From a technological standpoint, the federation weapons are far superior to Star Wars weaponry. Turbo lasers are a phased plasma but only pack a moderate punch. Star destroyers also don't have very strong shields but rely on heavy hull armor. On the flip side federation vessels very powerful weapons when it comes to phasers, which are powerful enough to crack the crust of a planet and photon torpedoes are essentially as powerful as a 50 megaton nuclear warhead. Federation vessels are also far more maneuverable and would run circles around a Star Destroyer. The federation would mop the floor with the Empire
The only problem is propulsion, the star wars hyperdrive is akin to Star Trek transwarp technologies. However this really doesn't matter in the long run as one victory alone would give Starfleet the ability to replicate this technology and any strategic advantage the Empire could have is nullified by the inability to penetrate Starfleet shields and defences without getting destroyed themselves. So in the end the only advantage they have is the force, but what is the force compared to a quantum torpedo?

They confused "turbolaser" with "laser." Definitely a bit of nerfing going on. If it doesn't make sense I'll make it make sense: "Lasers" in SW are plasma bolts. That's right, you've been laughing about Romulan level weapons.
@@iBloodxHunter I love this "debate"...Mostly because all of the canonical sources that put numbers on weapons on either side of the debate tend to contradict each other gloriously. Like on the one hand there's information that puts a single Type X emitter at 5.01MW, there's information that says a 200 element array can output between 10,000 and 100,000TW. Same goes for the Turbolasers, there's information that says a single ISD turbolaser outputs "over 3000TW". But it has 60 of them which would be 180,000 TW combined output. Of course both bits of information are entirely useless as neither puts a time frame to this output. Similarly the statement that the twin turbolaser specific to some class of SW capital ship can "melt an ice moon 1000km in diameter" is kind of pointless, because it puts no time frame to this action. Yet at the same time we see handheld phasers vaporise humanoid targets. According to Trek lore they can do this by disrupting the Nuclear Strong Force within the target. But that'd take 650 TJ of energy per kilogram of water, scale that up to a 75kg humanoid and deliver that energy in a matter of a second and we're talking a sloppy 49 PW of energy delivered by a pocket sized weapon. Which would imply that a single handheld Type I phaser is orders of magnitude more powerful than a capital class turbolaser. And obviously with Trek's habit of logarithmic scales, a Type X emitter should be orders of magnitude more powerful than a Type I... so a 200 element array would be in the ZW to YW range. Never mind the fact that the main dorsal array on a Galaxy class is somewhere between 200 and 933 emitters, depending on the source. With 933 emitters being "more canonical" as that's derived from what's actually shown on screen. So yeah the numbers make no sense. There is no point in comparing. Oh and for scale, the sun puts out about 3860 YW/s of energy.

Not bad. There was a Comic Book a few years ago this reminds me of. Star Trek vs The X-Men. Followed up later by Star Trek the Next Generation vs. The X-Men Second Contact with the Enterprise E traveling to the Marvel Universe after defeating the Borg in First Contact.
I am glad I can just enjoy this Star Trek Star Wars mashup without worrying about stupid details like who's got more powerful weapons and more powerful Shields Etc I just enjoyed this mashup for what it is and it was very creatively put together.
The notion mostly comes from phasers being more powerful than lasers in Star Trek, though in Star Wars lasers is kind of a cover all term. So the joke (or serious take if you are a die-hard fan of only one I guess) is that Star Trek ships are way more powerful due to this. Star Wars argument is the turbo-lasers in Star Wars are not the simple lasers in Star Trek and are much more destructive than them. It's a decades old nerd argument, I remember people back in the 90s arguing over it. Though tbh I think a video of proper Federation warships (Sovereign, Defiant, etc.) vs. Imperial ships would be really cool.
The opening seconds gave me doubts & thoughts it was going to be cheap. Pushing through that, it was brilliant and left everyone hungry for part dos. A great blend of movies and the give & take as to who may win.
Vader: "don't be too proud of this technological terror you constructed ..."" What a deep message in that ! Compliments for your outstanding job, from Italy, too! I am looking forward your next artwork !
