- Join us for the final day of our cross-country road trip, where we drove from Orlando, Florida, to California! We spent the last weekend of the trip at Disneyland, kicking back and celebrating the journey we've just been on! To celebrate, we were finally able to get reservations to dine at Blue Bayou for our first time! We really enjoyed the marching band, lots of characters, and some beloved favorite rides like Pinnochio's Daring Journey, Snow White's Enchanted Wish (formerly Snow White's Scary Adventures), Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Space Mountain and more! We also enjoyed warm churros and a second day at Disney California Adventure, where we enjoyed favorites there like Radiator Springs Racers and Guardians of the Galaxy. We were there on the last day of the Food & Wine Festival, and before Pixar Fest started, so we got a little sampling of each of those too! Mostly, we just wanted to enjoy the parks and relax and celebrate the milestone of completing a drive across the USA - over 3000 miles, 20 days, and seeing so many amazing sites along the way! That is my high school marching band I am going to be with them this year in my highschool this month they were studying so hard playing today I am a leader of the marching orchestra Band in my college school this month are the greatest to watch them this year this is the head captain of the cheerleading girls and boys team this is Jenna Dabao had fun

Thank you for being honest with your Blue Bayou review. The Filet Mignon is dry and tasteless. Same with the chicken. We prefer Cafe Orleans and Tiana’s instead. My favorite at DL is the patty melt at Carnation Cafe.
The finale montage is superb, and I loved the main street band dancing to your soundtrack the best. Thank you for bringing us along and working so hard to put out 0:01 this quality content that made me feel like I was there with both of you. 💙

Sam the people mover is Disneyland was there for 28 years. It was the Rocket Rods which replaced it that only lasted 2 years. We Disneyland fans wish they’d bring back the people mover!

We LOVED your 2024 Road Trip and hope to see more videos like this in the future. The end montage was awesome. BTW, for this video, we couldn't help but draw comparisons between the Blue Bayou and the San Angel Inn at the Mexico Pavillion. Okay food but awesome atmosphere...

Next time you’re having to stay at the airport… check out the Hyatt House right across from the airport. Rooms were HUGE and breakfast was totally free and amazing! Also.. have you ever been to Cars Land at night right before the park closes? You get the entire street to yourself! It’s the neatest thing! I really loved your journey and love that you take us with you!!

If you ever eat at Blue Bayou again, try to ask to wait for a waterside table. It’s beyond fun to wave to the people on the boats. We’ve had luck on past trips with a lunch time reservation or dinner, but first time slots for both, arrive 15 mins earlier to your time and ask at the front, and they’re almost always able to accommodate 🥰
It was so busy and packed, they weren’t taking requests for table spots :( I heard them tell someone else so I didn’t even try to ask. I bet it’s a much better experience that way. The rest of the tables in the restaurant are all squished together with no view. It’s a weird setup!
@@SuperEnthused oh I totally agree! I’m in Canada so only get to the parks occasionally, but I’m not sure I’d be thrilled with the food quality/prices if I couldn’t get a better spot. That said I found the San Angel Inn at Epcot had very similar vibes (minus the amazing Pirates smell haha). So happy you got to try Blue Bayou once anyways, but I can totally agree with it being a one and done (or two and done) kind of place! Been watching your vlogs with the family since the beginning and hope to meet you both one day! ☺️ I need to get back to WDW. Took our kiddos to WDW in 2015 and swore we’d be back sooner, but time flies! Being in Alberta, Disneyland is far more convenient for us, but oh do I love Florida!! Keep up the amazing job you absolute ray of sunshine, girl!! ✌🏻☀️❤️
I ate at the Blue Bayou when I turned 40 and had the Jambalaya! It was great! Your food looks great too.
While I get to Walt Disney World occasionally, it's been a LONG time since I've been to Disneyland. Thanks for taking us along.
Also, thanks for the "heads up" about traffic near LAX. I have to go out there this Fall on business and was planning on renting a car, but after seeing that, I think I'll just Uber.

You’re absolutely right, we live in an amazing country with lots of great and unusual places to visit. Living in Florida you and Sam are very lucky to be able to visit Walt Disney World often, but there’s still so much charm in Walt’s Original Disneyland.
So glad you both had an awesome trip, but yes, as fun as long trips are, there’s no place like home!

I think Disneyland is a great and symbolic park. Walt Disney put so much thought and heart into his park😊 I haven't been in person, yet, but it looks so Magical. I think this was a great way to finish y'all long adventurous road trip😊 Y'all seemed to really enjoy y'all road trip and I enjoyed the adventure with y'all through the screen 😊 I can't travel much because of disabilities, but I always wanted to go on road trip adventures. The speedway in Tomorrow land is simply the best 🚘I really enjoyed that ride very much also hyperspace mountain is an ok ride
I think Disneyland rides are more better than Magic Kingdom rides 😉

I agree about the Blue Bayou. It is top notch for atmosphere and cool to be inside Pirates, but the food quality does not justify the price. I wish the food was top notch too. They didn't give you a good table to sit at, which probably didn't help your experience. Love your content!
Yea our table was bad. But siting squished in the middle would have been far worse!! It kind of seems like the only good tables are the one little strip of tables near the water.
What a awesome wrap up to your road trip. To me this would be a once in a lifetime event. Traveling from Coast to Coast. I loved watching all of yours and Sam’s adventures. Y’all are perfectly matched. I definitely would like to go to Disneyland one day. The traffic at the airport looks horrendous. It was a great adventure, one for the books. I can think of literally no greater finale for _any_ trip than a few days at the Happiest Place on Earth ✨ The Fantasyland Five are always must-do’s for us! Trackless rides are cool, but there’s something so beautiful about a classic ghost-train style dark ride that modern technology just can’t replace. That whimsical tune as you’re being sent to hell on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride 🤣 Pirates at Disneyland is also just so much longer and more elaborate! And RSR is our absolute GOLD STANDARD for theme park rides and attractions across the entire industry. This is such a beautiful wrap-up to such an amazing series. It’s been so fun to watch you both exploring the Southeast and the Southwest and we can’t wait for your next adventure! 💫

The Matterhorn is not just a ride, it's an icon. The silhouette is unique and adds such character to the park's vibe. Plus there are climbers who scale the Matterhorn and rappel down it. Only at Disneyland!
What a great road trip, Jackie! I'm sure the editing of the videos were a pain but I, as well as the rest of the viewers, appreciate the hard work you put into your channel. You could add Sam's videos on Speed the Ride and Desperado into the play list as a little cross promotion. You are, Jackie, as always amazing.

I was able to ride Rocket Rods a couple of times as a kid. Living in Southern California at the time, I remember seeing a lot of commercials for it, but I dunno if it really lived up to the hype lol. I wish I'd gone on the original Peoplemover; I remember seeing the vehicles going around the tracks and asking my parents about it when I was very young, but they said that ride was boring and I wouldn't like it.
One day I will eat there. I thought the Sunday would be $15 . So $9 is a deal !
