So enjoyed the video this morning. Only been to Vegas once & we had to rent a car to ride the coaster at Buffalo Bills. Being so close to California I said we are driving to first town in California I need to at least step in cali once in my life. That was Baker Ca with the worlds tallest thermometer. I was surprised to see those places in your video. Thx❤
I have visited Las Vegas so many times from the UK,I have also been to Primm and had lunch many years ago at Buffalo Bill’s,amazing to contrast all places,all within a short drive of each other,thank you for reviving my memories Jackie and Sam❤️
Yay you did Calico Ghost Town! I love the drive to Vegas from CA. So Jackie, the first mistake you made was wearing BLACK in the Desert Sun bcuz black attracts heat. So on ur video Time Stamp 30:28 where you said it was "Sandy like desert, desert you know." Well, its not sand ur looking at. Its actually SALT, its a dry lake bed. I'm sure you saw a weird exit sign on the i15 showing "Zzyzx Rd" so, at the extreme end of Zzyzx Rd is a Abandoned Hot Springs Resort that utilized that once Salt Lake. Now The University of California Riverside occupies a portion of the abandoned resort for Agricultural Studies! Just fyi Jackie 😊😊😊 Have Fun In Vegas!

Route 66, absolutely love the history of it, mid century modern, historic sites, the original mother road! Going to watch now!! I love, love, theme park history, first and foremost, old school Disney and Universal, however, outside of theme park history, some of my favorite history is route 66!!

I've lived in Vegas since 95, a transplant from Los Angeles, so I've made more road trips between the two places than I can count. I've seen that Peggy Sues Diner sign a million times, and never bothered to stop. Thanks for showing how cool it was, as it looks worth a stop for sure, as well as some of the other places you guys visited as well.
I enjoyed watching your video route 66 looked fantastic but the thing that made me want to go all the way down there would be to see that very house that you guys went to see where are you are walking around sideways where everything was uneven floor that's what I would like to put on my bucket list would be to go see that House the food looked delicious and safe journeys to you and Sam looking forward to seeing where you guys go next and thank you for sharing your video it was super awesome 👍😎

This is one of the best stops on I-15. Also I’ve been to Las Vegas for the Jonas Brothers residency last year. Also they did extend my vacation to 15 days because I was sick. But it was a lot of fun in Vegas.

I'm a So Cal girl who discovered your channel while researching our trip to Orlando this November and it's SO COOL to see you in my neck of the woods. When you were driving up through the mountains on I-15 all I could do was smile because I drive that same exact route multiple times a day pretty much every day lol. The next time you're in Cali, you should do a road trip up the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway through San Simeon and Big Sur. There is so, so much beautiful scenery, I think you and your partner would really enjoy it.

Oh man! You guys are giving me road trip envy! In 2018 I drove through 15 states from my home in Arkansas out to California up to Washington and back. The Bottle Tree Ranch was one of my fave stops. Out west is just my jam. It feels like home. Have fun! I loved watching this😍

It's been a very long time since I've been that way...used to go to Victorville or Apple Valley about every other Friday when I lived down south, but last time I went to Arizona (2019) I went on the 40 so missed all these stops on the way to Vegas. Hopefully will get another chance to head that way sometime again! For now I'm happily here on the Central California Coast! Thanks guys for sharing your journey!
Nice you got to see that part of the country and let others see it as well. I've always thought Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon were the 2 places I wished we took my Mom to. Get your kicks on Route 66 🎶😁 These small roadside attractions are some of our country’s greatest treasures, imo! Peggy Sue’s Diner looked like a real hoot. Who would have guessed that you’d run into so many Universal Studios icons so far from Orlando? 😉 So cool to see an authentic American Ghost Town, too! Dated reference, in more ways than one, but it looked like you walked right onto the set of 1990’s “Tremors”! Those forced perspective mystery shacks are always so fun, and your guide did not disappoint. ‘Desperado’ has always looked like a painful ride to us, but I’m with you, Jackie…even if it hurts me, I desperately want to snag a ride on it if it ever reopens! 😝 It always floors us how much you two are able to pack into a day, particularly a travel day. Glad that you were able to find the time for all these exciting stops on your way to Vegas, and glad that you got to see the Magic Mountains before they are dismantled. Green rock mountain is the best rock mountain! ✨
I'm just catching up on videos and I'm glad I started with knotts and then here. I'm a native Cali girl grew up Disney & Knotts and now I'm going to stop at Calico cuz I use to love the mystery house as a little girl til I think the 70s 80s when they took it out of Knotts I never knew what happened to it. And we use to just continue on to Vegas not knowing Mr. Knott bought Calico all these years and your showing me something new. I have a new day trip to plan. Thanks❤❤❤❤😊

It's so funny. We just got home from our little road to California to see family about 3.5 hours from Vegas. Where we just moved about 1 month. And seeing the same road trip we just took. 😂 love it. I feel the same about desperado. I hope it opens up. Alien jerky place would've been a fun stop. It was by biggest thermometer. Can't wait for more videos 🎉

