    Honestly the torque specs on the rear sprocket bolts as well as the front sprocket nut as well as the number of links used would make this video really useful. After having just completed this, looking up all these figures would have saved us all a lot of time and effort. A consideration for next time.

    Looks great...here's a small detail tip for you...buy an extra master link in a different color and put that on...makes finding your master link so easy..also the captive wheel bearing spacers with the captive rear caliper mod makes putting the wheel on very slick.

    I thought the last model was high rear axle tourqe at 108flbs, but 137 just seems like madness to me , I'm thinking of sticking with the old tourqe specs because surely they made a slight error there 🤔

    I put one down on my 2020 R1. I think it should have came that way. It’s geared pretty tall, even for most racetracks.
    Used an air impact and front sprocket nut came right off.
    It moved the rear tire back 4mm which will help drive by keeping the front wheel down at the track.

  • @hristo633
    @hristo633 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Have you thought about trying the new Regina maintenance free chains? As far as I read the new S1000RR should be equiped from the factory with it as it was the first bike it was rolling it out. From January 2021 they said that they will produce for other brands and able to sell it, as now is only BMW specifically. It means no lubrication and no adjusting, since it has a ceramic coating. I think will be awesome to drop the messy chain lubricants and the mess they do at the back of the bike.
    Cheers and do have great holidays.

  • @Tiqerboy

    I made the same mistake on the front sprocket. I said "the one that's there is good enough" and that was that.
    Not sure why you went to all that extra trouble, after all, you didn't change the number of teeth on the front. And given how new your bike is, I can't imagine there's any wear to speak of on the front sprocket.

    • @kornboy22
      @kornboy22 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i think he went to a 520 pitch chain and rear sprocket. because stock is probably 525 he had to change the front sprocket to match.
      the lower pitch is supposed to be lighter so there is less unsprung weight

    • @Tiqerboy
      @Tiqerboy 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Makes sense, my only remaining question, I noticed Motonosity used Fry Riding's fat ass to adjust the chain tension. Fry Riding looks heavier than Motonosity, LOL

    • @kornboy22
      @kornboy22 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tiqerboy Yea I noticed that too. The way I do it is to put the bike on the side stand and then I measure the chain slack at the bottom horizontal part of the chain half way between the 2 sprockets at the loosest point of the chain.
      Normally the manufacturer recommends somewhere between 45 to 25mm.
      When you measure the distance lift the chain up as high as possible then pull it down as far as possible. Measure the gap between the top of the chain at both points.
