I am debating on whether to add the bagpipe soundtrack as my phone tone or my morning alarm. When I first saw that fleet reveal scene with that music, I cannot tell you the things I felt in that moment. Music is as important as visuals, and they nailed the soundtrack in these cinematics. Also, seems there is a new class of ship I never seen. What are those Bengals like UEES Corvus with those large turrets on top? Their engines look different than regular Bengals like UEES Krugeri.
The ones with the battleship style guns are cruisers. The ones that are missing the front part of the bengal are escort carriers. Besides that we have no names.
@@altragaming5021 According to this wiki, Argus is an Escort Carrier, Raiden is a Battleship, and Corvus & Integrity are cruisers. starcitizen.tools/2nd_Fleet
Its all good, but I am 100% about that dark foreboding, especially with the choral elements mixed in that they use for the alien themes... It almost feels like some of the Dark Knight stuff zimmer did, the pieces with chanting
Well, the Admiral is definitely Mark Strong. The captain I think is Gary Oldman and Maclaren I suspect is Gillian Anderson. At first I thought Katee Sackhoff, but I'm going to say Scully. Also, pretty sure that's Henry Cavill in the fighter squadron. I haven't seen any lead up to this game or read anything about it, how did I do?
Mark Hamill, Jillian Anderson, Gary Oldman, Mark Strong, Liam Cunningham, Henry Cavil, John Rhys-Davies, Ben Mendelsohn, and Andy Serkis are all in the cast.
Looks good...but the 'tactics' are terrible. Who sends ships forward with so little support when all you have to do is hold the position and defend the planet? They are the defenders, they have no reason to 'push forward'. Any losses they are taking is because of the stupid orders!
Not yet, but they overhauled all the MFDs to work with VR, and the guy working on the graphics APIs said he will implemented VR once they get Vulkan stable.
evade evade . . . initiate hard evasive maneuvers & deploy full countermeasures . . . evade & retaliate but don't become a fixed target for the enemy, you can only defend if you're still in one piece . . . this ain't 18th century Waterloo . . .
"Runways" on ships launching smaller craft are not necessary, and thus waste of space and weight. Small craft can just fly though an opening/door in the hull. Do not copy how today's naval carriers look, it's completely different environment.
How about a "mind-blowing" release date, or a "mind-blowing" effort to stop selling ships - excuse me, concept art - for tbousands to neckbeard backers?
And what has giving us release dates for the sake of publicity gotten us in the last decade. A lot of crap to please our mindset. But hey, at least its released right? I'd rather have a flawless experience when its ready. Hows the latest MSFS doing today after releasing a only hours ago? Gamers put way to much power on the word "release". idiots like you would foam their mouth over everything unrealistic in star wars yet you nitpick a space battle that's never been attempted before in any video game to this date.

Dudes, let's get real. They're outside of the atmosphere and have air intakes on the front of the first two ships we see. All the big ships are packed close together like every bad sci fi video. Given the framing and etc., the ships would be thousands of times as far apart for a whole variety of reasons. This is all in the first minute thirty. Now if it's a great story or a great game I'll just go with the world that's created, I mean light sabers are completely magic - no real scientific possibility - but it's more fun having the heroes have a sword fight than a long range weapon shoot out, but if it's supposed to be some kind of imagined realistic space battle game... then at least make the first minute and a half, half way realistic.
Are you dumb? The hornets have air intakes because they're capable of atmospheric flight as well. Air intakes aren't just for jet engines but also for keep components cooled during flight. Space is cold by default, But atmospheric flying need more direct cooling.
The ever growing challenge of balancing fun and realism. If they were that far apart, all we would see is one ship on our screen. Sounds fun to look at.

if we are able to build our owns bengals in the future i want to build one of those battleships or those cruisers like in the battle
you will in SC, but you need ALOT of NPC AI and Players to run it

negative, Admiral bishop (Gary Oldman) is the top dog.

there is no sound in space but its nice