I was in Vegas February 2023, I was so overwhelmed. It is a lot. I wish I would have had a car to see some of the sights outside of Vegas. I didn’t even know about those beautiful colorful rocks. Definitely wanted to visit the Grand Canyon.
Totally overwhelming, just finished editing days 1 and 2 in Vegas (combining them into one vid), and I was smiling the whole time re-living how funny everything was and how overwhelmed we were!
You're in my backyard and didn't stop in and say Hi!. You picked a great time of year to come out this way, it's been a very mild spring, as usually by this time it's in the 100s. You picked many of the excellent stops from OC to LV. Elmer's bottle Forest is fantastic, you covered it well. Peggy Sue's service and food are so good. So glad to see that you stopped in there to experience it. Calico is a fun stop. Eddie World is a fun stop, and there is another Eddie World in Beatty, NV if you're ever out this way again need to check out Beatty NV, and Rhyolite ghost town is just down the road. I just stayed at Buffalo Bill's a few weeks ago, just so you know the rides are supposed to reopen later this year!!! The tram I was told won't re-open (the track doesn't exist any longer). You missed stopping at the World's Largest Chevron Station in Jean, NV. Seven Magic Mountains wasn't supposed to last longer than a few years, but they are still there! So cool you were able to stay at the Mirage before it is rethemed. Enjoy your stay!!!!!!!!!!

In February of last year, my family went out to Yermo to attend an event at Calico Ghost Town celebrating California’s state becoming. After that event, we then went to Eddie’s World (which we went to before during a Vegas trip in 2019) and then Peggy Sue’s Diner. I’m glad to see you visits those locations on your way to Vegas.

I've stayed at the Mirage for a work conference for the past two years and I love it. It's going to be changing to a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino over the next few years. It makes me so sad because the Mirage is such classic Vegas.

Loved this Jackie!! Such a great fun trip vlog!! The Mountains in California on Route 66 are so beautiful and such a pretty view from the car!! The restaurant you guys went to for lunch looks so cute inside and the turkey sandwich looked really yummy! Sam’s burger looked huge!! Ghost town is so cool! Loved all the rocks and the show was so fun!! The instructor guy was really funny!! so glad you guys are experiencing and exploring your road trip so fun to see you go to all these different places!! It's so funny. We just got home from our little road to California to see family about 3.5 hours from Vegas. Where we just moved about 1 month. And seeing the same road trip we just took. 😂 love it. I feel the same about desperado. I hope it opens up. Alien jerky place would've been a fun stop. It was by biggest thermometer. Can't wait for more videos 🎉
i drive to vegas a lot from cali and it's super fun to stop at some the neat attractions along the way. really enjoyed this video and makes me wanna go back to vegas
Even though its long, I love the drive from Cali to Vegas. Probably because I don't have to drive lol. But I've never been to Seven Magic Mountains. I wanna go one day though

I was in Vegas February 2023, I was so overwhelmed. It is a lot. I wish I would have had a car to see some of the sights outside of Vegas. I didn’t even know about those beautiful colorful rocks. Definitely wanted to visit the Grand Canyon.
Totally overwhelming, just finished editing days 1 and 2 in Vegas (combining them into one vid), and I was smiling the whole time re-living how funny everything was and how overwhelmed we were!
You're in my backyard and didn't stop in and say Hi!. You picked a great time of year to come out this way, it's been a very mild spring, as usually by this time it's in the 100s. You picked many of the excellent stops from OC to LV. Elmer's bottle Forest is fantastic, you covered it well. Peggy Sue's service and food are so good. So glad to see that you stopped in there to experience it. Calico is a fun stop. Eddie World is a fun stop, and there is another Eddie World in Beatty, NV if you're ever out this way again need to check out Beatty NV, and Rhyolite ghost town is just down the road. I just stayed at Buffalo Bill's a few weeks ago, just so you know the rides are supposed to reopen later this year!!! The tram I was told won't re-open (the track doesn't exist any longer). You missed stopping at the World's Largest Chevron Station in Jean, NV. Seven Magic Mountains wasn't supposed to last longer than a few years, but they are still there! So cool you were able to stay at the Mirage before it is rethemed. Enjoy your stay!!!!!!!!!!

In February of last year, my family went out to Yermo to attend an event at Calico Ghost Town celebrating California’s state becoming. After that event, we then went to Eddie’s World (which we went to before during a Vegas trip in 2019) and then Peggy Sue’s Diner. I’m glad to see you visits those locations on your way to Vegas.

I've stayed at the Mirage for a work conference for the past two years and I love it. It's going to be changing to a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino over the next few years. It makes me so sad because the Mirage is such classic Vegas.
It is so sad to see the water park like that. It was so fun. Sad to see Primm like that as well. When it was new it was amazing to stay at.