Sorry to tell you this but the Empire doesn't use lasers. They use ion canon. Someone said that the Empire's laser's power is the equivalent of the Klingons disruptors. The Enterprise won't able to survive the bombardment of the Star Destroyer's canons.
They use turbolasers which are plasma based weapons, perfectly capable of causing damage to a Federation Starships shields. Ion canons, while aboard an ISD are secondary weapons which while effective in SW would be of minimal use against a Trek vessel because their shields shrug off ion energy. Keep in mind I only use on screen examples of weapon damage not books because both sides use examples that are frankly ridiculous compared to what we actually SEE done. Now as to the power of an ISDs turbolasers, they certainly can damage Trek shields and ships even all 60 of them couldn't match the power of a TNG era starships weaponry let alone a Galaxy Class. For comparison in the Empire Strikes Back we see ISDs destroying mid sized asteroids with a few shots from their batteries. Trek on the other hand has an episode in Deep Space Nine, 'The Die Is Cast' where a dozen second rate Romulan and Cardassian ships destroy 30% of a planet's crust in one salvo lasting less than 10 seconds. The real problem is of course that all of this is irrelevant. The ISD would never get close enough to even shoot at a Trek vessel. ISD's turbolasers batteries have a range of 5-6 thousand kilometers. Trek phasers have a range of 300 thousand kilometers. And photon torpedoes can be fired from even further away. While the idea that an ISD's weapons couldn't hurt a Trek ship is false, it still wouldn't be able to actually hit one. Especially since range aside even sunlight Trek vessels move and fight at speeds approaching the speed of light and they are quite capable of fighting at superluminal velocities.
Data is unaffected by the force choke hold, some movie stuff happens and after a couple hours he blows up Vader with a single photon torpedo. The End. Part 3, The Emperor Strikes Back!
hilarious! Laughed all the way through. "Lasers? They're aiming lasers at us? (Data squeals with laugher.) Can't wait to see what happens. Well put together. I grew up on Star Trek long before Star Wars ever came out!
The Star Destroyers were definitely under-powered, as the main turbolasers are closer to the plasma cannons that are used by Klingon ships, though the standard weapons would have indeed been next to useless. Nevertheless, a very entertaining video, and I appreciated the use of the Dyson Sphere as the Death Star stand-in.
very very well put together edit. Yeah i have seen an old edit before, but this was a nice HD one. Really good use of scenes to make them blend. One suggestion i would say is you should have stretched out the star wars footage to make it not have the black widescreen bars. Give it the same look of the star trek footage...as if we watching TV footage of star wars instead of widescreen movie look. But other then that great job.
The best part of this is that the Enterprise actually encountered a race of superhuman sith-like beings who started force choking the entire ship. The part of them choking is from that episode. Wild episode that was.

@@Doctor_Robert I'm merely making an observation
This was highly enjoyable ! Great work !
What a FANTASTIC MERGING of the two! “The Empire Strikes Trek!” But if the Death Star was destroyed with Darth still on it, how would he have escaped? No shuttle craft were loosed. No tie fighters flew out of it before it exploded. LUCY! Jou’ve got some ‘SPLAININ’ to do!
This is fantastic. Well done.
Not bad. There was a Comic Book a few years ago this reminds me of. Star Trek vs The X-Men. Followed up later by Star Trek the Next Generation vs. The X-Men Second Contact with the Enterprise E traveling to the Marvel Universe after defeating the Borg in First Contact.
That second comic had a tie-in sequel: the novel _Star Trek: The Next Generation Planet X._
I am glad I can just enjoy this Star Trek Star Wars mashup without worrying about stupid details like who's got more powerful weapons and more powerful Shields Etc I just enjoyed this mashup for what it is and it was very creatively put together.
I love it. It's so fun! Especially when Worf accidentally destroyed one of em with the weak warning shot X)
Mr Nokem, prepare an additional canvas; create the sequel when ready.
THIS IS GOLD, JERRY! GOLD!!!
They DO know that..."laser" was just a colloquialism for Star Wars's spun plasma weapons, right...?
