This is/was a great review! Love the commentary. You demonstrated very quickly how one was easier than the other. That made my choice easy. I don't have time to chase parts. You clarified being able to use 2 blades as to having to have 3. Well done!
Great video Johan. I absolutely love my Leaf! The other one sounded interesting until you described how to load it. I think I will stick with the Leaf.; It has been the best razor I have ever used for head shaving. Have a great day.
I made the same experiences regarding these two for head shave. First i bought the Shavent but i needed to shave very slowly and carefully and still managed to cut myself even with very mild blades (Derby). Now i bought the Leaf and it is like you say: I can shave very quickly and it‘s funny but i get my closest and also most skin friendly shaves with 3x Feather in the Leaf, which would be impossible with the Shavent.
Nice video Johan❤️ Leaf is marvellous 🤩 Leaf offers packages (bundle) with stand and other stuff at reduced price. Last I checked it was 119us. Personally I like Leaf in combination with Twig, the Leaf-razor for small areas. For the euro customers that wants to avoid “biblical delivery lead times”, custom-fees and additional tax; Leaf also sell trough danish retailers 🇩🇰
Could the cutting problem be related to the angle of the shaving head? For me it is looking like the Leaf has a much flatter angle comparing the orientation of the blades to the handelbar? Or the blades are standing some more micrometers back in the Leaf. By the way, Shavent has now released a smaller compact model, which is withoud stand and is much cheaper, but as it is using the same razor head, I think there won't be a big difference between both.
I've got my Leaf for a couple months now and it's an excellent head shaver 👌 I experimented with 3 and then 2 blades and placing the 2 blades in different slots. The only issue I have is hair gets clogged under the middle blade/slot, therefore I have to unscrew it, open the flap and rinse away. This only happens with a week's worth of growth.
Thanks so much for the video I've had my leaf a month. I use it just for head shaves. I'm going to see how two blades work for me thanks again btw love the jokes
I've been ogling the Shavent repeatedly as an alternative to the Leaf. I only really use the Leaf with a single blade, as it feels smoother to me that way, although I only use it on my face. Because of that, I've been wondering whether one could use the Shavent with only a single blade and whether one could do so without using the spacers. I did actually email them about it, and they suggested that I'd buy the razor to try that, or ask someone who already has it. Seems a little shoddy in terms of customer support, but... here I am. A second question - how do you find the Shavent when shaving around the ears? Do the bulky sides not get in the way?
Both the Shavent and the Leaf are a bit bulky on the sides, but both work around my ears. The more I use both of these, I prefer the Leaf more and more. It is simply the best head shaver I have tried.
get a mini "ultrasonic" cleaner that cleans jewelry, and you'd solve all the cleaning problem immediately! LOL and you can also say u bought it for the misses as an excuse too, win win!
A very professional comparison
Thanks!

Thanks Lance. I agree, stick with the Leaf.

You are a bold (and bald) man
Good review and comparison between the two razors
Thanks very much Roy!
Leaf is a nice head shaver but the best dome razor I have used, including DE’s is the Gillette Skinguard. That design is magnificent.
Thanks Stuart. I haven’t tried the Skinguard.
Nice video Johan❤️

That is great advice!
The Rex Konsul slant de is the best head shaver to me. Just as auto pilot as a leaf but heftier and more comfortable
Thanks Seth. I have never used a slant razor - they seem a bit scary.

Interesting. It could very well be the angle. I will try to work that out.

Ok I only ever have one or two days growth so it never clogs.
I wasn't expecting an Einstürzende Neubauten fan to be a shaving reviewer!
Or vice versa, right?
They don’t replace them anymore with no questions asked. I had the same problem and they didn’t replace it period.
That's disappointing.

You are thinking like an experienced married man.
German one look like you’re building a puzzle 😂😂. Am too old for puzzles.
WoW, you killed any hope to buy the Shavent over the leaf.
English really should re-introduce the eð and the þorn so that we could see ðat it’ faðom not faþom.
Imagine ðat!
That is a good idea!
Fantastisch video mien freunden du deutsch?
Not well enough to speak it properly.
