- Today we continue our travels through New Mexico as we visit Santa Fe and Albuquerque. We visit the original Meow Wolf location, take in the unique architecture and views of Santa Fe, have the best dinner of the trip so far at a Saloon in Albuquerque, enjoy shopping, art, and the atmosphere of these unique and special New Mexico towns! On the drives we also check out Clines Corner, route 66 and abandoned towns, and gorgeous views of trains, deserts, mountains and windmills from the long and lonesome road in this part of the country. It's stunning! Awesome video Jackie!! I loved it!! That house was so cool but also looks a little creepy. I really liked the black and white room!! The restaurant looks so cute. I love all the decorations and the booths are really cool!! The rice looked really yummy!! The little town is so cute!! Love all the little stores and the Church is absolutely beautiful!! Denver is my favorite MeowWolf personally. They also have a dark ride in Denver at Elitch Gardens!
We stayed at the La Fonda hotel on the plaza in Santa Fe for a couple of nights years ago. The Spanish hotel was built in 1922, but it was built on the spot where the first hotel was located in the 1600s. So it's new compared to that but it was so attractive in it's very old look. I loved it. Santa Fe has some really good Mexican/Spanish style food!
I moved to Florida from Albuquerque 27 years ago, I miss it! I'm happy you guys enjoyed my home town it really is a special place.
Open road for 2 hours 😮 hope you had some good tunes. The Santa fee meow Wolf was really cool. The first portal room reminded of the old tardis. Sensory overload brilliant. Loved Effel the whale 🐋 Hugh Noon Saloon very atmospheric. Wonderful alcoves for private dining. The Ascension Crystals shop wonderful 😊 there was a lovely peacefulness at Santa Falepe . Looking forward to the next leg of your trip 🤗

Wow the landscape is so different than the East Coast. The mountains and the bareness are striking. Albuquerque buildings so low, it’s fascinating. Beautifully different!

I have not been in a Meowwolf yet. Looks nice with the interactive art around. I loved the Mayan and Aztec designs in the restaurant.
In Oklahoma City we have Factory Obscura, which is similar to Meow Wolf. There's even a connection between Factory Obscura and Meow Wolf Santa Fe that lets you communicate between the two installations.

I'm from Orlando & I went there for a birthday. We are at that restaurant in Old Town. I know someone who owns the candle store. Went to meow Wolf museum also. Had the best time. Culture shock in the U.S. just amazing.
I would love to go to the same places. I didn’t know the Flintstones place existed and that Alien place you paid 5$ each for. Those places looked cool the type of places I love seeing
Next time you guys pass through Santa Fe go eat at Tomasitas, The Cowgirl Hall of Fame, and The Pantry. Tomasitas is also in Albuquerque, The Frontier on Central is also delicious. For fast food try Golden Pride, Bob's Burgers and Dion's 😊

Sometimes when traffic is backed up like that from Santa Fe to Albuquerque. I'll take highway 14 which goes around the backside of the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque. It's roughly the same amount of time and more scenic. During the drive you'll see the little town of Madrid NM where they filmed the movie Wild Hogs. And close by is Cerrillos NM where they filmed Young Guns. Hopefully you'll comeback to explore New Mexico. There's so much to see in the state.

I live very close to Meow Wolf in Santa Fe NM.
Watching you in these new and unusual places and unlikely landscapes is what makes watching this interesting.
If you ever find yourself in Columbus OH, or Philadelphia, there's another version (less story, more walk through art installation) called Otherworld!

Been by the church. On Route 66 in downtown there were so many great 40s and 50s business signs. Got breakfast burritos at a place in a building that was once a fast food place. They were HUGE. Weird hotel, can't remember name but it was a national chain. They put a hold on cards until they inspected the room for damage. Took pictures of every nook and cranny.
Now you need to just find your way to Denver to visit the Final MeowWolf exhibit….

We drove through Albuquerque New Mexico on our way home from my 15 day stay in Vegas back in 2022.
Visit ABQ during the first 2 weekends of October for its well known Balloon Fiesta.
Those Meow Wolf attractions are awesome! It’s like walking through an enjoyable nightmare. We want to go to there.

