Alien Adventures in Roswell, New Mexico! 👽 Top UFO Attractions & Dining / Cross-County Road Trip

- Join us for our first time visiting the world famous town of Roswell, New Mexico. Known for "the Roswell incident" of 1947, this small town has a tourist center that has embraced the UFO craze with attractions ranging from educational to fun, campy and wacky, and everything in between. We found everyone so warm and kind, enjoyed delicious food, fun photo ops, and learned a lot about how one controversial incident has grown into the cultural phenomenon it is today. In Roswell, we visited the International UFO Museum & Research Center, the Roswell UFO Spacewalk, Alien Zone Gift Shop and Area 51, Stellar Coffee Co., Pecos Flavors Winery & Bistro, the Roswell Visitors Center, the famous UFO McDonalds, and the downtown tourist area, saw a mix of architecture, history and wonderful gift shops! There are so many strange features of the Aliens. The history center looked interesting but, probably more geared if one wanted to spend more of a majority of the day there. I liked the little fun and creative aspects about the other two places. Hope that you did get home with the Quarterly newsletter which looked fascinating.
Are you guys going to drive back to Florida too? It will be fun to see if you do and which route you take back!! You can tell how much fun your having and all the great memories your creating!!!

For anyone that loves “Americana”, Roswell should be on your list of places to visit. Cheesy but wonderful. We visited a few years ago and loved it. BTW, when you said “Making Memories” in your outro, it reminded us of the classic Disney song at the old Journey Into Imagination. Perfect for this road trip…

Every time I see a video of dining in Roswell, I always hope they go to the Cowboy Cafe. They have the most delicious food in Roswell. There is always a wait, but it is well worth it.
it used to be better before they switched to pre made burger patties and Sams Club bought rolls, they used to make them fresh.

😮 This was really cool. The Museum and other buildings y'all went into were cool and that would be something i would want to do to. Y'all made it really interesting to see all this😮😊 😃 Plus, This made want to watch the 1999 Roswell TV series, which I watched every episode when it was on TV through my last bit of High School years😅 And Of course I was raised watching movies with aliens my whole life, so I always been curious about Aliens and if a ship really crashed in Roswell and the government hid everything as fast as they could. long story short i helped run one of the alien attractions you visited. my wife and I were discarded like yesterdays trash after 2 years of caring for it. I was too expensive to employ and instead of renegotiation or talking to us and working something out I woke up to a termination email and it devasted my wife and child. we had no income and roswell has very poor paying jobs. i couldnt mantain the living we created over two years. we had to sell nearly everything and move. we moved on a whim to roswell bc im a huge sci fi nerd. it was the perfect town for me to live. and all those dreams came to an abrupt and ugly end over greed. I was replaced with much cheaper labor and everything I contributed to the business was erased. That near perfect 5 star rating was all me. All the art created by me like photos of town and stickers were replaced with cheap chinese crap to up profits. We still haven't recovered financially from that devastation and it still hurts we had to leave town...

Totally believe that there were bodies. A very high up at Wright Pat Airforce Base has said the bodies were moved from Area 51 to Dayton's base.
I live down the Road in El Paso, Tx and had never been to Roswell! I went with a school group to Visit Eastern New Mexico University . They have several Vocational Programs for Adults with Disabilities such as Child Care, culinary Arts, Vet Tech, Automotive! It was a Great Fun adventure to see all the Alien stuff! We also drove by the Mc Donald’s!
Jackie I had a strong feeling that was the next destination. Roswell! Heh, Iconic. I really hope you got a chance to drive in through Riodosa and Cloud Croft NM if you are in position to do so. They will put you in amazement of beauty if you've never seen the mountains before! Cheers and I hope you get to see those two places. And White Sands Is something to see.

This was such a fun video! Roswell is on my bucket list. Hopefully if everything goes to plan i'll be able to visit it next year! This year i'm doing salem MA which is another bucket list item.
Spoke with Stanton Friedman for like 10 minutes at the Hilton by Disney Springs in 2016 and after those 10 minutes I went from being a somewhat strong believer in UFOs to like yeah they're here,like theres not even a 1% chance aliens arent real.

