I’ve been shaving my head with the Leaf razor for almost 2 years, and after trying out over 30 different double edge razors, as well as all sorts of cartridge razors and electric razors, I can confidently say the Leaf is the single best tool available on the market at the moment for head shaves. Yea, there’s a little learning curve, but after a few shaves you’ll have it dialled and the results are far and away superior to any cartridge razor, with a smoother finish, longer time before regrowth, no ingrown hairs or razor bumps or irritation, and the cost savings over a year, for example, are self-explanatory.
It’s definitely an incredible razor! The most well made and best longterm cost saving option that I have had the pleasure of using. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Good trick to keep your blades fresh longer is give them a dunk in isopropyl alcohol after shaving. It'll remove buildup and residue and prevents corrosion. Thank you for the review!
The Leaf does an amazing job at shaving close, but will take off anything that is irregular. Its got a serious bite to it when hitting a bump that's not flush on the head. It doesn't allow for fine control like its sister razors, but works well.
@@MikeyD64 Yikes. I recently embraced the bald and have been thinking about shaving rather than using an electric but I’ve got a couple moles and I don’t want to risk cutting them. Thanks
I’ve been wet shaving for 10+ years, I’ve tried various razors over the years with varying results, I still haven’t found the perfect razor or shave, however some come close. Although I am totally intrigued by this it seems a bit much (I do love the look and would love to try it) but, if you’re gonna use a three blade why not just go back to the Mach 3 or something similar, it would be less bulky and less trouble (and less expensive I would assume) with just as good of a shave. That being said, I’m looking into this more because my stupid ass will probably go against everything I’ve just said and end up buying it, I’m still sitting on a Wunderbar Slant that rips my face apart and try it from time to time expecting a different result, I never claimed to be practical.
Why did you neglect to mention one solitary detail about how it actually shaves, how close it cuts, how well protected, or not, it is against nicking etc?
get the thorn, shaves just as good, it is more durable, the leaf 3 blade will not last you more than a year, thousands of people had their leaf fall apart, its the screw nob that breaks, go with the thorn
mine broke after 2,5 years, the spring system of the pivoting head to be precise. at the time i bought the twig as well and i started using that. the twig takes definitely more time but shaves better, doesn't clog as easily and it's way less aggressive on your skin. the only drawback which is valid for both are their handles and the material. for what i've understood it's not stainless steel.
@@garyjohnson9787 I'm italian, they don't sell it here. I bought it from a German ecommerce back in the day. Shipping it to the US would cost me almost a new one

Just starting on the head, which blades do you use? On a leaf here. Cheers
How does this compare to the Thorn for head shaves?

Exactly. Sliced two moles I have.

Best razor I’ve ever used… I keep a cheap Wahl precision razor for touching up around ears
Thanks for the info bro, helps me decide if I want to buy it. Beard is looking nice btw keep it growing longer man

I shave both my head and face, will it do a good job if I use it for both? Or should I use a different razor for my face?
The leaf is a bit bulky for a face shave. I bought the leaf /thorn combo. If you only want one I would suggest the twig or thorn.

That happened to mine they replaced it free off charge just get in touch with them

Leaf razor is absolutely the best razor for head-shaving I couldn't imagine using anything else.
not well made, mine fell apart after 6 months, the thorn razor is more durable, the Leaf was an excellent shave though
Well done Mike!
Thank you!
I'm happy with Harry's
They make an amazing razor! Still love them!
Seems more like a leg shaving razor than a beard edge razor
👍👍👍👍👍
But Leaf claims their razors are stainless steel. False adverstising?
The blades rust, not the razor body I believe.
Gillette king c double edge way forward