In Albuquerque I hope you got to take the tram up Sandia Peak. Tinseltown nearby is a cool place to visit as well. For eating in a retro diner, you cannot beat 66 Diner in downtown Albuquerque off Route 66. Thanks for taking us along with you on your road trip!
We always, always take a cooler of water, drinks, and food on all of our road trips. There's always road issues, weather issues, and assorted other issues, so it pays to be prepared.

Albuquerque has all the fun Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul filming spots, but I definitely prefer Santa Fe. Regarding Meow Wolf, it doesn't have the same storytelling as Omega Mart, but I think the original location is my favorite so far.

Those meow wolfs are so weird! 😂 I have only been to New Mexico once with my grandparents, a long time ago. Gotta go back! We came from the north from Colorado but went to Santa Fe and Albuquerque, where my grandfather was from. Good memories but long ago. Thanks for sharing your trip!

You have to go see the hot air balloons one day! Actually Championsgate has hot air balloons and that is quite a sight.
You should head to Ohio and Pennsylvania to Otherworld!! If you like Meow Wolf it is the same feel.
This made me really miss New Mexico! I wouldn’t want to be so far from Disney World permanently but I do love how the low humidity makes my curls look when I’m there! 😂
Now your 2 meow wolf attractions are the conversion station and keldascope dark ride in Denver until the new one in Washington D.C. and the other one I believe somewhere in New York and more

Remember if you see sky color in distance change from blue to green, big wind storm on thecway. Pull over and head car into wind direction. I have seen cars and semitrucks blown off highway between Barstow and Arizona because they continued driving when I pulled off. I thought my windshield would break wind so strong.
You should stop at BioSphere in Arizona. Ive always wanted to go. Hopefully soon.
FYI, they're opening ANOTHER Meow Wolff in Houston sometime this year. We've been to the one in Vegas and had so much fun. Would like to visit more of them.

This was awesome and cool going through the fun house, as we call them😮😃 My Dad is a Retired Truck Driver and he drove on Route 66 many times. He has told my Sister and I some very interesting storie😮 Once again the MeowWolf places are very cool. I just hope y'all hand sanitize alot doing all what y'all do. Covid is still out there, my Moms boyfriend had Covid last month, and he is vaccinated, and he was sick, so it is still strong. Everyone still be cautious, I'd hate for y'all to get sick. Plus,y'all might still want to wear masks in closed on losts of people places. My family still wears masks in grocery stores and inside places with people snd we hand sanitize alot. Anyway, just had to say this. Still y'all have loads of fun and enjoy y'all adventures, just be very safe. I'd love for y'all to enjoy the adventures and not get sick. Thanks for this. Oooh there is Forbidden Corner which is similar to Meow Wolf if you are ever in Yorkshire, that's like a Victorian folly/maze with tunnels and all sorts. Loving the road trip videos!

There’s something truly beautiful about how excited y’all got about the tumbleweed 😂 Three Meow Wolf installations down, two to go - there’s a new one opening in Houston this year! We love seeing these magnificent works of art through your eyes. I feel like we could see a hundred different Meow Wolf vlogs and still have no idea what we were walking into if/when we visited! 09:18 Getting some “Felix the Cat” vibes from that particular room lol I think I’d pretty much _have_ to use the magic washing machine to access the neon room, but I appreciate that there are some less claustrophobic paths to the same destination. I will throw this gauntlet down for you, though; I think the Denver installation blows the Vegas installation out of the water, in terms of scale 😉 Can’t wait to see what you think of that one someday! I did not realize there are four different locations for Meow Wolf. They look a little psychedelic. As I’ve been watching this videos I noticed that Sam is a very laid-back driver. He doesn’t look like he gets mad, he looks like the type of guy that will let an 18 wheeler in. Bravo 👏 well I’m loving all these videos. I’m glad y’all found a good place to have a great meal. Can’t wait for your next video.
He’s a great driver, and he enjoys it. We’ve experienced so many different kinds of roads and conditions out here, it’s crazy!! I love driving too, but he enjoys being lead driver for road trips 😂
Funny thing about Clines Corner: I met a guy in the Cayman Islands while on vacation, and two years later, I saw the same guy in the bathroom at Clines Corner. Neither of us is from either of those places. What's the chance of that?