I went to Roswell as a teenager who was obsessed with the X-Files and all things alien/UFO lore, but I'd forgotten so much of it! I am LIVING for this vlog! I would be so broke from wanting all the souvenirs and shirts and alien plushies though. LOL. I definitely need to go back and visit again soon. Salsa on eggs is delicious, Sam. We definitely went to that UFO museum! Space Walk looked super fun.I'm not sure if it was the same photo op place back in 1999, but we went to a similar experience - the pictures were so fun!

This is a good road trip, and the attractions well captured. In the sitcom I Love Lucy the gang supposedly travelled from New York to Los Angeles in a Pontiac Convertible.

Roswell is one of those tourist traps that we feel like we just _have_ to visit one of these days! It’s fair to say that Roswell is for aliens as Salem is for witches. 😉 Some of our friends have spoken highly of the wonderful weirdness in the museums and photo op shops, too. Oh, the number of times we’ve entered a place of business purely because of cool signage lol I think I agree that there is probably alien life _somewhere_ out there in the vastness of the universe…however, I think that if such entities have any interest in interacting with humanity, they probably won’t bother making first contact until we create our first warp drive. 💫 Regarding the spacewalk….I have no words, so I’ll use yours - ‘wacky, touristy fun’. 😂 It’s amazing how much fun you can have for $6-10 per person, if you know where to look! I desperately want to experience some of these attractions. My only thing is, why was it *SO QUIET* in Area 51? I’d have expected at least an ambient music loop or some sound effects lol super eerie! It’s been so long since we saw a McDonalds that still had a play place, let alone a _themed_ play place…that little snippet took us right back to our childhood. Amazing video; we’re loving all of these roadside attractions!
Definitely one of those weird places you just have to see with your own eyes at least once! I think you guys would appreciate it. The downtown alien area is kind of smaller than we expected, and it’s interesting how the main few UFO themed places really anchor the whole theme. Almost everywhere in town does have some alien stuff, but the bulk is in that little downtown. Weird wild stuff!!

I'm from NM. Cattle Baron is not good. Find a Texas Roadhouse. I like the UFO McDonald's. On this day the best thing in Roswell was you. When you get to Las Cruces try the Farm and Ranch Museum. Our Texas Roadhouse is very good. I also can recommend Si Senor for New Mexican food. It is excellent.

The Roswell Incident and The Day After Roswell are brilliantly researched novels I’d highly recommend. Outside of the tacky shops and museums. It’d be great down the line if you guys visited Mount Pleasant West Virginia and visited the sights where the Mothman/Indrid cold (Beyond Llanulos)and MIB’s were witnessed.

It was the Cold War spy balloon project. It was similar to the Chinese balloon that was shot down about a year ago. Honestly the American spy balloon project was a complete dud and it wasted millions of dollars for nothing. It was replaced with the U2 spy plane and the SR 71 Blackbird.
I’ve always wanted to visit Roswell. How fun! Would love to see you take on Branson, MO. It’s similar to Gatlinburg, but it has its own charm.

Jackie love the video looks like so much fun. Not sure if you are already through Arizona but you should go through Sedona, Jerome minning town with ghost advwntures and Oatman a ghost town if you want some fun side trips. Loving your trip.
On your way home, I suggest you go to Pagosa Springs and stay at the Springs resort. Its Highway 160, just couple hours north of Sante Fe New Mexico.
Wow! ..I'm so amazed that you went there... The town was placed on the paranormal map in the 80s by the book The Roswell Incident. Previous to that the public accepted the militaries weather balloon's cover story about what really crashed in the desert. From the 1940s till that book, the witnesses in Roswell who were still alive keep quiet about what they knew really happened and they kept silent till the grave. Now the search has shifted to try to find the EVIDENCE. The legend of metallic pieces of the time machine that blew up there and what happened to the frozen bodies of the time travelers after they were removed from The Base there at Roswell.