Lol, they never realize that. You bring up "tybanna gas" and they say it's for oil lamps or something
Great job! Need the second part!!! Very amazing!
This is good... I mean really good. Didn't realise Starfleet ships were so powerful.
Your skills are amazing and look forward to more. Thanks for making it. You are incredibly talented.
The opening seconds gave me doubts & thoughts it was going to be cheap.
Pushing through that, it was brilliant and left everyone hungry for part dos. A great blend of movies and the give & take as to who may win.
I'm imagine how Vader calls Picard princes
2 funny
Vader: "don't be too proud of this technological terror you constructed ...""
What a deep message in that ! Compliments for your outstanding job, from Italy, too!
I am looking forward your next artwork !
AWESOME! Totally awesome!!! Way to go, Hamilton! Live long and may the Federation be with you !
THIS IS CANNON NOW!
*CANON
This brings back memories. I watched all those other Trek Vs Wars videos over the years. Glad I wasn’t the only one.
I approve , that said I love both
This is so well done, any plans for part 2?
I was going to say wheres part 2? But I guess that's the neat part. We the audience decide part 2
Data is unaffected by the force choke hold, some movie stuff happens and after a couple hours he blows up Vader with a single photon torpedo. The End.
Part 3, The Emperor Strikes Back!
was this fan maded episode? i never know there was star wars and star trek corss over kinda cool
@@StainderFin Of course its fan made. They used clips from movies/tv show and blend them together.
hilarious! Laughed all the way through. "Lasers? They're aiming lasers at us? (Data squeals with laugher.) Can't wait to see what happens. Well put together. I grew up on Star Trek long before Star Wars ever came out!
Pretty damn good - & the ending was really fun! Do a follow up please!
"Your special effects are lameeee"
Vader, floating in space
I hate that animation short!!!
@@ZeldaSam1 why?
Poor Death Star, it was just misunderstood.
I still think if Vader force choked everyone simultaneously Data would just fire at his ship, since he can't exactly be choked.
That’s coming along well. “Prepare a boarding party, and bring me the passengers! I want them alive!!” 😆
That's probably what happened to force wielders. Q saw them mess with his favorite human, and eliminated all midichlorians from existence.
Dude made of nanobots vs. Literal magic
this was very well edited, great job !!
Brilliant. One the best mash ups I've seen.
FOKING AMAZING! :D amount of work and selection .... wel, well done!
They're more like Romulan plasma cannons.
Deserves a few million views. So funny to see these two in conflict but one OP as heck.
LAZERS Data loses it LOL
At least it wasn't sharks with lasers on their heads.
@@thegreatbamboozler4837 Who wouldn’t want sharks with freakin’ lasers on their heads?
With the exception of 1-2 off clips…
This
Was
Incredible!
🧐👌🏻
very very well put together edit.
It’s great to see an upgrade to major grins work - good stuff!
This is very well done! Better than anything Disney comes up with...
The best part of this is that the Enterprise actually encountered a race of superhuman sith-like beings who started force choking the entire ship. The part of them choking is from that episode. Wild episode that was.
Impressive, most impressive.
WHOA, This is kinda cool, to have a crossover with the Enterprise facing off against the Star Destroyer. 🤓🤓🤓 LOVE LOVE LOVE. Nice work whoever made this.
I have no words. Amazing!!!
I wish I had seen this when it came out. Such a great and funny blending of two shows/movies. Great job!
wow this is an absolute masterpiece!
This video is awesome :D Star Trek & Star Wars - The best of both worlds. May the force be with you and live long and prosper!
Criminally underrated!
“I used to wonder about that myself. Thought it was a bunch of mumbo-jumbo. A magical power holding together good and evil, the dark side and the light. Crazy thing is… it’s true. The Force. The Jedi… All of it… It’s all true.”
i had to laugh so hard as data laughed
This was one of the best edit jobs I have ever seen.
Then Q shows up.
GAME OVER !
Q snaps and all of Star Wars is gone.
Oh man this is FANTASTIC!! Holee Molee!!!
Very nicely done!!
