@neptuneplaneptune3367 shields weren’t meant to counter kinetic rounds so the empire was at a distinct disadvantage
You can't deny it. The Pillar of Autumn has the best entry/exit when it's going into hyperspace
Or in this case Slipspace, it's just a shame that it didn't get to put that tripple shot MAC cannon to use to put the fear of Sir Isaac Newton into those Star Destroyers
@@UNSCPILOT I was so waiting for the MAC to fire, that would have been epic
@@UNSCPILOT thats exactly what i was waiting for! Slipspace looks cool and all but it never used the MACs!
Elite dangerous capitol ships are the only ones on par :p
I love how the Normandy used the pillar of autumn to hitch a ride out of there
I was cracking up when all the other ships had video feeds besides the millennium falcon
I didn’t even think of that 😂 😂

Commander Shepard: Where the hell does this Metal-Ringing music comes from?
Andreus Triant are you asking for an awesome crossover, cuz thats how you ask for an awesome crossover
I like how the crew of the Enterprise seems so calm about the whole thing. A star destroyer crashed into them and they just stood there, a bunch of reapers tried to breach their hulls and they're just letting them do it, and they didn't even try to get out of the death star's laser.
Thats normal for Star Fleet ;)
interdimensional fuckery is called Tuesday in Starfleet, time travel on Weds, etc.
They got the Borg terrorizing them on occasion so it wouldn't be too surprising for them lol
reminds me of a comic book i saw called "Star Trek: the Manga", where they got into a fight with machines resembling GUNDAMS!
one of them actually STABBED the BRIDGE of the Enterprise with a giant sword!
Surprisingly reapers are worse than the Borg and this is just another Tuesday for Enterprise and her crew
You forgot Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, Doctor Who, Macross/Robotech, the Lejiverse, Firefly, Red Dwarf and a few others.
Funny enough the Doctor appears at the end of the vid
“We need someone to jump into space and throw this extremely danger device to destroy the enemy ship”
Chief: (sips coffee) “just another day at the office…”
“Again? Smh”
That ai though
That's a joke - 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Let's be honest the bad guys would of been to busy attacking each other then to follow.
Good point
Yeah, no scene of them talking to each other, they just band up together like this happens every day, i doubt that they wouldn't wonder "hey, who's this guy next to me?", although, the reapers just attacked everyone willy nilly, because, they obviously would, they attack everything and anything, but the other bad guys would want to know who each other are long before they go after their targets.
you are right but it's crossover fan film. It does not have to make sense.
Joker: There’s no way I’m bringing the _Normandy_ that close. Not without a diversion.
The Writers: DID SOMEBODY SAY DIVERSION
How have I not seen this this is like every sci-fi nerds dream

"Everyone is h..."
*Covenant shows up

*Imperium of Man arrives*

Where was the Systems Alliance???? Was it because the Normandy was Cerberus at the time???
WART WART WART!!!
The second the reapers arrived everything should’ve gone to hell
You have captured in one short film the very essence of why and what we the fans love about these franchises and brought them together in a way that is simply amazing.
I wouldn't necessarily say _that_ ... this is mostly a lot of battle scenes (which is fine for this), while each franchise represented here has other, stronger attributes than just being more sci-fi eye-candy.
The idea is that they've been brought into contact with each other through a strange space portal this was mentioned in the first part of the video by Joker when he investigated the properties of the portal he said it was unstable
